If Laura is playing transgender themed music wouldnt it behoove her to have all transgender band mates so as to not be a hypocrite?

I have come to realize there is more quarreling in the transgender community by transgender people than by cis gender people.

It seems we fight ourselves more than anything else.

As the cartoon character Bugs Bunny once put it on spot -- "Humans is the craziest peoples!!"

Its an opinion that is LJG's personally held one, and is hers and not everyone's in TG ville. its a squabble and difference in the music and entertainment field, pure and simple, and should not influence us or the Cis public. Had a Cis person made the same statement, no headlines.

I can see her point because there are plenty of trans actors who have probably a miserable time getting work. It would have been nice if they did use a trans person. I mean I don't see it as a big deal but I also don't see Laura's tweet as a big deal rather I see it as something in between water-cooler talk and a letter to the editor. It's not like she is starting a movement of some sort against Arcade Fire, unless I am wrong then sorry However if trans people were fully/mostly accepted at this point then I would have no problem with non-trans people playing trans people because of course they are actors they pretend for a living! However due to the fragile but growing awareness of trans rights I feel that using trans actors is optimal. -Nicki
