Controlling The Chesticles!

#1 - Ever since I started wearing Spandex and Underworks binders, I've been getting little blackheads and acne all over my chest and under my "Chesticles" XD (I just like that word) I was wondering if you other guys get that? and if you do anything that helps to prevent, or get rid of it.

#2 - With my underworks binder, I adjust my "Chesticles" a little higher in the binder to make a more masculine looking chest. I Was wondering if anyone had any better ways that they wear their binder? and also today I was out for a while and my "chesticles" lowered themselves, and I was just wearing my binder and a sleeveless thin shirt. -.- my chest stuck out an extra inch or so, I had to lean forward while I was in the post office to hide them and then in the car in a parking lot pretend the area just below my neck was itchy and as discreetly as I could re adjust them! >.> so please any help guys would be nice so that doesn't happen again!

#3 - I know there's no way to particularly like magically shrink your chest via exercise but if there's any exercise that particularly gauge toward fat burning in the chest area, or if you guys have any other ideas on making them a little smaller that would be greatly appreciated. The squishy testicles of mass are really starting to become too big.

I wear a stomach exercise belt. It is meant to be worn on the belly to reduce belly fat while exercising. My breast measurement has gone down 4 inches in the past month just from wearing it everyday all day. I don't wear it tight, but the perspiration of everyday activities brings it down.

I went out and bought some of the exercise books meant for men. Whereas female exercising books worry too much about losing weight in those critical areas, men books tend to look more at building muscle while losing weight. Toning. Flip through (or better yet, buy) one of these books and look at starting a routine. The best way to lose weight is to routinely exercise while also continually changing your routine as your body changes! Keep it up and you'll get there!

I find i have problems using my binder so i tend not to use it for similar reasons, due to the fact they always seem to slip and and somehow end up sticking out i get really paranoid about it and i end up having to look like i'm itching all the time as i adjust it. It's not too big for me! I got the smallest, and it's actually possibly too small as i have a tear in it from having to stretch it round to get the velcro to fasten, so they are not slipping cause it's too big....It's just because they can and i swear they have a mind of their own and just do it to try and embarrase me in public!

As I have said in other threads, I didn't bind for long and, as such, am not an authority. However, I do know some general guidelines that I picked up along the way. You also might check YouTube. There are some videos with tips for binding.

With respect to positioning, I think I've heard most say that down and out is the best. I think this probably varies with chest size. If you are bigger and have a bit of a belly, longer binders create a "fabric line" that hides one's chest pretty well.

In the end, even your chest pokes out a bit, people won't always notice it. You'd be amazed at how little attention most people are paying most of the time. Most judgments are made based on the Gestalt, the whole. People don't take the time to assess individual cues (like a chest that pokes out just a little). They only do that if something seems "off" from the beginning. Slouching and trying to hide things probably draws more attention than just standing up straight. That causes people to start scrutinizing. Remember, there are a lot of bioguys that basically have breasts. I have a professor that totally has OBVIOUS breasts. He's pudgy, but they are definitely out of line with the amount of pudgy that he is. Still, no one thinks he is a woman. Even if you don't feel it, try to act confident. If you are using an Underworks binder, it is probably fine. I have a friend who has C's and binds almost completely flat with an Underworks binder.

Blackheads? Yeah. I used to have problems like that before I got surgery. Sometimes, especially in summer, I'd get a heat rash under my bra because I only took it off to shower. I had DD's and they were hot and miserable. There's not a lot you can do. I used to make sure to wash the area with like a (pardon me for being girly) loofah sponge. Exfoliate, but not to vigorously. It will sometimes help.

Another thing I found was that I was allergic to the material my binder was made out of. One of the ones I had was made out of this elasticy stuff that gave me a rash if it touched my skin directly. I ended up just using a Frog Bra and doing what I could.

That's all I've got.

Are you wearing an undershirt underneath the binder? That might help a lot with your skin.

Like Stranded said, people look at the whole and very rarely specific details. Stand up straight. Very very few bioguys are completely flat anyway. Just be yourself and be confident.

I mostly run for exercise, but try lifting weights to build up your upper body, especially your deltoids and your lats (don't do those only though, or you'll hurt yourself, do a full upper body work out). If you can build up muscle in your shoulders, it will draw attention away from your chest. Balance is always the key when lifting though -- make sure you do your legs and core as well, and make sure you're using correct technique and safety so that you don't hurt yourself. Here are some workouts you can do at home that are designed with trans folks in mind (there's some other good health stuff on here too): http://www.trans-health.com/displaysection.php?sid=3

You can buy one at Walmart, Dicks, anywhere really. Just look in the exercise section. I think it cost about $20 tops.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?...uct_id=10719763 This is the type of slimmer belt, although this comes with a cold/hot pack. The ones I have don't. I did have to alter mine a little, just put it on, wear it for a few days. You'll see where it buckles and you can just cut it with scissors. As I lost weight, I've been cutting it more and more.

Hope this helps.

lol@ "chesticles"...too bad they can't be used for bottom surgery!

As for the binding thing I'd probably be good with just a sports bra although as of yet I only have some crappy ones that don't even really fit properly and are way stratched out lol

That's actually not such a bad idea. Have you seen how big phalloplasty scars are? They sometimes put in extenders to stretch out the part of the skin they take the graft from. In my case, there was more than enough skin from my chest surgery to do like 3 phallos. I guess the reason why they don't do this is because 1) too much surgery at once, and 2) if someone does get bottom surgery, they get it a long time after chest surgery.

Too bad we can't save the stuff.

Frog Bra is a good sports bra/binder. You get them from Title IX sports online.

This is..................awesome!

We should totally save it, just for the hell of it. And then tell our kids some great made up story about some horrible accident we were in that was so cool that we couldn't help but save the remnants....

*in an old man voice*

"These used to be my eyes!! Rawr!!"

...and then the kids would run away crying.

Hey, my great-grandparents used to chase me with their false teeth. This is.... perhaps a little weirder.

A pec of pickled pecs! Sort of...

I'll stop now.

I am gender fluid, leaning heavily towards trans masc. My eldest is male and despite all the "stuff" we deal with with him (autism, speech delay, etc) I found him to be easy to raise. When my middle kid (female) was born, literally the first words out of my mouth were "I don't know how to raise a girl!" And I really felt I didn't know. She showed me. She's still showing me how to exist as comfortable and completely secure in her gender expression. It is entirely awe inspiring to see all three of them feel so settled in their bodies in ways that I never, ever felt or feel to this day.

That sounded like an awesome opportunity to dress as your actual self. I have to say I'm a little jealous lol. I never got compliments from people and definitely haven't been kissed. I can imagine that part was still really nice and boosted your confidence.

I've been absent so much lately I feel as if I'll never catch up. Too much going on in our lives that's kept me away from the keyboard. and limited my time as "me."   I am so looking forward to your post on how you arrange your life. I know that I won't ever be able to fully transition so finding some happy balance is crucial for me.

Mae, you are so sweet for making this comment.   Desert Fox, you are so right.  I always knew that even though I was part-time, my motivation was way more complicated than a simple desire to wear women's clothes.   Your question is a timely one because in my next post, I am going to talk about how compartmentalized my life is, and the short answer is yes.  I have friends who only know Sally, friends who only my male persona, and a rare few that know both.

@EasyE With my background in Behavioral Sciences I do go to actual conferences for the medical and psychological professionals that deal with Trans Youth, and in those conferences, the ethics of "too fast" versus "too slow and restrictive" are a heavy concern.  There is very thoughtful sharing among the participants for making professional judgments that the therapist is comfortable with without being afraid of what is "too soon" or "not soon enough" to advance to medical prescription therapies. The ethics of what constitute reasonable caution or unreasonable delay are deeply at play in those situations, with the idea to prevent harm while alleviating the patient's stress and other issues.  This type of conference fulfills Continuing Education license requirements that most states and other areas have.  From them the therapist may seem to "speed up" their evaluation process, but it is based on the accumulated experience of colleagues, just as is true in other professions and yes, even trades.

That's wonderful news!! I took our pup in for her Vet check today - perfect. She slept 7 hours last evening and is coming along really well with her house breaking and crate training.   I know you'll have some excitement with a new Boxer!!

Surgeries are drastic, and indeed should be a last resort for minors.  As indeed they are.  It is very rare for anyone under 18 to get gender-affirming surgery.  It is typically only done if the person would be suicidal without it.   Puberty blockers are a way to avoid the "drastic measure" of forcing the person to undergo the wrong puberty.  They should not be prescribed lightly, and I don't think they are.  They are a way to go slow until the person can truly make an informed decision.

My Endo keeps track of several trace chemicals in my blood system that can be affected by our slightly different hormone balance, keeping in mind we have had both hormones all our life, just in different balance.  I did have to change one diuretic I was taking that was crashing out one chemical that does affect energy levels, and it turned out that Spiro was the alternative to that one for the way it works there.  I was never on Spiro for the hormone issues per se.  Let your doctor know about the fatigue sometime today or whenever you read this.

Hmmm .  .  . if I only had a ten-word description that completely described my identity. That would be great, but one doesn't exist. "I'm a girl—and a boy. And neither—and both?" There. Now you know, right? Maybe not. —Davie

I think you should discuss it with your doctor.  I know you are 'asking around' but experience probably varies.
