Ok, with no offence to the elder members on this site, but have you ever walked behind an elderly couple in the grocery store, they seperate at the frozen ile when one looks at the frozen veggys and the other loos at the icecream with the basket in the midle ile, one of them without looking at you says "harld move the basket to let the lady through" and no one els but you are around.......but your obviousely not dressed as a woman at that time of day (in my case just got out of college class, went shopping and stuff) or it could be the other way were one says let the man through..........could it be a sixth sence of old age that tells them who someone is or something.....it made me happy but weirded me out cause at the moment i did not present mself(not dressed full time and not on hormones) that way at the time....after that i became confused as to what happaned....i would like to go with the sixth sence idea -nods- anyone experienced that or something?

Well, I knew you were going to ask that, but I decided not to post my response last night to avoid confusion!

It is not really a sixth sense as in EXP or precognition but rather a feeling based on experiences.

Sight and hearing are the first of the senses to fade so the older people begin to compensate without even knowing that they are doing it - something in the way you approached them seemed feminine to them and that is how they addressed you.

We aren't all clairvoyant - take for example her sister Donna Voyant and their brother Dirk Voyant. (Bet you never knew his last name.)

You are so welcome and thanks.

(That takes care of your next question!)

Children will read you correctly too. It's amazing like they see an aura or something. I guess being in the middle of your life separates you from what is really life. Sally said you were probably being female, so they thought you were (correctly so).

Lizzy

Sally - I DATED Clara - she always seemed to know what I was going to say!

Deja her cousin seemed to know ahead of time! Amazing (zings are often found in those convoluted places)

o.O;; well i guess that is possible......i never stoped to look how i act...i usualy act the same all the time...i remember about 6 months ago i went to a campfire with a few people i work with and one of there kids came up to me and said "its hard to tell but why do you act like my sister, are you a Sweetie or a "______"" it later turned out that the kids father was the one who side/blind hit me in the temple region during work nd stuff.

and lizzy i have had alot of deja vu occurances....i remember dreaming of what could happen, and it does happen within a month of that dream....i sometimes experience a pre dejavu when i know it will happen before it happens......its weird when it happens because it seems like time slows down and speeds back up.......its very interesting no joke O.O

i can feel it with kids, that is for sure. Deeedoo's brother, who at the time was less that 1, i could have sworn i was a girl. needless to say, it made me happy. i've had this experience with older kids too, its pretty awesome. as for the elderly, i dont know enough to have experience this. oh well...

It is actually ESP not EXP, & ESP isn't just limited to precognition but it can also be so many different things. Precognition is basically fortelling of the future, then there is telepathy where you can read someones thoughts, then there is telekanisis (sorry if I spelled it wrong :P I'm not the best speller) & there are many more but I think that you get the idea. But I have had simular things happen w/ people that aren't elderly when it comes to elderly people in that kind of a scenario all that it seems to be is more of an annoyance then anything else.

Sorry about the typo - I drove an EXP - I meant ESP and the or was very important before precognition.

What the mind would be capable of doing if we could only access more than 10% of it - unless it turned out like it did for the Krell on the "Forbidden Planet"

Rent the movie, it's old but very good.

Well I work in a nursing home so I deal with the elderly everday. And mabe thats why most of them call me miss or mamm. I love it every time it happens. It makes me feel so good. I dont know if its ESP or not but they got the right idea. I know it feels soooo good doesn't it. I havent really experenced kids so I cant say much about that. But thats my experence.

I also think Sally is right about experience, too. The people at the courthouse are the only people in WEEKS who've talked to me with female pronouns. I left thinking, "They must deal with this alot..."

No problem (I had to go back and be sure that I had really put it in) I am not the best typist and I think a lot faster than I can type.

It is kind of like the way animals can tell when you are afraid.

Old people can smell genders!

Children and the elderly are usually more spiritual than the people who are trying to make their way in this life. I think they can "see" people's true spirits better than others. People with mental disabilities also seem more spiritual and can see people for who they truly are. My disability is very mild, but I was still able to tell that Skyy was female when I first met her. Others are even better at it.

I've had that happen with Downs Syndrome children. They are wonderful to know and relate to. They seem to know you true gender immediately and if they like you you are most likely a worthy person!

Deeedoo,

I read your posts and I have such a hard time even believing that you could have even the mildest mental disability, I believe that in the degree you have any it is in a range that turns it into a true ability.

You are much more insightful, probably because you don't feel that intellectual is expected of you and it makes your feelings so much easier to express.

I tend to think carefully and hope that I am choosing all of the perfect words and you are telling us how you truly feel - you are gifted my young friend.

Spirituality is a high price to pay for just getting through life, I'm going to try to get back in touch with the true inner me, not the male or female, just the spiritual, real me and then I will see people's true genders as well.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you have a mental disability, you have a gift!

Love ya,

Sally

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is about as bad as Texas but definitely not as bad as Florida. Especially as a minor!

I'm sorry @Ladypcnj I can only sympathize with you on that. Therapist on the other hand is crazy. I have had 16 in 10 years. It sucks having to have to go over things. I will say though after 6 therapists I didn't have to explain my history they simply read the history.

I followed you and will give you my advice when I can. It has happened to me a lot too. If you want to you can always message me and I'll get back to you ASAP. I understand your concerns.

I don't use it.   One of my daughters gave me a little to experiment with, but I haven't.  My youngest tried to put some on me once, but I din't like it.  The light was pretty bad admittedly. My ex didn't use it, and my daughters didn't use it much either when they were still at home.  (If so it was very subtle) And I don't often notice it on women my age (mid 70's)   I shave every day.  But my beard is not heavy, and essentially grey, so it's not real noticeable unless you get close with good light.  I was starting to look into electrolysis, but the pandemic hit, and I just kinda dropped it.   Sometimes I do wonder about it though.

It's something I'm just learning but I find I actually enjoy the 'craft' of it in addition to how it makes me look. Even after a fresh shave, I have a mild 5'clock shadow. For me, the primary use of makeup is to get rid of that. I'll start with the orange concealer over facial hair areas and a bit under my eyes. Liquid foundation over that and light concealer used judiciously over that (still dialing that part in). Then just a tad of powder to bring color back in certain places. There are a number of Youtube tutorials on that layering process.    I'll also pencil in my eyebrows a bit since they're blonde and otherwise not very visible. Sometimes I'll get adventurous and give mascara a try but that's a delicate skill and usually I mess it up. I don't particularly like lipstick, but just ordered a 'lip pencil' to experiment with. Hoping for a more subtle effect.

Sunday is my weekly ablution day - all of the parts that need occasional shaving get their required attention. The weather is rainy and cool today so after the ablutions and shower, I put on blue jeans, a gray t-shirt and a black front-zip hoodie along with gray sneakers.   And, I did put on make-up, not to impress anyone but just to feel as if I'm looking my best....as good as that can be given this woman is now 69 years old.

There are lots of us here willing to offer support, ideas, a shoulder or just a smile. Working with your therapist and finding your true self can be difficult process...but it will also be filled with wonder and joy as you discover that person who's been waiting inside you to be found.   Just know that you are not alone.
