Should I get SRS in Melbourne or Seoul, South Korea?

I was wondering where I should get srs, not on cost terms but rather quality. Are Korean surgeons better than Australian ones? I haven't heard much about Australian surgeons for SRS, and perhaps they might not be as experienced.

I guess because it is such a major surgery that will affect me for the rest of my life, I want it to go right.

If cost is not a consideration then come to America and the city by the bay (SF), get one of the best set of hands and mind on the planet, as she is at the top of her profession these days, you would have to wait something like 18 months plus.

I actually do not know of or about surgeons in Seoul S. Korea, nor of any people I know who have gone there for GCS. S. Korea is where one of the principal voice feminizing surgeons is, and I do have friends who are VERY happy with what happened to them for that surgery type.

Your Melbourne surgeons do have some happy customers that I have heard of, but at last I heard there is only one there now. Thailand has several excellent surgeons, and I am wondering if you are confused a bit on the Thailand vs S. Korea thing.

You need to "go personal" and meet the surgeons and staff via Internet and telephone. Caution, every post op person will tell you their surgeon is the best one if they are happy at all. I met several of the surgeons here in the U.S. at Transgender Conventions where they gave infomercials, and spoke one on one with us. I had three on my "short list" at one point, and then an in-person talk with Dr. Bowers who had a "yes we can" attitude clinched my decision for going to her. I have no regrets, and my Gynecologist today lets me know that I am a good piece of work.
