came out to my dr

I just came out to my dr  i have already came out to my friends and family apart from my mother who am going to tell her the next time i see her

my dr told i must live as a male for a year before  she can refer me to the gender therapist  but most of them are in Glasgow  its the next big city  to Edinburgh   i dont know Glasgow  that well

but i crossing that bridge when it comes   she said they want me to be stable in  my mental health  and not cut or Od  or put myself in danger of any type

i am focused on this   the  only thing i am worried about is when i come out to my mother it could make me a little unstable if she has  a  go or saying anything negative

but i know my mother will not understand and most like say its a phase or some other  rubbish  she isn't going to stop me from my goal

everyone else i have told  are supportive

Alexx, it sounds like you're on the right path. Your mother appears to be the domineering type who would object to anything you might do. If you have to cut her out of your life, so be it. The doctor is right in that you have to be mentally stable before anything can be done. For now, you need to focus on that. Get the medications that you need to accomplish your mental stability. Take it one step at a time and you'll succeed in your goals. Please keep us updated with your progress. We're here for you and we care.

I'm glad you were able to be open and honest with your doctor.  that is a great step Alexx!  Don't worry about your mother. You will be ok and she will come around in time.  Instead please care for yourself and listen to your doctor.  She supports you in your goal and getting stable and dealing with mental health is the most important thing in your life.

Hugs,

Charlize

Good news Alex.  As Charlize says focus on you, not your mother. You are important and valued so look after your life. Your mother has her own life to live.   As to a referral to a Gender Therapist, today can start your first year of Real Life Experience!

Hi Alexx,

It's surprising how much difference hair can make in how we feel. And it sounds like you're having a pretty good day today. That makes me happy! Enjoy getting out to your group. I'll be thinking about you.

Lots of love,

It sounds like your prepared for a beautiful day.  Enjoy it.  You certainly deserve that and short hair makes it easier.

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.
