Interesting and a fresh way of presenting it. I have a little trouble with the fact that it still keeps the "trapped" in the wrong body theme in it, but at least it does not use the phrase. The idea that we are not changes from our birth selves, but now open continuations of that self is one I can relate to however. Me oh my does it get slippery here.

"The campaign, of course, is not all-encompassing. The focus is still on transition rather than the lived realities of transgender people that all too often include violence, discrimination and unemployment — but it is a positive step away from the Morgans and Courics of the world."

I think this final paragraph sums it up well. It aims to produce a big improvement in attitude and understanding. Hopefully that attitude can drift south at some point on the back of a cold front.

Thanks, Joann. There's something to be said for being free that's for sure. It's a question I ask myself all the time. Will it ever be my turn to be free?

I think the message is a good one even if it is not all-encompassing. It's something isn't it and it raises awareness. It can only help.
