Eating Wrong?

Hello I am Evelyn, have a question concerning my medicine and the amount of food I eat. I am not actually used to eating a lot, so I can't help but be skinny. I want to gain weight, so I eat a lot. Is this bad with the medication I am taking? I have been becoming faint almost immediately upon standing, and this happens most of my standing life. If i don't eat, i feel less sick. I get supper shaky and bone deep aches on my arms and back. Not just my left side, yet my heart always was; enlarged due to my size, odd timed, and abused during bike riding in 100° weather in the dry city of Rio Rancho while having high blood pressure before hrt. Maybe a website to help.

The amount you eat is not as important as what you eat. Putting on weight by eating unhealthy foods high in salt or fat and sugar can cause a lot of health problems. Especially if it is big change.

But more importantly you may be increasing your potassium levels. HRT is usually potassium sparing so eating the wrong foods can become a serious problem for some people. High potassium is very serious. Unchecked it can be fatal. In addition we are not qualified to diagnose medical problems and I would recommend that you see your Dr. and discuss with him or her what you are experiencing and the best way to out on weight for your body and health.

Weight gain, like weight loss, needs to be done slowly in order not to over stress your body-particularly your heart and with an enlarged heart already it is really important to get medical help with this.

Thank you very much Johnny, I am taking your advice and going to see my doctor. My therapist said they may up the diuretic.
