Some of my work

I have tried to post several of my pieces here over the years but have not done a great job of presenting them so they can be seen. While this does break a bit of anonymity it also shows my work better than i have been able to accomplish with a cut and paste methodology.

I am no longer at the gallery they mentioned and some of these pieces have been sold but it gives as pretty good idea of my work just as i was beginning to transition.

I had several folks mention they understood the rainbow colors after my transition.

wonderful pieces- Glass and oil- you are a complicated woman. Log Cabin made me think of a Molla (not sure of the spelling) a central American tribal pattern woman ware.

Love them all Eden

That piece "Log Cabin" and the name of the piece as well in taken from what i consider the first truly american art form......quilting. I especially love the work done in the Lancaster area of PA. The Amish women had a limited but beautiful pallet to work with. Their work was hundreds of years before it's time and would be even more accepted for it's beauty if it were a male art form. I has an exhibition well before transition called Glass Quilts. I loved being surrounded by women who came and told me of their work.

I've been too busy on the farm recently to work on my art. Transition got in the way as well. I just had too much going on in my mind and life to let myself go into the work. Funny i used to fret about loosing my muse. Now it's more a matter of keeping her in check.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Hugs,

Charlize

I did a few of those pieces for a charity show for a wonderful charity called Pedals For Progress which sends used bikes and sewing machines to poor areas around the world where the wheel is rarely seen. I also love them and make some more at some point. It's great fun to use a bike wheel and tire as a stretcher and frame.
