Church anxiety. Not sure what else to call it.

I am proud to be a christian and I consider myself a man of God. I also love to be around other young christians. They are just full of energy and are more likely to be accepting. I have even made a few friends through my collage Fellowship club.

However, I fear that they might throw me away if they knew who I really was. Or even if I was a member of the LGBT+ club on the same campus.

It's gotten to the point where I have been avoiding the club altogether.

I just want to follow God without the fear of being judged by other Christians, but still have fellowship.

Wish I knew where.

Well, if you can tolerate Episcopalians as Christians (I am one) look for the Canterbury ministry on or near your campus. The Episcopal church is welcoming to Trans* folk's as well as LGB students. There may also be a campus club affiliated through Metropolitan Community Churches, (MCC) that are LGBT Christians as well. One more is anything sponsored by the United Church Of Christ. They may be a little different from what you are used to since Biblical Literalism is not on their plates they way it may be elsewhere, but they will still be your kind of folks.

The Unitarian faith also is very welcoming. Our local church hosts a Trans meeting and welcomes all to the congregation.
