came out to extended family

i came out to my extended family as ftm on facebook 

coming out was purely on impulse, i had been pushing away the questions from my parents about "how long are you gonna pretend youre a girl in front of them"

i dont see my family too often, especially with work taking up my weekends every weekend

and it went really well!! 

i dont have my entire family on facebook so hopefully the news was passed around haha

i wasnt too sure what to expect from my fathers siblings as they were raised by homophobic catholic parents (however my dad is extremely open and a great ally) , but it went well!! everyone was very supportive and i was actually kind of surprised! 

i was nervously checking my page (something i never do) every 5 seconds looking for acknowledgment of it

im glad i dont have to be someone im not anymore. im also glad that, due to my age, no one was condescending towards me.

Congrats b.! I'm glad to hear it went well and that you don't have to hide anything from your family any longer. That must be a great relief!

Congratulations.

 Things changed in regards to my family for me but regardless in time i'm finding acceptance and the simple act of being honest was a huge change and relief.
