i agree, with the others saying that confidence is the key, if your acting nervous or scared, people pick up on that, if your walking along and someone is coming the other way, and you stop turn around and walk back the way you have come quickly to get away, just looks odd, and raises peoples suspicions that something isn't right and they will look at you more to try and see whats wrong, if you do not give anyone a reason to stare at you, from my experience they wont, i know its hard to do but sometimes girls like us need balls to brazen it out

i like lol tbh kalli anne its true not all women are the same if it was it would be a very boring place conformity is in the head everyone acts different and dresses different why be type cast we are not drag queens we are a new person slowly getting rid of their old lives and restarting anew so embrace your new self and find your own niche

I am always available to sisters and I am happy to offer advice if I am able to. I was brought up as a girl from the age of 11 to 16 so I feel that I have an insight that some do not. I am more than happy to give you my email address if you would like to talk about things that are bothering you   ???Kali-Ann xx

Until 7th grade I thought I was a girl. I had 2 male friends starting in 4th grade. I was only boy my age out of a dozen or so girls. I think this is why my transition has been mostly smooth easy.

Femininity comes naturally. Being 64 years old makes it a little easier. Plus I have no remaining family to say no...

Sometimes I feel bad because idont experience some of the dysphoria others experience. I am an old hippie from the 60's and proud of it. Andro was the way...

Let me first say that I don't really disagree with anything that has been posted on this thread.  My personal opinion on the subject though is slightly different.  When people (both men and women) talk about passing I believe that means being seen as the gender that they identify with.  When I am out and can freely go into the ladies washroom without strange or even hostile looks, or worse comment,s then that may be that I am either sharing the bathroom with sensitive kind women or they do not see that underneath my birth sex was not female.  In other words I'm passing as a woman and hence it is totally expected that I would use the ladies room and not the men's.  When I can go about my day in peace without stares, comments or fingers pointing I feel that is passing.  Its not about whether we are physically attractive its simply about being able to live our lives in a manner where we do not arouse unwanted attention in public places .

This is the point.  Being seen and interacted with as we see ourselves.

"Passing" doesn't make anyone more female than the next. I see many cis gender women who look as masculine as any trans woman. Popular culture has defined feminine and masculine in ways that aren't realistic biologically, so cis women spend a fortune trying to be pretty, and so do many trans women. That's okay, if that's your thing. I'm not judging. Wouldn't it be great if we lived in a world where gender and beauty had no cultural bias?

I don't scare cats, rats or small children.  Is that good enough?

I love my cats, they are my #1 emotional support people. (Which is pretty funny considering how self centered they can be.)  Still, not scaring cats is good enough!
