         Today I went to the post and checked for the letter I have been waiting for not really expecting anything but there it was I ran out of the post office squealing and then into the house all excited it was my new birth certificate I am now legally Roberta Susan and female Squeeeeeeeeeeeee

I don't even know how to START doing; I just realized it was not impossible to transition at the ripe old age of 59 last year and my insurance doesn't start for a few months.  I have NO clue how to get started with a therapist, HRT, name, etc.

Hello StrainAsylum.  Not to derail this thread but your question/statement was an important one to address.  

There is a link at the main page that can assist you in finding a Therapist and later an Endocrinologist.

Calling for an appointment can be stressful but it is totally worth it.  Regardless of the outcome you will hopefully find that an unbiased ear and voice to assist you is priceless.  Many states are following an "informed consent" model for prescribing of hormones so a therapist letter will not necessarily be required.

     Thank you  ladies for the kind remarks it is a wonderful long awaited feeling I still get excited talking about it. StrainAsylum a couple of years ago I had no idea of what to do and where to go but with help from the fine people here I have found my way I am sure you can as well
