My first time out in girl mode !!!!

I went out last night to group in girl mode and only just realized it’s the first time I’ve ever been out in female form, it was just so natural and easy I nearly forgot the fact that it was a milestone!  Tonight I got another opportunity after hearing about some fun stuff going on in downtown San Jose, I thought it would be a great time to practice my make up once more and meet up with friends!  Earlier in the afternoon I went and got some groceries and stopped at the little nail salon near the store, the girl there told me it would be a half hour wait and I replied, “perfect I will go put my groceries away and come right back“ and she looked at me a bit puzzled as if maybe I was scheduling something for my wife, and I said when I come back you can help me pick the color I want, and the look of confusion left her face as she smiled...  I came back as I said I would and she help me pick out one of my favorite colors, metallic purple, it was a great experience, I’ve never had my nails done ever, nor have I even tried to paint my own, and for 10 bucks I can’t imagine I would ever do it myself!  My favorite part was looking to my right, every time I would look to my right a row of eight girls would quickly swivel their heads back straight when they noticed I looked at them, ha ha Ha ha ha, I love the attention and I did it a few more times while giggling to myself.  It only took me 15 minutes to do my make up this time, I finally got the eyeliner to work the way I want and I very quickly brushed in the mascara without any trouble, I could’ve rivaled my wife’s ability and speed this time, I was very proud of myself. It seems I’ve been so subtle with my eye makeup that I felt like going a bit More today, but the end result was still very subtle and I liked it nonetheless.

I called my friends that live relatively nearby and told them I was going to go out in girl mode and I would love to see them, so they jumped in their car and we met up there on S. 1st St. in the sofa district. We sat down at a vegan pho restaurant and it was super awesome! The bowls were the size of basketballs,  and I was astounded by the quantity of food, to top it off the quality was beyond anything I’ve experienced in a pho restaurant !  Both of those boys cleaned their plates and I don’t know how the heck they did it ?!  And they politely took my two container filling leftovers home as a snack for later, those are two hungry boys !!!

I can’t tell you how much fun I have with my friends, I think I’ve kind of hit the jackpot when it comes to fantastic people in my life, and they made the evening so light and fun I forgot completely that I was in girl mode and it was the best night out I’ve had in a long long time, basically the last time I had a night that good was with the two of them several weeks before, they are really just that Fun!  They drove me back to  where my mini van was parked, and we waved goodbye, I jumped in my little mommy van and realized I had on make up and my nails were done nice, and it all came back to me, oh crap I’ve been a girl mode the whole night ! I don’t know why but it just feels natural, I felt very much more at ease and wasn’t thinking about everyone else seeing something rather androgynous, Because what’s the difference right? Androgynous boy mode versus androgynous girl mode, people still have their own reactions and at the same time it occurred to me I could care less. I think girl mode is going to be out a whole lot more,  for whatever reason I was thinking I was going to have to wait until after FFS, but now I just feel like going full-time because I don’t care what other people think. What an awesome evening !

I came home and realized my make up was still intact, so I wanted to take a selfie, and I also realized I had a similar selfie in the same corner of the kitchen in boy mode, so I wanted a comparison, it’s so funny my boy mode and girl mode are so similar but I like my girl mode look better,  I just wish I had longer hair-

just give me time...

 Hugs,

 Jackie

@jae bear you're gorgeous! I love how you can take such a small amount to look so pretty.

So I tried my own outing yesterday with the wife and kids. I require a fair amount more makeup as I'm only on 2nd round of electrolysis but I'll post a pic anyways.

The hard part about being out is my kids still don't respond to my feminine voice. I have to pull out the "dad voice" to get their attention which of course draws some undesired attention lol. By the end of our journey I was able to calmly say "don't make me pull out my dad voice" with some success.

I hope more members share their photos. You're all so pretty, keep sparkling!!

 Xoxo

Ha ha !!  You girls are the best !  Honestly I don’t think the results are too bad considering I’m nearly 50, but at the end of the day the most important thing to me is I realize my female future is real and I finally visualized the actual results and operated in the world the way I was meant to for the first time in my life.

Oh my goodness Lexi you have some amazing natural beauty!  If the worst thing about your evening was having to use the old dad voice that’s a great thing !  They’re just going to have to get used to your new mom voice!  Trust me the mom voice works better than the dad voice anyway... With that also comes the mom stare, the mom point  and the mom jeans!  Ha ha ha ha, just for reference the two best mom jeans I have found are the Carhart Blair jeans and easy to find Lee rider jeans.

I’m going to be going out with my friends again next weekend to do a little antiquing, one of my favorite pastimes!  I always have so much fun with my friends it’s ridiculous !!!!

 Hugs,

 Jackie

Isn’t it funny that it’s so difficult to get over that first hurdle of getting out into the world as yourself, but once you do it all you can think about is the next time.?

Once you realize the world won't end or implode, going out is empowering!

The stare is my typical "go-to" and works well when they're looking at me but, when they're running like maniacs on both sides of the bike path I need that resonance from deep in the chest to make them freeze in their tracks.

I'm almost excited for your upcoming weekend. Antiquing is the.... Wait a second... You're 50!? Your skin is so youthful and eyes full of life! Work it girl, pray I look that nice in 15yrs too!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, oh my goodness you’re killing me !  Yes when I finally get done with all three surgeries and bottom surgery is finished I will be 50 years old maybe even 51 depending on the timing, but isn’t that what every girl wants? To be a 50-year-old woman, aren't 50-year-olds the sexiest woman alive? Ha ha ha ha, I certainly wish I was a bit younger but honestly speaking the best part about being a 50-year-old woman is the last word, I will be a woman, and that’s good enough for me. A friend of mine is the same ages as me at the moment, I am 47,  and she has used raw unfiltered natural coconut oil on her face every day for years, and I swear to you she looks exactly the same today as she did when she was 20 years old and I would know because she was my high school girlfriend. I am definitely looking into something coconut oil based for my face at night, as I’m Worried straight Coconut oil might make my face break out since everything is so sensitive after electrolysis.

And yes antiquing is the bomb! I love 40s and 50s era stuff... I geek out on anything vacuum tube  related, my furniture in my tiny apartment is 1940s industrial institutional style, like something out of a library or school, don’t ask me why as I know it’s not terribly Feminine but I absolutely love it ! I plan on giving my friends all of my mothers canning and jarring equipment since they have their own garden and often pickle things,  i’m just hoping to get a lot of pickled stuff from them over the next few years !  Holy Moses how I love pickled anything! My two friends gave me tomatoes and a jar of pickled peppers a couple weeks ago and it lasted all of three days because I’m such a nut for both!

 Hugs,

 Jackie

We need to learn to talk to each other again.  This place is important that way.   Abby

Nationally, sure.  But where I live, there aren't two large segments.  There's a majority, and a few who just don't fit and probably ought to move out.  I was in a nearby city a few days back, and I saw a billboard for the "Freedom From Religion" foundation.  That's acceptable there.  Here... folks would be making a bonfire.    I don't really see how the different sides CAN get along.  I see what goes on in California, and its like watching news from some alien planet.  It has very little to do with LGBTQ+ issues, really.  I can't live their way, I won't live their way, and I have no desire to compromise at all in that direction.  I'd prefer to be neighbors in separate nations, and I think folks would get along better that way.  I firmly believe the anti-trans stuff wouldn't exist here if we had a new republic of the Center-South area.  Even a micro-state of just my county and a couple others would be fine.    I get the giggles when folks think that Trump is somehow "far right."  Around here, he's a barely-acceptable centrist.  And by the standards of 100 years ago, its true.

I don't think the Dems have a corner on division.  I do try to kinda keep up with the antics on Fox for 5h1+s and giggles. We have two large segments of the population, living in their own bubbles, with completely opposite views of our society, who never talk to each other, only at each other. People don't even want to get along with each other. We're tearing ourselves apart from the inside, while the rest of the world just sits back and watches.

Back again now it’s inevitable I must tell my wife for me to be happy and authentic wish me luck

Trying to decide if I am one.  Hmmm.  It depends on the definition.  The Democrats' definition dehumanizes them, whatever they are.   I would like to see a restoration of respect for America around the world, one Obama threw away.  I would like to see factories reopen whose jobs went overseas because people like BIden wrote legislation to create a tax structure than encouraged that.  I would like to see an end to the division that Biden and Obama cause and exploit for cynical political purposes.  I would like people to be able to express themselves without fear.  I would like honest news media.  I would llike to see the federal government not push us recklessly into debt.   If that makes me MAGA, I guess I am.

You've never encountered the Oklahoma State Troopers, then.... it isn't far from reality.  I swear they've got half an army of cops just sitting around.  On I-40, they've got big concrete pads where they sit in the middle of the highway, sometimes a row of 8 cars in one spot.  I guess they've got money to burn....

I fenced my posting of the link.  Yep.

Good to hear about that case, but I believe Oklahoma is in the 11th Circuit COA region along with Texas which is going to find some way to nullify this decision as far as the Oklahoma law goes, just because - - - -
    • awkward-yet-sweet
That's a Circuit (Circus) court ruling.  Which is essentially temporary.  Most everything right now is temporary, as the Supreme Court hasn't gotten around to dealing with all the various trans-related issues from the last few years.  I really, really wish they would just bite the bullet and do their thing.  It would save us from the constant tug-of-war. "The sky is falling!".... "No it isn't.".... "But there's crap coming down."....."It landed east of here"  Whether it ends up being good or bad, I wish they'd just lance the boil and let us either have a tyranny we can fight against or a republic we don't mind living in.  Mediocrity is irritating.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
I'm sure there are some...there's just about every kind of person imaginable in our society.  And I suspect that a number of actual GOP politicians aren't really haters...it just happens to be convenient to go along.  Like most Germans in the early 20th century weren't actually anti-Semitic.  It was just that it didn't matter to them.    While I'm not friends with any politicians (well, other than local ones), the majority of folks around me aren't anti-trans.  And one of my two trans friends is a Trump supporter, with hat and all.  My other friend is a Democrat, and the three of us actually get along even when we talk politics.  Life is interesting.

This suggests some of the problematic policies would be unenforceable if implementation were attempted.    https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

You can believe what you want.  But there are such.  That should not scare you.  I wonder why it does.
    • Davie
I don't believe it. I've never heard of such a thing. That would scare me.
    • Davie
Yay for this . . . it overrides state laws. 4th Circuit Court says: Gender Identity Is A Protected Characteristic, Blocks State Coverage Bans. In a landmark ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that gender identity is a protected characteristic, and that Medicaid bans on treatments for gender dysphoria are unconstitutional. https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

I would challenge him next time about where is being transgender a fatal sin. The only thing he has about giving into fleshy desires. Another thing you can hit at does the Bible cover intersex people? Bible to me stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. You could also challenge him as to how many times has the Bible been edited.  You could challenge him on what music, movies, podcasts and tv shows and how they give glory to God. I challenged my mom, and she had nothing to say other than I know I'm right being defensive.
