Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this here. I was so upset at first to read this article because I was afraid it was just another article filled with labels, but I read it, and it was a pleasant story, with no biased opinion about Ms. Lane's sexual preference, it was a great article about how great of a reporter she is, and make known that their are other people that are trans and it's o.k, although the labeling of being the first trans-reporter was brought up, it wasn't what the story was all about, it was about how this person is good at their job, and people like to talk to her through interview, where they may not talk have talked to someone else. The labels are necessary, because a male-chauvinist could make life bad for a trans-woman, we all know this because it is in the news where we have lost some sisters in this cause that we all are passionate about. I just felt so good reading this article because the way it was written, it was never belittling. I just dislike labels. I am passionate about being me, finding me, and learning of other people like me, who share the same passion in the same cause. We are all great people like Ms. Lane, and we all have to find ourselves and that is why I love all of this website, she is so passionate about reporting, and nothing gets in her way of that, not even being trans, I hope she gets promoted to National Television on a regular basis.
