Fears?

I’ve got a couple. And the funny thing is, the ones I have are a couple that I’ve done and have done so on numerous occasions. I know weird, right? Well, that be me, I guess?

Anywho, the first I’ll mention is high communication infrastructure work involving the male function or augmentation of Guy Towers. No more. I’m posting a link below to serve as reasoning for my position on this.

The second one is swimming in the deep ocean. I’m still a rather daring person but lookin’ back on some of the things I’ve done I often tend to wanna lean toward the word idiotic.

One time while down in Fort Lauderdale I swam out well past the buoys and one of the lifeguards came out on a jet ski and got me.

While I was stationed in Alameda, my buddies and I would sometimes do this to see who could swim the furthest out before givin’ up.

Since then, I’ve both seen and heard some things about the deep that serve more to frighten me of it.

***Warning: You may find this video to be rather horrifying. It does in fact show someone falling from a tower due to “faulty U-bolts” that were used to in part to hoist an antenna section.

However, you DO NOT see any carnage or actual death at all, only the beginning of the tragedy and the aftermath of which.

Let's see, I have a few lol:

- Spiders/bugs (I remember once I was driving and I saw a huge spider so I freaked out and noticed started driving bad because I was so focused on the spider. I pulled over and tried to kill it with some papers I had (I'll really act like a girl in situations like this). I drove on thinking it was killed, but then it came back!... so I leaned over in my seat as far as I could and neurotically drove back home as fast as I could (I wasn't far from home yet), I went inside and said OK... I can miss my class today--anything to get me away from that spider, I couldn't get back in the car knowing it was in there.)

- Sometimes being alone freaks me out (I used to get panic attacks, and I didn't want to be alone if this happened)

- I generally am ok with heights, but if I'm too close to an open ledge or railing I could fall over, I might lean against the wall (lol).

- Falling off of a cruise ship especially in the night. The thought of this scares the CRAP out of me... I almost died in a rip tide once... so every time I see rough water or waves, I remember how merciless the ocean's water can be.

- Swimming in very deep water that I don't know how deep it is because I can't see the bottom.

I'm sure there's more but I just woke up and I can't really think of what I'd be forgetting.

Oh I know what I forgot....

- The fear of being struck by lighting while in the shower. I live in the lighting capital of the world (Tampa Bay, FL), and so the chances of getting struck by lighting are considerably higher than any other place... Ever year you hear of people who are inside getting struck by lightning that travels thru bathroom fixtures like showers, or toilets. So every time it storms (Like right now as i'm posting this) and I need to take a shower I usually wait, or if I take the shower I feel like I need to get out fast before I push my luck. It's really irrational tho, because the odds are still pretty small ... but still it is possible, and more possible where I live I guess.

I life in constant fear of being afraid.

That's almost as hard to deal with as fear of one day being happy.

DEATH!

Everyone has that fear - but what if 'IT' is waiting for you to just get almost to that happy happy happy point? THEN - zap!

Will I be allowed to transition before I die? My therapist says I have plenty of time... but?

At my funeral, family gathered around, "s/he looks so natural doesn't s/he? I mean JUST had that SRS thing? I mean too bad s/he had that allergic reaction to the anasthetics!

Kinda black humor - but at my age?

Im afraid of swimming in deep water because I can't swim that well. Im afraid of rejection and I think I have claustrophobia or however you spell it.

I fear being weird and not being normal. I fear that I'll mess up in public. I feel like everyone's watching me and expected me to do something the right way. I also don't like bugs. yuck.

I almost drowned three times growing up.

While I have no fear of water,(I can swim like a fish),I have a phobia about not being

able to make it back to the surface. And I am claustrophobic to the max.Bugs, snakes and

crawly things do nothing to me.But then,I grew up on a farm waay out in the boonies.

I share that one with you, but I am begining to develop a fear of survival!

It's kind of like a fear of death, but you don't die - you just countinue to tread water for the rest of your life and things just never get any better.
