Coming out to family is something I haven't been able to face yet.

I admire Chloe's courage.

For now, I'm having coffee and listening to the rain.

@TammyAnne, no matter the amount, it helps with the skin and circulation. Mine are just starting to take a bit more shape at 6 months, and i am happy.

That's comforting to know.

Alas, mine are tiny and just barely protruding as little mounds. But they do jiggle a bit.

On a side note, I assume most of us here dont change and shower at the gym? Im reluctant to go to the mens locker room with a shaved body. Any thoughts?

I don't go to the gym. I would not feel comfortable at all being undressed in front of other people with a male body. I'd feel worse about being undressed in front of men than in front of women. I really miss swimming but will wait until I am post-op until I swim again.

I dont go to the gym. I like to work out, run, bike or do body weight, or functional movement exercises ar home.

I do agree with being postop so i can start swimming in public again.

I really like to swim. A friend suggested I might want to "cover up" so I added a swimshirt/rashguard to my usual bikini workout briefs. Cuts down on the sun exposure (at least that's my excuse) as well as covers my budding nipples - they have always been larger and more protruding than other males.

I haven't had to change in the dressing room except to leave, as I come in with my swimming gear on under my clothing.

But changing after? Haven't thought too much about it. I'm near sighted, so can't see well without my glasses. I've always thought that if I can't see them they can't see me. LOL. I can't gauge someone else's reactions if I can't see them, so I just carry on.

It had been years since i felt comfortable swimming but i recently had the chance to enjoy a salt water pool attached to a motel where i was staying.  I'd missed feeling comfortable.  Because i wear a wig i'm a bit cautious about diving.

It was simply lovely!

Evening all, coming to you live from a hotel room in Rapid City SD. Got here yesterday Came a day early than originally planned.  Why you may ask. well a week ago tomorrow I found out that Bob Seger and the Silver bullet band was playing here last night. So, haul the mail after the wife got home. made it 300 miles in about 4 1/2 hours. Awesome concert was the third time we have seen him.

After going out to the badlands and visiting the Minuteman National historic site. Brought back serious memories as I was a missile cop here at Ellsworth AFB, SD. 84-92.

We hit the pool. I normally wear a one piece, matching swim shorts and a t-shirt. Started with that. pulled off the shorts. when hit the hot tub. after the hot tub I thought we were going to go back to the pool. I stripped off the T shirt. We wound up heading back to the room. I just slipped on my swim shorts. Felt great being out in my swim suit.

You are lovely! And look so happy, positively beaming.

Thanks for sharing, it gives me hope that I may get "there" someday too.

Good morning. Coffee with cream on a coolish morning with bright sunshine pouring in the window.

After coffee is done I'll be face down on the drawing board in my studio with Baroque music playing in the background. It's been a really productive time for me - after nearly a year of interrupted work, I've finished 4 drawings in a short while, and expect to finish 6 or so paintings soon. With more drawings to come!

I can hardly believe things are going so well!

Hope everyone else is having a wonderful day and enjoying fall as much as I am!

My parents are visiting this weekend. Still haven’t worked up the courage to come out, but it is great to see them.  We only get together a few times a year, due to the distance separating us.

I hope you you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Enjoy the time with your parents. They won't always be around to see you. Mine are both gone, and I wish they could see me get to a happy place in life.

I'm sure there are some...there's just about every kind of person imaginable in our society.  And I suspect that a number of actual GOP politicians aren't really haters...it just happens to be convenient to go along.  Like most Germans in the early 20th century weren't actually anti-Semitic.  It was just that it didn't matter to them.    While I'm not friends with any politicians (well, other than local ones), the majority of folks around me aren't anti-trans.  And one of my two trans friends is a Trump supporter, with hat and all.  My other friend is a Democrat, and the three of us actually get along even when we talk politics.  Life is interesting.

This suggests some of the problematic policies would be unenforceable if implementation were attempted.    https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

You can believe what you want.  But there are such.  That should not scare you.  I wonder why it does.
    • Davie
I don't believe it. I've never heard of such a thing. That would scare me.

Yay for this . . . it overrides state laws. 4th Circuit Court says: Gender Identity Is A Protected Characteristic, Blocks State Coverage Bans. In a landmark ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that gender identity is a protected characteristic, and that Medicaid bans on treatments for gender dysphoria are unconstitutional. https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

I would challenge him next time about where is being transgender a fatal sin. The only thing he has about giving into fleshy desires. Another thing you can hit at does the Bible cover intersex people? Bible to me stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. You could also challenge him as to how many times has the Bible been edited.  You could challenge him on what music, movies, podcasts and tv shows and how they give glory to God. I challenged my mom, and she had nothing to say other than I know I'm right being defensive.

God is not the author of evil.  The world is fallen - one of the few things everyone agrees on is that not everything is right with this world.  There is agency that can act contrary to His will.  And there is the promise that He will work all things for good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.  Rom 8:28.    Beyond that, I don't know.  Sometimes I say He made me transgender and sometimes I say it is the result of the fall. In either case the truth is governed by my previous paragraph.

Its only temporary...just til I get the current project done.  Actually, even back when I was working, I always worked from home.  Usually curled up in a corner with my headphones on.  In those days, it was just me and my GF and my sister.  I'd wake up when GF went to work, and my sister didn't have a job so we just stayed home.  She was still trying to be a writer.  But now it seems like everybody is up early, either for work or with all the kids.  Not much chance to stay in my nest through the morning now.     Congrats on your anniversary, BTW.   The Acadia might be decent for you.  I actually saw one of those after an accident.  Totally smashed, but the people inside hardly had a scratch.  I guess they're pretty safe.  IDK about a 4 cylinder engine for an SUV, though.  Around here, even that 4.0 6-cylinder would be considered "small."  I have the only 4 and 6 cylinder passenger cars in my family, actually.  My ancient Chevy Lumina has a 6 cylinder, and my Mazda Miata has a 4 cylinder.  They are appropriately "fox-sized."  All the rest are some flavor of V8, either the Ford modular engine or some variation of Hemi.      Would getting a new ID change how the day center handles you?  I would think it would be tough for them to justify treating you different from what your ID says...

This morning I went to see my vascular surgeon at the Hospital network and the staff and doctor all referred to me as ma'am. It seems the new settings on MyChart are already current and staff are following my preferred pronouns and name (my appointment papers all have my obviously male name on them).   It's quite refreshing until returning to the day-centre where they again go out-of-their-way to call me "Sir". 🙄

I guess this is the only plausible reason?  I can't imagine any other, really.  I think it is the intent of the Russian government to remove all LGBTQ+ people from their society.  I guess that will mean most of their female population, since I've noticed that Russian girls tend to be sexually "flexible" (at least)

I absolutely disagree with the idea that God makes people to be transgender.  Genesis 1:27 says that God made people - male and female He created them.  Plural.  As in...people generally.  Also notice that God creates animals according to their kinds, and that Creation was orderly.  I don't find the "both/or/and" interpretation to be consistent with God's personality as described in Scripture.  God doesn't seem to operate with ambiguity.  It feels like using "lawyer language" to find something that isn't there.    I do not believe that God made me as I am...intersex/trans, unable to reproduce naturally, and with wacky plumbing inside me that by some miracle manages to still work.  I believe that while God gives the soul, our biological life has been an ongoing natural process after Creation, something which He chooses not to control.  Yes, God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and all that.  But He voluntarily limits Himself in our world in this time.  He doesn't make everything or fix everything... cancer and war and such are proof of that.  If you believe in God creating people intentionally to be transgender, then you might also believe God intentionally creating some kids as disabled, or some to be stillborn.    I believe the path forward for Christians is to recognize and accept the effects of Original Sin upon all creation. There's a difference between God avoiding involvement/manipulation and actively creating a situation.  God doesn't make mistakes...but at this point, there are a lot of things that God simply doesn't make at all.  I don't believe He is as detached from Creation as the Deist "watchmaker analogy," but I don't believe He is controlling every little detail either.  There's a balance, sort of.  Disagree if you want - people have debated the issue of control, free will, and creation for centuries....it will continue to be discussed until the end of time.   I'm not sure if I was supposed to be a boy or a girl.  I guess when I get to the afterlife, I'll find out.  Because all the crap that happens here due to original sin and a broken system will be fixed.  The world will be set right, and I believe we'll all be either male or female as God originally wanted.  Some of us might be surprised at what that looks like.  As for me, I'll be happy with either.  I just want to fit in my body.
