Under dressing

So it's been quite a while since my last post. Since then I've been suppressing the thoughts and feelings about who I am. I've been reading some of the newer posts not too long ago and I noticed one where someone asked "how they could feel more feminine without completely coming out?". A lot of people mentioned under dressing, and I've known about this and have done this only a few times, mostly at home alone (but not often cause I live with my parents who don't know), but a few times outside for short errands. I feel so conflicted because I want to play the hand I was dealt being born a man, but I don't always feel that's who I am. I am very attracted to women and would like to have a wife and kids someday and that's why this feels so wrong as well. There's somedays I'll look at a girl and think damn she's so hot, and then others where I am like I wish I was her. Today the feelings have hit a peak and I couldn't suppress them anymore. The last few nights I've been having dreams of wearing women's clothes in public or being caught by family members (I almost never remember my dreams especially on consecutive nights like they have been happening), and the only way to stop them is to dress in women's clothes. Right now I'm in my room and going crazy over what going on in my mind. Last year when the feelings got this bad I bought a lot of panties on line because I could hide wearing them, but I guess I'm scared to go out wearing them cause someone will see. I bought a pack of hipster panties that are nice and I feel comfortable in, but I'm worried someone will notice and force me to admit that I'm wearing panties. I guess where I'm going with this is: is it noticeable when a guy wears (a few are girly colors some pinks, purples, laces and bows) panties? Is it worth the risk to explore my feelings longer than a few hours?

I've been under-dressing at work since September of 2015. No one has noticed. You can also get your toe nails painted and not worry about it too much. Summer might be an issue though.

I'm mostly worried because I have to lift a lot at work, so there's a lot of bending to lift and reaching up to high shelves and my shirt comes untucked.

if you wear a bikini type panty all anybody could see is skin even with low slung jeans.

I remember being afraid of underdressing simply because i thought about how terrible it would be to get into a car accident. I could see myself being found out at some hospital.

It has been years since then. Time and little steps have finally allowed that feeling that i was somehow "wrong" to be pushed away. That only happened with small steps. Bit by bit the fear left me.

Charlize

I was in a head on collision in 1996, my toes were painted and I was wearing ladies undergarments. In the ER I woke up hearing my wife trying to explain me to the nurse. I survived both and went on to bigger transitioning challenges and more hospital's. Smile's... Sarah

OMG my worst fear come true! Thanks for sharing Sarah. That somehow puts a smile on my face.

Notsure, Just a suggestion....please look over what you are saying. Do you see, that you seem to have a fantasy of being caught, aroused by wearing female clothing? which is all ok, but I wonder if you have spent much time really digging into the reasons why some of us still claim to be TS and not CD It also seems you are entering the "binge and purge" point in your transgenderism. I know it well! wasted so much MONEY on clothing only to toss it and go back to finding a "cure"

One of the reasons back in the day for "testing" was to determine if we are turned on by clothing and the escape fantasy or if we really do want to be and live as female.

Wherever we are in the gender spectrum, we should find a way to be happy safe and sane.

Good Karma to you!

It is totally possible to underdress at work. I occasionally do and don't seem to have a problem. If I'm wearing slacks I'll wear a thong and I have to wear a smock over my tucked in shirt so there's always something covering it. The only nerve wracking thing is when I'm using the restroom and have a feeling someone is looking at my bright pink underwear in the stall. I'm sure that's just my anxiety though. Honestly I feel so much more comfortable in panties than boxer shorts. If you do a lot of bending at work you can also just choose white panties like the other ladies suggested. You could even just wear a feminine tank or Cami under your work shirt. I also do that and it just looks like an undershirt of they see it.

I've been under-dressing for a couple years. Although I wear woman's jeans and shirts (shirt passes as unisex), I always wear my sport bras, un-padded along with a nice tank/cami under my shirt. The only concern I ever had was people seeing the bra straps through my shirt and perhaps some have.. and that's why I wear women tanks over my bra too, to help cover it. I'm about to start HRT and begin coming out and going full-time, so I'm not worried really.

If I remember correctly, I started under-dressing back in 1991 or 1992 when I was a Special Police Officer for the Department of Energy. It helped me during some stressful times. Sure, I was afraid of it being discovered, but then again the most likely cause for me to need a hospital visit would be if I was shot on duty, and I guess I was more worried about the possibility of gunshot wounds than medical folk seeing my panties. Of course under-dressing did eventually lead to other things, I don't own any male clothing anymore since I live as a woman 24/7 now, lol.. :)

hugs,

Stephanie

Same here.  My mind is a jumbled mess.  I'm no great philosopher, nor particularly educated.  Don't open my brain's closet, as all the junk might come tumbling out.

Its been a long day.  I had a good trip with my husband, kind of sorry I had to come home.  I mean, I love my partners, but I feel overwhelmed by the chaos at times.  It was nice being able to just drive and talk for two days, and not feel rushed at meals.  Stopped at a buffet off I-40 in Oklahoma, and I was able to nibble comfortably for two hours!  And taking a shower in a place where I don't have to bother hanging up the towels for later   Its all about the little things....

Hi @AmandaJoy Welcome, and nice to meet you! Congratulations on your Self-Affirmation!  As you've already discovered you're in great company here on this Forum.  It took me 60+ years also.   I understand your thrill and desire to proceed full-steam-ahead but that you've already realized to meter your Journey.  So, I will just end with what I tell most new Members when they arrive ... Deep breaths ... One step at a time

Hey @KayC I need another tutorial session on this place with you.  Maybe we can talk on Discord or the phone and I can share my screen and do a few messages while Asking you some questions about how this place is organized. How are you doing in the real world?? ... "real world" ???  What is this "real world" of which you speak?

@VickySGV Ha!  Finally figured THAT out!  Though I hate to confess just how long it took me to figure out WHERE to begin typing that "@" sign.  (So I just won't confess it!  ... giggles) I am not sure how private this message to you is ... for example I was going to make a guess about your location (you say near a major earthquake fault) and while there are many places in CA which fit that description, I live near one as well. But I am not sure if being asked that in a public forum is something you want, and I don't know if I am talking publicly or privately right now.  (So, obviously, till I learn what is what, I treat EVERYTHING as public). I think Kay might have already told me about the "@" sign but I forgot ... Guess I have blonde roots ... (I'm actually a Brunette ... Grey but the box keeps me a brunette ... still the number of mistakes I make and how slow I am with learning things constantly reminds me that I must be blonde on the inside!!  ... giggles)

@KymmieL do they have you on anti depressants?  Are they certain they are the right ones for you?  Has a psychiatrist been involved?  My physician first put me on an anti depressant and when things got worse for me he added one that was the initial cause of my cancer.  My therapist recommended I had a different need changed things. My psychiatrist agreed with the particular underlying condition and the choice of medications.   everyone is different but if one medication isn’t working there are many different types and different underlying conditions that require different treatments.  No meds mentioned because what didn’t work and what did all depends on your case, not mine.   Willow

To me loving myself means having the courage to live the way I want and to be me.     I hardly ever really like how I look but I feel good knowing I am trying to be the best version of myself that I can be. It is definitely a struggle sometimes though.  💗Cynthia

I had a five hour road trip today.  I’m trying to grow my hair out so I just pushed it back with a pink hair band, lipstick and gloss, no makeup.    White spaghetti strap top, short black skirt, white sandals with pink toenails!  A couple of rings and bracelets, necklace and hoop earrings.   I felt like a hot mess but it’s my favorite way to travel!

Glad you had a good day, @Willow Mine on the other hand sucked. I have been screwing up again, I even got written up. I may have to educate them on major depression and disability. not that it will work.    OH, well. May be another job I lost because of me. Yes, my depression is about down at the magma level   Kym

This bag is really working out for me.  I had worn out the back on my yin-yang bag so I picked this one up.  It wasn't long before I cut off the flap on it and braided a hemp strap for it.  The zipper is the best feature.  I can spin the bag around and I'm not afraid of losing anything.  I've taught myself to keep all the essential things in it and nothing more.  Here is what made the cut:   Notepad Sharpie Ballpoint Pen Teaspoon Glasses Phone (most of the time) Wired Headphones and/or Bluetooth Carmex and/or Lipstick Flash Drive Current Braiding Project Wallet Hair Clip   And on my keys I have my one inch Swiss Army Knife with scissors and a bottle opener that I like using with mason jar lids.   I don't miss pockets at all now.  The bag is fun and practical.  I can set it on the ground to get everything off my body.  If I need something, I'm looking for a fairly large object.  I always have something to work on with the braiding project.
