Vagina prosthetics - very little reviews?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

I'm trying to dig into the topic of prosthetics that create a more natural view and, hopefully, feeling as well. The problem is that either I'm searching for the wrong keywords, or there are just almost no reviews about any one of the prosthetics I found so far.

As of now, I found the Vee-Strings by castlesupplys, the B-Lady by transsensation, "Femini" line by feminization.us, the prosthetics by ecprosthetics and the Pro-V by Choice Tools, although the latter seems to be a scam.

Does anybody own any of these, or another wearable vagina prosthetic, and is willing to share their impressions?

Hello Layla, I don't have first hand info on these products nor did I look at them but I recall a couple years ago reading a review that alluded the product was uncomfortable and not really effective.  When you think about them, what they're trying to duplicate is difficult to achieve.

Welcome to the forum.

I actually bought one of the Castle Supply artificial vaginas quite a few years ago and will plead with you NOT to make the mistake I did by buying it.  I am actually blushing as I type this.  It did not feel real at any time I had it on, and now that I am post GCS, can tell you that it did not come close to anything that really happens.  A friend bought one and she tried to fit it to herself by doing some cutting to get it flat against her tucked penis, and put her panties on and it looked like she was trying to poke through and it looked like a hard penis, not a rubber prosthetic.  I did not try to trim mine to fit, but did get a rash from the rubber they used.  I put it aside for a few months and found out the rubber had decomposed and it tore in several places.

@Jani: hello :) that's my fear exactly, especially when looking at most of these prosthetics - they already LOOK like they're uncomfortable. On the other hand, there are a couple reviews or comments (I'm thinking especially about a video about the B-Lady - am I allowed to post YouTube-links in this forum?) that are very positive about these products.

@VickySGV: thank you very much for that first hand experiences. I'm really appalled by your prosthetic to decompose, especially in that short amount of time. That sounds yucky and like you absolutely don't want to buy anything from them. On the other hand, they're still on the market, and it's been quite a while, as you're post-op since 2013 - so they must have changed something, I guess.

Also, "not feeling real" is relative - I guess in comparison to wearing a gaff (that you need to undress when you need to go to the toilet, for example) it'd be a lot closer to "the real thing" (which I will never experience in all probability, as I like being a guy at least some of the time).

That last sentence brings me to another matter I'm trying to find out about: are there any good tutorials about taping and/or gluing? I did find at least some, but most of them are on pages where you're not allowed to speak about the private parts directly, so it's some haggle like "now fold the, uh, part, you know what I mean, over the other part, and then take 'it' and fold it, like, there" - and I don't get which part is 'this' and which one 'that'.  Also, most of it references to some japanese site which is somewhat strange to read when google auto-translated. At some part, they were talking about 'the rainbow', which was when I totally lost them :D you think that might be worth opening another topic?

I am sad to say that I am consoling a younger friend who bought one about a month ago and it is still the same latex rubber from the long ago days.  They are still in business because our tribe does have to exist in a degree of wishfulness and fantasy, and for those who fulfill that I am happy.

Tucking can get pretty round about with people trying get around embarrassment and anatomy barriers.  I did achieve a good result by using a pair of shaping and support panties with a lot of spandex in them.  Push your testicles up into your inguinal canals on each side to start the process. The canals are at the top of your scrotum and are where they came from before birth.  You need a little care because you can pinch the spermatic cords which hurts, but is fine when the pinch is released.  Simply wad up the empty scrotal sac and push it up to keep them in place, and pull your penis back toward your tail bone and it will stay there long enough to pull up the panties and you are done with about the best and simplest way I ever found.  You are going to have some trouble for the first few times because it will arouse you and you will start to become erect.  Slow down, breathe and it will relax shortly and in the future it will not happen as this becomes a normal thing to do.  All too many other ways have you fighting the system which makes it even worse.  I never had to use tape, but tried it once or twice, and found it unnecessary in the long run and painful because of the pubic hair.

Another side of the tucking issue is to pick clothing where you are not going to become embarrassed if you do show something a bit.  Even post op, I look like I still have original equipment in tights or some leggings.  I am so much more comfortable in a loose skirt or a pair of looser slacks anyway.  Comfort and the ability to be ourselves in public is after all our main goal.

Hey Vicky... Is there a market for this? I am currently involved in the beginning processes of a silicon products manufacturing startup. Any info about this might be helpful for the product marketing strategy...

I've been tucking for a couple of years now, so I'm quite good at that nowadays. I prefer self-made gaffs made from pantyhoses though, but that's just another phenotype of the same concept. I started to do some sewing lately, so I might refine that somewhat more in the future.

What I'm intrigued by would be not to need to re-tuck every time I need to pee, for example. With extensive practicing, getting rid of all the excess stuff is fairly easy nowadays, but still annoying and it pretty much cuts every immersion for me. That's why I'd like to try out taping and, even more, gluing, but as that is some rather delicate issue, I'd like to have some reliable description about what to do and how to do it.

If you're able to design a well-fitting and skin-friendly product, I'd be happy to be your first costumer. I'd volunteer as a beta-tester as well, but considering living not just in different countries but on different continents, I think you'll find someone more fitting for that position ;)

I will definitely bring this up in the 1st phase product meetings, I am the mold design and manufacturing implementation lead, not to mention the 1st tier e-commerce setup, SEO optimization developer... It would be a long way from here to product, but since I am the only transgender person involved in the startup I believe I will be taken seriously on the topic.:P I am a poor beta tester for this though... My little guys are already hiding way up there and don't come down at all, little peanuts anyways, and after my orchi not much will change down there since they are never in the way to begin with...

Jae

Jae I cannot image there is a huge market, and what's out there probably doesn't sell much.  Consider that when you tuck the idea is to minimize the area, adding something there seems counter productive.  Then there are the comfort concerns with materials and sweat.  You're not going to mass market this!  What would an advertisement look like and where would you place it?  There are better products to develop to earn a strong ROI.

The biggest problem for this type of thing is the actual number of sizes and shapes you would need to design, and the limited market that there really is for it.  Certainly, ordinary Trans dreamers think about this sort of thing that will magically make them whole and perfect without surgery but even surgery and its results vary from person to person..  I do have a friend who does theatrical prosthetics made for one actor/person only, and her price is pretty high considering the work and time it takes, but the point is that they differ greatly from user to user and that is the problem with any of that stuff.  I am not saying to give up on the idea, but you know the old saying about building a better mouse trap.  You will end up with even better mice coming around to make your life miserable.

HA!  Better mice indeed!  We have a couple people working on the issue and I agree size and fit will vary greatly, and with the universal product it will be nearly impossible to make a one-size-fits-all with the materials list and manufacturing methods we’re currently looking at. The majority of our products are going to be silicone and lacking much in the way of fabrics, and from what I am seeing it really needs to be a combination, plus the fact that adding anything to the area does not help minimize the profile, so it does seem a bit counterproductive, then again I’ve never given it a ton of thought as my level of dysphoria is rather ambiguous Down in that region, just looking forward to the orchi at the moment... But to be completely honest I was telling my therapist today that the thought is always nagging in the back of my mind, that I really might prefer full bottom surgery, so it’s not that I don’t get it, it’s just that I don’t think I fully understand myself yet.

Hugs,

Jae

Hi Vicky,

I was talking to my wife about this last night, I think the thought of this very serious surgery scares me, and since I am a lesbian, what would I do with it? (actually I know precisely what I would do with it) But at the end of the day I know I would opt in if it were the magic 'wake up as a girl' scenario... I hate seeing what's down there now, but not nearly as much as the rest of my body and my face (still don't know what to do about my voice), I am planning an orchi soon and eventual top surgery, maybe FFS if I can't get my face right, but the bottom SRS idea still seems unanswered... Talking about this with my wife last night really upset her, I thought we were just talking, but I keep forgetting that this is still very new for her and that she is struggling to cope with the idea of it all. I felt horribly guilty about upsetting her (still do) but I think we need to keep talking, at least once in a while, it stresses me out to think I am hurting her with what I need, but I don't know what to do make her feel better...:?

Hugs,

Jae

Hello Layla:

I can say that I used to own the virginal prosthetic from  ecprosthetics and I would admit that they do help with making yourself look natural.  They are not designed for long duration wear.  You do need to use a lot of powder since it is made of Laytex.  Since it is made of laytex, you will sweat in it making it uncomfortable.  So that's why 2 to 3 hours max and need to take off to breath.

I then bought the full body femskin since the virginal prosthetic broke on me when I was trying to take it off.  Since it is made of laytex and you will sweat which is why you need powder and no matter how carful you are.  It will break.  The Femskin is the same way with needing a lot of powder and can only wear for 2 to 3 hours since it is a heavy laytex and your body will naturally sweat.  Then there is the care for it to wash it, store it.  The big thing is no matter how carful you are, that it will break.  So I would suggest to either stay with tucking or if you wish to get one of the devices, to do so with care.

Lots of love

Amy

Hello Amy,

thank you very much for these insights! That's rather disappointing, as I would intend longer wear, especially as the ProV producers "recommend wearing 3 days at a time". I thought that to be somewhat unrealistic, but your estimate of just a couple hours is... wow. I guess I will keep tucking, then =/ at least until Jae launches her series ;)

Hello Layla:

Don't get me wrong.  I do not want to put them down and they are very nice products.  But when they say you can wear for days.  That is not really right especially since they are made of realistic latex.  With the latex, it is only normal that we do sweat and makes it uncomfortable.  But I can say when I had them, that I loved wearing them.  Just could not for long periods.

But hope that helps.

Amy

While I agree with a lot of the campaign personally, I don't think a government-mandated reduction in childbirth is really necessary. As a young person, I hardly know anyone who wants to be a parent in the future. I think a lot of people will either be waiting a while or not having kids at all, meaning that the number of kids being born will probably decrease. Overcrowding's also mostly an urban issue -- plenty of places in rural America have plenty of space for both people and growing food.    Of course, everyone sees things differently, so I won't necessarily say you're wrong. I just think my generation is a lot less inclined to the family mindset than some that came before us.

To me, it sounds like a solution searching for a problem.  I believe in the Russian perspective, that oil is abiotic and likely under every part of the Earth's surface.  There's plenty.  "Peak oil" and "climate" are excuses for government control.   As for roads, we use asphalt because tar and bitumen are a byproduct of fuel production, not the other way around.  Asphalt is not a great material, really.  It can also be recycled somewhat and used again.  Notice how road crews grind down existing asphalt into powder? Concrete is a better material for roads.  But in areas like where I live, very little of our roads are paved.  Gravel is a luxury, and a lot of roads are mud.  Same in many "developing" nations.  Pavement is better for transport, but its not like we would die without it.  Lack of pavement might actually be a good thing, as people might stay home more and food might be grown locally instead of relying on transportation.  It would stop this wacky idea of growing everything in California.     I believe the big crisis we face is globalism and government control.  Proposing some scheme to control our families? That's just more of the same.  Even if folks managed to get enough votes (or rig enough elections) to get the power to do that, it won't be as VP or president of the USA in its current 50-state form.

The months of June has already been planned out for me with only minimal time for sleep between the Trans Chorus Of Los Angeles and the various communities around me that are in the service area of the LGBTQ  Center I was on the Board of Directors of that are having Pride Events, both LGBTQ Pride and Trans Pride stand alone events.

Very cool. I've been clumsily navigating the world of makeup so this may help. Some of the tutorials on YouTube are so advanced, they may as well be speaking Klingon :P

I've realized that our laptops are using much less plastic than they used to.  They are smaller devices that use less raw materials and are easier to ship and hold up better in shipping than bigger computers with removable parts.  They seem to have gotten rid of the overheating/fan problem for the most part, but there is a performance hit for that.  I use a 10yo desktop computer with a moderate level gaming video card to run 3 monitors.  I'm a producer though and most consumers have no need for that.   I really haven't watched TV since the 80's.  I spend some time researching on the internet and then I spend a lot of time meditating on the objects in my environment and on the streets.  From living on the streets for a year, I've learned that people can say anything and can control you, but the laws of physics and mathematics are outside of that and really even transcend time itself.  After people would not support my music, I built my life as a software engineer based on mathematics and engineering.  I've had a moderately successful career with that and have written code for many different industries.   The problem with stopping oil usage is that if we still need the bitumen to pave our roads and shingle our houses, then what do we do with the gas when we refine it?  There are natural deposits of bitumen, but you know, with so many people out there, demand is huge and we are using this stuff up.  If you grow corn for corn syrup, then what do you do with the cobs?  We've shipped coffee and bananas all over the world.  We took material from those environments.  What do we do now?  How long can it last?

I think that threats that can be proven should be incarcerated for half the sentence of the one they would commit if carried out.  Lies unfortunately are just words unless as you stated if not under oath.
    • Ivy
I think it depends on where and how it's happening. We also need safe places where, the perhaps more easily intimidated, can feel free to express themselves.     And what about threats of violence?  Can this lead to a place where only the violent can have this freedom?  Is it "free speech" to threaten and intimidate opposing views into silence?  I mean maybe, if I can say anything - "if you don't shut up I'll kill you."   Or spreading lies?  (perhaps about an election). Lying is okay, unless you're under oath - for what that's worth.   Censoring books in schools?  That was fine until the bible was included.  (there is some nasty stuff in there) Then, there's what used to be that free speech birdie place.  You can denigrate queer people all you want, but "cis" is a slur, and prohibited?  Free speech as long as I like it? And let's not go into court cases and gag orders. Porn?

I have noticed when anyone speaks against their though process they don't like it no matter what sided. Republicans are quick to defend Trump when he's not professional and treats his employees like crap. One employee didn't get paid at all and then he had the nerve to say that he would sue the worker. He already has a model as his wife and still goes after other women. Biden gets lost quicker than a 2nd Lieutenant gets lost at land navigation. Not to mention his open border policy which is flooding the country and can't even take care of the American citizens that we have now. I could go on about both sides. I personally don't get mad at anything someone says to me. I know it's not true so I'm over it before it even starts. You have to have thick skin.

For some people, diversity of thought is okay as long as you agree with them.  I have noticed this on both sides.  Yesterday I got cussed out on FB for advocating the rule of law, which I thought an innocuous thing to advocate, because the danger a certain alleged totalitarian poses to our country.  So we should throw out the law to protect the law in the view of this person.  For that I was greeted with a long stream of obscenity.  The cussing poster claims to be Republican, which is supposed to be all MAGA and right wing and all and law and order.  Strange.   I don't think I have been cussed out by someone on the left.  I have been insulted in knowledge and intelligence and worship of Trump (which is false) but not directly cussed out.  And they get bent out of shape badly if you disagree with them, typically. Come to think of it, I have been.  Disagreeing with someone apparently is the worst thing you can do to them, invalidating their identity or something.   There is REAL diversity on this forum, and for the most part we get along.  Even if I were not dealing with trans stuff, it would be attractive that way.

I put out an ad on Indeed for a campaign manager in January.  I got 435 responses and had meetings with 2 of them every day for a month.  No one was willing to donate enough time to my campaign to jump start donations so that I could pay them a salary.  Reposting is an excellent idea.  I don't have the time for it.  I'd love it if people would just make creative clones of my website like in the old css zen garden days 20 years ago.  I have $26.50 in my bank account today and need to sell my fancy, almost mint condition, Specialized M2 bicycle for less than $200 to buy food.   Stepping into this executive level role like I have is very intense work and I've been sleeping 4 hours a night for the last two months to stay in character.  In other words, I could use some help.  I've had 3 Gen Z transwoman musicians living with me this year and all 5 of us that have lived in my house this year have significant time living in cars and the streets.  My first wife is a symphony conductor, arranger, bass trombonist and carpenter who used to do concrete work on the freeway.  I have a picture of her on a private plane with Yo-Yo Ma from almost a quarter century ago.  I'm not just some crazy street person with $26.50 in my bank account.  I've played music for Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and I played a gig with Ray Charles in 1995.  And that is just the beginning of my story.  It's not easy to change the reproductive habits of 8 billion people.
