I want to dress more Androgynous so It would fit my Androgyne identity. I'm sick and tired of dressing Masculine for my parents. I feel like I always need to protend that I'm someone I'm not. I want to express my true gender expression by buying a new line of clothing.

I've been looking all over the internet, I couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know where I can find Androgyne clothes?

I am not sure if there is such a thing. I am really MTF but I like to wear softer men's clothing. For example, there are many shirts out there with soft fabrics and cuts that only because they button in a certain way, are technically mens. For example 'city fit' shown in the label indicates a metrosex look. You have to go to the better and larger stores. Walmart won't do.

I also buy women's tailored shirts that could be men's wear because I can use them either way. All my jeans are ultratall women's from mail order JC Penney. I wear these at work and I am really not out there. They have such nice pocket detailing.

So I would say, buy from both men's and women's clothing sources, which means you need to study your sizes in both. That info is on the internet - but women's sizes are tricky, and vary more by manufacturer than do men's.

And final advice - go directly to the stores, where you can try things on - tell the clerks you are androgynous if you are against the grain there - but mainly show you have a credit card or check book. Ha! They will be glad to help.

Everything really depends on YOUR look. If you're a 6'4" linebacker with a beard, and come to school wearing a dress and high heels, you're still going to look like a 6'4" linebacker with a beard. That's NOT to say that a 6'4" guy can't transition to a softer look.... but he'd have to lose the beard for starters, right?

So seriously, what you should wear to "soften" your look has a lot to do with how YOU personally look, carry yourself, walk, gesture, talk, etc. If you carry all of THAT off, then you'll notice that in a typical H/S, the clothes worn by 90% of the guys and 90% of the girls are nearly interchangable, particularly in the winter time. Go for tighter, lower-slung jeans and don't carry things in the pockets. Softer t-shirts and hoodies, and perhaps layer the t-shirts so that the tail of the under-shirt comes out under the tail of the outer shirt. Contrast the colors a bit. As the weather starts getting warmer, shift to pastels -- you don't need to go "pink", but light grey, tan, light green, light blue, and other light shades all do the same thing for you. Pay attention to your hair. Let it grow out a bit, and get it styled. It's not a matter of just LONG hair, but what you do with it. If it's very short, then get it styled as it grows out. Groom your nails -- let them grow out just a bit, and use clear nail polish. In the winter particularly, use a slightly tinted lip balm. What sort of scent are you giving off? Don't wash yourself in women's cologne, but use a woman's shampoo for sure -- one with a soft scent (Clairol Herbal Essence is a great one, particularly for body.) If you have a beard problem, plan to shave a couple of times a day, but be SURE to use a skin softener. (For that matter, use a skin softener anyway.) Be careful with jewelry, but a ring or two and a very androgenous bracelet, particularly when you're not at school

Did any of this help?

Hi ericc,

If I understand you correctly, you are not necessarily interested in getting girls clothes. You simply want more feminine (mens) or genderless clothing. Well, at almost any clothing store, if you take the time to look. You will find feminized mens clothing (soft pink shirts, pocketless pants, socks that are more like hosery, etc). The key is to search for them. They are not always right out in the open.

I hope this helps,

bernie

I concur with Christy.dancer,

Good tips.

Personally I would be careful with clothing especially as being androgen, it's easy to "overdo" if you understand what I mean. take a look at girls around you, you will find many differences in how they dress, and not everything is super feminine. Not every girls walks on high heels, because it's too impractical, see where I'm going? You could go for UNISEX clothes, many girls clothing these days are indeed interchangeable, but again take care and not overdo it by drastically starting to wear 100% pink or something, it has to fit with your body style as well. :D

One thing that drastically can change your appearance is your face and your hands. It's the first thing people look at, so this is a very subtle playing ground to start. But again, it's easy to overdo so be mild in changes, because how many people out there use 3 layers of makeup? Yep, almost none. I do recomend the use of day & night creme for your face, it makes it more subtle and softer. Also the use of facial masks are really mandatory! :D couple times a month, or once a week a mask will make notable changes in your face texture. Maybe trimming your brows can help a lot, but it's hard to do by yourself if you don't know how. And again 1 mm difference can alter your whole face here.

So key is to do things in small steps and try to do less instead of more, because otherwise people notice that it's overdone and get all kind of impressions about you and probably put you into a box you wouldn't be put in.

How, this is really great advice. Thank you all, keep it coming. LOL

But seriously, yeah. I was looking for facial cream tips and stuff like that. I have an Androgynous face that I want to keep from getting wrinkles even though I'm in my early 20s.

I like the color Turquoise, it's my favorite! ;)

My favorite materials are silk and Nylon.

1-silk-turquoise-background.jpg

This is a great example ironicly LOL

But yeah, I always loved Nylon. I have it on my Baby blankets that I still keep as a Memory. I have Nylon pockets that I always like to touch. Maybe it's a sensery thing, I know that sensery plays a role in Autism / High Fuctioning Autism (I have Asperger's Syndrome) but that's a completely different story. LOL

When I do the laundry at my house, When I hang up My Step Mother's Clothes I just think, Why can't I have silky clothing like this, and such bright colors too. It's like most men's clothing is rough cotton material and have such dark colors. That's not my thing. I like soft matterials. ;)

But yeah, I'll keep that in mind when I look in stores. Is there any kind of clothing catalogs that anyone can recomend for Androgyne's like Me?

Of course we do.  The few friends I do have are almost exclusively cis or trans women. I think I could have a relationship with a man, but he would be kinda "other" to me.  Could be interesting though. I never have understood guys - even when I was trying to be one.

Our government is huge and could, and probably should, be streamlined. But we are living in 2024, and not the late 18th century.  The founders did provide for updating the Sacred Constitution.  And it has been done on occasion.   There is a lot going on, and I don't want to be a single issue voter.  But I feel that it is being forced on me as a matter of my survival.

Many women my age wear their hair super-short, and I don't really have a need to have it long.  Longer in places where I can't grow it, if it is long  No aspirations to be a supermodel here.  The mustache would have to go before the wig comes if I ever did that.  I am threading a narrow path.

Not all evangelicals condemn people for being trans.  Some evangelicals are even trans.   He can pray for you all he wants, that is fine.  I will personally take all the prayer I can get.   It sounds like he has been reading or listening to John McArthur or the SBC.  Not much you can do. Pray for him.

It'll come in waves with hormones. I have noticed that when I apply a fresh patch and the next day comes I feel euphoric and towards the end I feel really bad and dysphoria kicks in. I still feel body dysmorphia of what I have and can't wait till SRS

"entries from “citizens who have changed their gender” will not be considered"   Considering that trans people don't "change their gender" but rather may or may not transition to some extent to affirm their gender, this rule seems superfluous.

They make supplements for hair growth I have been using one for four months and it is now at 6" long when I had nothing before. Although I take more than the pills. I take growth spray, oil, and a supplement that is added to a drink. My hair is very healthy. Unfortunately it's very curly so it'll take longer to grow

That's a toughy to say. But I do know that it's an area for improvement with me. I can get pretty down on myself sometimes. I guess I have to remember that I'm human just like everyone else, not perfect. And that's okay.   Lots of love, Timber Wolf 🐾🪻

Good morning    On this date in 1972 it was a Saturday. I  made a pledge to love and honor my wife and keep her forsaking all others.  I have kept those vows and here we are celebrating our 52nd anniversary still together.  Still caring for each other through sickness and in health.  Still sharing our lives.   Other than that, it’s another day near the beach.  80 and mostly sunny.     I found a ‘17 GMC Acadia yesterday I want to take a look at.  It’s a bit more than I wanted to spend but it’s doable. Only 69k miles on it, with the low mileage I put on cars these days it probably won’t ever hit 100k if I do beget it.  Low mileage now is  likely because it was a leased car at some point. Those usually get pretty good care and not a lot of miles.  It would be similar in size to my Ford, 7 passenger seating but a more basic trim which is fine.  It only has a 4 cyl engine so potentially rather under powered for a relatively large SUV.  The ford has a 4.0liter 6 which is a bit large for cars these days.  Instead of full time all wheel drive, it apparently has 4 modes, 2, 4, sport (what ever that is, I presume it’s over drive turned off) and anti slip.  It’s probably not going to happen but I am keeping my eyes open for a good deal. The old Ford is just that, an old worn out Ford.  Since I bought the Ford I’ve only put about 10k miles on it in 6 years.  My daughter once had an Acadia, top trim package.  When she was driving back and forth to work close to 100 miles per day and going to Philadelphia every week another 500 or more.  For her the miles added up fast.   still keeping my eyes open.  This is about the right age and size but I was hoping to spend about $2000 less.   Other than that I hope to meet with my minister today about paper topics for my class submission.   Other than that Monday is laundry day so I’ll be doing several loads of laundry today.     I put on a neutral gel nail polish last night.  I tried this before, however, I don’t believe I correctly understood the how to get a good result so I was more careful this time.  All I want it’s to give my bpfinger nails enough strength to grow out just a little and stop tearing.   Well, I need to call to make an urology appointment.   @Birdiei was born in Ohio and until Lamda Legal sued them you could not get a sex change on a birth certificate for any reason.  Now you can.  In South Carolina a name change requires $300 and a form filled out and filed with the clerk of courts.  But a gender change requires a birth certificate with the new gender listed.  I am hoping they will permit gender X eventually but right now the state is too Red to do any such thing.   Willow
