I have a supportive family member!

Most of my family's reactions have been tolerantly accepting. Like they don't much like our understand it, but they're not going to disown me.

But I got this from one of my sisters today on a fb message. She's been asking questions about my transition:

"Hey Broster, Just wanted to let you know that I am asking these questions because I am interested and excited for you. None of our family here seem as excited as me when I talk to them, except maybe that M(stepsis) thinks you are more comfortable with you. I love you and look forward to the changes that you make in your journey."

It is great to have a sibling support you. My brother loves having a sister. No more competition with the little brother. He has become quite protective and we are closer than ever.

I was quite amazed with some of the emails that came pouring back in after I told my extended family. Aunt's and cousins who I never expected to be so supportive, were. Even one of my cousins outed himself as gay so it was cool to know I had support in my family. Life is good when this happens.
