Ok so I am MTF and this is the only time i have dressed up. This Wig is cheap 3.00 from wal-mart and i think it makes it too obvious that i am not a girl. I don't know if it is the wig or maybe blonde ain't my color or maybe my face just looks to masculine, idk!! please comment back ^_^

Gotta agree with Kelly Ann -- smile some more! =D

I can't tell if the blonde is good or bad...I'm not so good with colors or style or...anything....XD

And also, cheap wigs never look good. I cosplay and have a fair amount of experiance with wigs -- you want to get a fairly good quality one. The ones I use are synthetic, and used for characters with weird looking hair...but I can suggest the sites I get my wigs from, they carry normal looking ones too.

Cosworx

Amphigory

Cosworx is where I generally get mine, but Amphigory is very nice too.

Hope that was helpful in some way. =3

Cheap 3$ wigs won't look like real hair even remotely. Can't really judge there. Cissexual women could pass for men by being "too artificial" visibly. A cissexual woman as a drag queen would probably be considered a man.

And yes, smiling helps a lot.

I noticed your eyebrows.. natural blonde?.. the rest of your skin seems to suggest quite a fair complexion and so blonde works well.. stay with it.

As somebody who got into wearing cheap wigs on stage they do have a few redeeming features. You can make them pass.. but you have to make them obviously a statement and obviously not your real hair. Quite a few girlfriends from the goth/punk fringes I hang out with will do all sorts of things and be unrecognisable from one day to the next. They tie things in their cheap nylon wigs.. they add different colours and tie them up. Then they go for makeup which makes just as much of a statement.

Don't worry too much about it.. the best thing to do is invest in one reasonable wig.. go and get it styled and wear it until it becomes a part of your normal day to day routine... otherwise you end up walking around with the "stiff neck syndrome" which looks odd. There really isn't any need to spend a fortune on real human hair wigs.. I have a couple which are for ladies who are having cancer treatments.. They are reasonably priced and look 99% normal... People who recognise them also know that they are "cancer wigs" and don't say anything.. otherwise in day to day wear they are just fine.. nobody notices.. Your own hair should grow out in time and allow you much more freedom to experiment.

And.. smile.. the smile says more than anything else. Even if you are bricking it inside an outward air of confidence and a smile goes a long way to passing. I stopped caring what people think a long time ago.. when I realised actually most of them aren't thinking at all ;)

Everyone has told you to smile - do you know why?

Go out and watch women walking down the street, unless they just had a fight with their SO or someone died most of them will have a smile on their faces, most very slightly upturned corners and lips togehter.

Men are the one's who go around frowning!

How can you not be happy, you're a lovely young ladyand you have found Laura's and a lot of new friends.

You have by-passed the introductions forum and no one has welcomed you - sliding in the side door, reminds me of Evan.

Come in sit down and have some hot cocoa and cookies, we are all here for you and hope that you enjoy your time here.

Relax and don't be so hard on yourself.

Love ya,

Sally

Personally, I'd suggest a dark red colour, almost brown you know?

Grow out your hair. It really gives you a different look than any wigs you pay for.

From my experience, though, expensive ones look like crap as cheaper ones. If you just wanna experiement with what you might look like with different hairstyles, cheaper ones are way to go and no regret on how much money you can spend on.

Well, your face looks kinda chubby almost I wanna say, like a Woman's. You face is smooth looking, and your lips look around the same size if not bigger than mine. And I'm Pre-T. Your nose looks okay. You look more like an FTM. We scowl and look all GRR and serious! >=( <(GRRRR) Get a different wig. I'll give you a wig with my Arm pit hair that'll be good and long... and real... and smelly... and bacteria infested... okay never mind... lol! I think brown is the best color around. Blondness kills braincells! (Ask my mom) (And my therapist) LOL I'm a meanie aren't I? ;)

Lewis is such a smooth tonged devil, don't you think? GRIN

Spend $40 or so on the next wig. Take VERY good care of it.

Consider growing your hair out. Blonde is fine, usually the darker Honey blondes or streaked types look more natural.

Doing fine sweetheart - oh oh oh - I'd pass on the underarm hair offer!

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

Congratulations Sam,   The common saying her once someone starts HRT is: “Enjoy the ride.”   Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
