This looks like it could be really good. Hard to tell from a trailer. Top notch actors. I suppose it will garner the usual complaints that the trans girl is played by a non-trans actress. I think my position on that is pretty well established.

Yeah there will be complaints about the T actor who plays Ray, I feel it will be a positive film regardless. I suggest we support it .

I know right, Charlize. It is fairly often these days that I shed a few happy tears. And those are a good thing. As is crying in sympathy for others. It helps to heal the soul.

This is precisely the point I've made in other movie threads. As people not in the industry, I think we should refrain from casting judgement on decisions made by people who have to juggle a whole lot of b.alls to get a movie made. Aside from the finances, it is an artistic and creative decision. There will be times when it is an appropriate argument to make, but they are few and far between. On the flip side, shall trans actors be restricted to playing only trans characters? Not in my book.
