You should definitely inform your spouse of what is going on.  As painful as it may seem it is the proper thing to do.  The longer you wait the worse it will be because she will rightly say you've been hiding or lying.   Your marriage is a partnership.

Yes I know what your saying

but I’m sure it’s over as inside I’m gay and she’s a woman

so I guess I’m running the risk of losing her and that’s why I’m not telling her

I shaved  my chest recently too but after I read it’s better to wax or have lazer

First I had to go through hormone therapy and intense therapy before the therapist and two doctors signed off that I was emotionally ready for the surgery. It wasn't just saying I'm going to get this done and going to a surgeon and setting it up. As for the procedure what the surgeon does is removes the testicles and most of the penis. The urethra is cut much shorter. The skin is used to produce a fully functional vagina. Part of the penis is use to make a neoclitoris for sensation. After that and all the swelling goes down and soreness from the surgery you have a fully functional vagina which is very sensitive.

I haven’t had sex with her in 5 years eithier

I know she’s having sex

You stated you are interested in men and you say your wife is having sex. Do you think it would be best for the both of you to go your separate ways?

I guess I am fully not understand the situation. I understand she is your wife and there must be some attachment to her even if it is not romantically. I just don't think it is fair to the both of you to keep going this way. I agree with you that sooner or later she is going to leave.

Like I said that was the last step for me and it took the most time to fully get through with all the therapy and what not. I had never engaged in sex as a male because even though I was attracted to males I did not identify as gay and could not be in a romantic homosexual relationship. Now when I am with a man in a sexual relationship it feels so right and wonderful. Whenever I am starting a relationship with a man the first thing I tell them is I was born a male and I am fully transitioned. You'd be surprised that I have never had a guy look at me as some freak.

I understand the kids part to some extent, but you also have to look out for your own well being.

Also I didn't answer your shaving question. Do not shave your chest. When you shave any area of your body it will only come back thicker. Waxing is a cheaper but more painful method and the hair will still come back after a longer period of time. Laser Treatment is expensive and it isn't just one treatment that will get rid of the hair for good. I was lucky as I was always blonde and had fine hair and hardly any body hair at all other than my underarms and slightly on my legs.

i do plan on getting a full body waxing soon too and I need a new bra as their growing fast lol

Go to a Salon Spa that offers Champagne or Wine and drink up. You will need it especially for those sensitive areas. :)

If you have Victoria Secret's in your area I would recommend going there for the bras.

Like anyone reaching orgasm it is different in what makes it happen. After reassignment surgery the clitoris and labia are made with the tissue that is most sensitive for the most part. So right there it is a positive feeling. Self pleasure at first took some time just finding the right spots that made me feel really good. Think a preteen girl and the first time masturbating. Many times I would have to stop because I have to pee. After awhile that got better. Sex was also the same. It was just having the guy find the right spot. There has been times I have had OK sex and others I have had wonderful sex. In the end it is sex and that is a good thing. The whole process of being held by a man and kissed and touched all over makes it the best.

I am also 40 and I knew from an early age that I was a female in a male bodies. I also think during your transitioning process it is very important to stay as healthy as possible. So continue with that running and eating healthy as you go along. Trust me, you will become more and more comfortable with who you are and soon you will be going out in dresses and skirts and thinking nothing of it. Be proud of who you are. You also said something really important do not rush it. The reassignment surgery they won't practically allow you to rush it with the therapists and all the doctors appointments you have to go to before the actual surgery so you won't be rushing once that comes.

Ade to answer your question I suppose that all depends on the person. As for me what happened first was I lost weight in the shoulders, back, and especially the hips in the first 4 months. When I say lost weight I mean a considerable amount. In the first 3 months of HRT I started noticing some changes but nothing extremely drastic. Around 6-8 months of HRT treatments my breasts were a pretty nice size and the nipples seemed to stay erect quite often which was awkward. Around 1 year was when I think they were fully developed. I then did go and get them enhanced because I am rather tall and it makes them look more proportional. My hips have changed also because of the HRT and the weight loss so that is not something unusual. Have you ever noticed those Transgender MTF models with waists and hips smaller than most birth females?

Hey, no problem at all. I have been down that road many times before. That is one of the main reasons I joined here is to possibly help and cheer up other members who just might be going through a rough day.

Definitely take care of your family first while you are transitioning. They will always be a part of your life especially your kids.

You will love your life as a woman.

My therapist is trying a new tact. I've named my self protection self that ssays not eating or too much exercise because when I starting because oftrauma my protective self started and also at the time the name Shay came to me and is now part of my name.  It's not like having a split personality, just my primative self protection who is always there to help me. My therapist has Shay, me and him working as a team to assure her that I am safe and to start changing her role in my life so I protect me by eating right and exercising to maintain a heathy body. It is helping a little but we just started this a few weeks ago.

Good morning, everyone!!   Yesterday was lawn mower battery day. I've been nursing the battery on my Zero Turn mower for two weeks. It gave up the ghost when I stopped to refuel yesterday so I had to run over to the local shop to get a new one. And forgot my wallet so I had to drive home and back again.   Then, I was using the garden tractor with the bagger to pick up the clippings. I cut about 7 acres so it took me awhile. When I was done, I went to refuel it and, of course, it wouldn't start when I'd finished putting in the gas. I'm hoping it was just some corrosion on the cables - cleaned them up, gave it a quick charge and it started right up. We'll see if it will hold a charge now or turn out like the Zero Turn.   House cleaning day today. And then I'm going to just relax outside for a bit and enjoy one more warm day before our temps drop and rain comes in for the weekend.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!

Striking your head against the wall, you can lose 150 calories an hour. Blue color attracts mosquitoes in two times more than any other. Most toilet paper sold for home use in France is pink. In 2014, a missing woman on a vacation in Iceland was found when it was discovered that she was in the search party looking for herself. In 2005, Mark Zuckerberg unsuccessfully tried to sell Facebook for $75 million. Back then it was called TheFacebook. Strawberries can also be white or yellow, and some can even taste like pineapples! The Boston Marathon didn’t allow female runners until 1972. I attend a medical day-centre in Texas for needed medical services. It's religious oriented, so not gender fluid friendly. I of course dress 100% in female attire yet androgynous to keep both "them happy", and I really don't mind.    I of course am imposed rules that no other participant is bound by. The examples are the allowed size of my backpack, or how many visits per day I can see my Representative payee.  The gender neutral restroom use was a compromise that all off us have agreed to.  Not being able to wear tanks tops or shorts that aren't "Bermuda length" are other examples of where I am restricted more than any other participant. "Bra talk" is strictly forbidden, even though their doctor and occupational therapist were the ones that told me I needed support due to neck pain.    I found myself being reprimanded by staff three times yesterday for very petty details, and they have constantly pushed for me to remove myself from the program voluntarily. I am of course someone not welcomed in the program, but federal discrimination laws prevent them from removing me. They instead are just making life miserable with the hopes that I will leave on my own.

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.
