Cross-dressing and having a beard

Guest Stevie

Recommended Posts

I am an entertainer and have a nicely trimmed beard and mustache, which goes, along with my performance character.

People remark that I look very elegant with it but I find I’m a little frustrated now with it having newly discovered cross-dressing. I would like to shave it off so when I chose I could look more feminine.

I look at all the avatars of the members here you are all so gorgeous!

Welcome to the Playground, Stevie.

Having little or no facial hair can certainly improve the cross dressing experience, IMO. When I cross dressed, i tried very hard not to notice my mustache, but it was there nonetheless. But it certainly isn't impossible to cross dress while having facial hair, especially if you aren't going out in public. It's entirely up to you. Not having facial hair is a wonderful feeling.

Thank you for your thoughts Carolyn Marie. You are absolutely right for now it is just for me.

It would sure be fun to go to a convention all dressed up though ;-) Maybe someday.

Interestingly I have no body hair i.e. chest, legs and arms.

First off, Welcome to Laura's Stevie.

I couldn't help but wonder while reading, if you could have a costume as well for your performance character that would consist of a fake beard and mustache? They sure look real on TV when they have to be fake and if it means you get to be yourself as you see fit and still maintain your characters for your performances. I got to the point where I wanted to shave my goatee that I had for 13 years. I never cared for it, but my ex-wife loved it so I just always had it.

Either way, good to have you here and hope to see you around more.

God bless

Ashley

Ashley, thank you for the welcome I am really hoping to make some great new friends here as we all share such a special bond.

Your suggestion of the fake beard and mustache is great because then I would not have to always be “in character” so to speak. Right now I trim everything very close and neat so it is fairly conservative. However I have always enjoyed the look of a classic Van lesbian style. Today, unless you're Johnny Depp, it is pretty hard to pull that one off full time ;-)

Thanks for your awesome suggestion Ashley!

Katy, My hair has turned white and I have enjoyed the older look but yes, it would cut off a good 20 years I am sure.

Bearded Lady indeed ;o) just picture Buffalo Bill in a pretty dress. Ha ha

All my best to you both!

Stevie, unless your facial hair is of the "ever so slowly growing" variety and the look you have right now is months in the making, couldn't experiment with a new look? Some of the people with whom I work do this all the time. During the course of a year they have several varieties of facial hair from clean-shaven to full beard and several variations in-between. Just a thought....

Hello Kati, I wish I could, I know gentlemen who could grow my beard in a couple of weeks. Frankly I am surprised I have any facial hair at all as I have no body hair. The hair on my head and face grows very slowly.

The last couple of days I have trimmed it even more hoping to make a slow transition to no facial hair and try an artificial mustache and goatee.

You ladies all look so beautiful I would like my face to be pretty too. ;-)

Thank you for your thoughts Kati.

I do remember dressing and adjusting the mirror to remove my head. I was the headless woman in my life for years. Then baldness crept in and i had more reasons to remove the top half. I really didn't shave until i first started to realize that i might actually go out even if it was just a drive around the neighborhood or a trip to a gay bar. Once i shaved i did loose 20 years. When i tell people i'm retired they are amazed, when i say i'm 66 i love the ooh no's i get. You've got an advantage as an actor in knowing much about makeup and role changes. Enjoy and make use of it. Perhaps another but real life Tootsie awaits.

Hugs,

Charlize

It doesn't seem to bother Conchita Wurst! Personally I have virtually no body hair and I have never had moustache or beard. I seem to fall into the CD world very easily. Genetics have left me with everything but the body I really want. :-(

I went to the beauty place one time, but I felt bad when the beautician began to cry and rock herself as she looked at me, so I haven't been back.

I cant see anything on me but from my neck down so I ignore the rest. As for the public, either I go to certain clubs where I can do as I please or take private walks in secluded ereas so I wont be seen. In my neighborhood I don't really care.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
