Enjoy! I don’t think I’ll tell my parents, and I’m ok with that.

One of my many concerns with coming out, is telling my mom.  I don't know how she'll take it.    She is understanding, but also from that older very conservative generation.

Coming out - I think it deserves its own forum - is a difficuLt adventure for almost everyone.

Fortunately I'm at an age where what others think matters little to me.

I'm enjoying my morning coffee on an obviously fall day with the bluejays screeching about outside. Wish everyone the best day possible!

That is why I am painting my nails, wearing what I want. If people don't like it tough tooki. Last week I had worn red nail polish. a few looks but no comments other than from a lady liking the color.

Yesterday was my second visit with my speech therapist. Got into some preparation exercises. I was able to get to a level I liked. ?

I figured you knew, I just posted the link just in case  ?. All I do is copy and paste the link (using my iPad mini), nothing special.

Unfortunately Tammy Anne many of us who reach the age we don't care have difficulty with some of the technical aspects of these confusers.

Grocery shopping today.  Even farms need toilet paper.

Okay, if you only knew how jealous I am of you now!

I love - would love - that hairstyle. Baldness has put a dent in that so that even though my hair is longish, I look more like Ben Franklin.

Congratulations on your good news. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my November oncology appointment gives me the same news, even I can't have the same hairstyle!

We are in the 40's here so my oatmeal with blueberries, juice and coffee will help face a days work ahead.  Many farmers get some time off during the winter.  We stay busy with the goats kidding in February and a sugar season here that can start as early as January and run until march.  I'm trying to get some new doors on a pole barn to create a new goat shelter.  I'm grateful the i can still be this active in my 70's.

@Charlize And here I am complaining it’s 80-95 deg everyday still, ?. I don’t mind the cold too much, but now that I have been enjoying wearing skirts and dresses so much, I don’t think I want to bother with pants anymore ?. I got rid of most of my pants, and I’ve either worn shorts or skirts. Wearing pants actually feel weird now. It’s hard to tell what kind of winter we will be having, so maybe it will stay warm for a bit longer.

i love goats, so it makes me smile when you talk about them.

Im happy that you are still active at 70 too, and keep staying active, that’s what will help you, and everyone, to stay healthy the more that time passes. Being active and purpose helps the body, it sure helped my grandpa live to 102!

Hi,  Telling my parents is something I don't have to worry about.  Parents and sibling all gone years ago.  At the same time, I have to think that my father would not be accepting but I often think that my mother and sister knew even before I did.  Telling people you love and who love you can be difficult.

Goats are very cute. They almost remind me of dogs when they wag their tails and try to get rubbed on their heads. Baby goats are lots of fun and like playing. I once helped care for a weak baby goat and the poor thing just needed some human contact. It gained its appetite and in no time was walking around again. Once it was ok then the mother accepted it back but initially I almost think she was going to just let it die. It’s amazing how animals can express gratitude, friendship, and even love without saying a word. I don’t think i’v ever met an animal that didn’t like me. Maybe at first they would be a little leery but they usually would warm up. I truly believe that not just people have souls. How else can you explain a dog saying goodbye and then dying a couple days later? OMG, I’m fighting back tears. I always remember my animal friends. They have often been more real than people.

Good morning! Almost finished with my Potato Breakfast burrito, but no coffee. I’ll make some later.

My nipples are a bit sore, and they have been growing a bit, along with my breastages. They have been growing a bit more after the 6th month mark, and I think it also has a bit to do with the increase in the E Meds. I won’t be able to wear these shirts much longer without help from another shirt, or I might have to figure something else out. My friend said she has noticed more growth and  of a profile showing them a bit more. I’ve noticed my shorts have been fitting a bit more snug on my hips and buns. I’m very happy with all of the positive growth!

@Ellora congratulations! I’m also finally filling out the jeans that I bought last year. I’m eager to get more like them because they are so comfortable sometimes I just wear them around the house even if I don’t want to go out.

It’s a bit late for me to drink any coffee but maybe tonight I’ll get a sweet red and kick back with a glass.

My hyaluronic acid serum arrived today! I have heard a lot of good things about it but I’ll just have to try it out and see if anything positive will happen. It’s about 4 fluid ounces so hopefully that’s enough to last 4 months before I have to get more. And that’s going to give me enough prolonged use to see results. It’s supposed to hydrate and plump the face really well. Supposedly as we age there’s less of it present in our bodies. I’m not sure how it really works but I’ll try to find out more information.

That awesome news Ellora, well maybe not the soreness, but the rest of it.

Josie, I’ve heard great things about hyaluronic acid. Hope it works well for you.

Im headed to my father-in-law’s for the weekend. He is in some nice cottage country.  My wife is staying for a week, so I will be able to live next week as myself at home. I am so looking forward to it, as much as I will my wife.

Have a a great weekend!

*hugs*

@Josie Beth Thank you! It makes me feel really womanly when I fit and feel the changes. I totally love the feel of my shorts now, so much i almost feel guilty lol ? ?. I giggled earlier, when i noticed them even more. The small changes are becoming more noticeable, which I love of course. Yesterday I got a compliment on my legs from a Mom that was dropping off her kid at T-K, (I was dropping of the twins).

=Cheers=

@Willow things went pretty well on Monday. I have been working on the project all week long. I've been hanging out with my husband a lot, since he said that nobody would mind because I'm working on company stuff. My work is going slowly, but it is going. Rather better than I had hoped.   I ended up waking up late this morning. After 18 months of only working on house chores, not really used to doing anything else. Actually a little bit tired

Getting back to this… I've seen objections to Critical Race Theory, but simply "critical theory" is a new one on me.  I think we need to be "critical" about a lot of things, or at least examine why we believe what we do about them.  If they stand up under scrutiny, great.  If not perhaps we need to look at something else.   Not all socialists are Soviet Russian Communists. I have read very little Marx myself.  That kind of writing bores me quickly.  But I think there are legitimate concerns about unfettered capitalism.  There are countries that seem to do well on a mixture of capitalism and socialism.  But I am no Tankie.   The Red Scare kinda morphed into the Lavender Scare, and now we have this Transgender Scare.   The thing is, most people are scared to get to know any of the people they are scared of. I'm not scared of evangelical christians.  But I am a little scared of what they seem ready to do to me, because they are scared of me. I am not a scary person - don't want to be.  I'm just an old trans woman trying to mind my own business, and get with what's left of my life. And the 2025 project seems to be designed to make that difficult.

My mom has been more accepting of me being trans lately and even promised i could get a binder if i pay with my own money. The preferred name is still an issue. So far my mom, close friends and brother know i identify as trans but no one else does. I recently told mr grandparents about my partner and explaines the perferred name as a nickname they prefer to have. Luckily everyone who knows is accepting but i feel like i still have so much progress to make. Started getting more uncomfortbale being reffered to as my deadname and she/her in public. My therapist is getting me a trans pin for my birthday next time I see her. I have hop but sometimes I feel like the goal is so far. HRT and top surgery are things i know i want but there has been warnings given to me about the problems that come with it from the ones that have accepted me and I trust most. Mainly from the adults in my life that know, also been getting nervous many people dont see me as a man but i also go to an all girl school. being consistenly reffered to as women has started to get to me and have had urge on several occasions to write perferred name on paper. i dont think pereffered name can go into school system due to being catholic school and for graduation diploma we have to contact the person in charge and ask. I just need some advice on what to do, I am thank ful for the advice everyone had given me, made me feel better about future and hope that I can transition but also worry about familial ties and affect. due to most f them being born in the 80's and 90's and not taking it well originally mostly based on my moms reaction. I love my family alot but how they might react is scaring me. my mom still donesnt want them to know. I know they love me but when I eventually come out and medically trasition in several years hopefully, what will happen? there are little kids in the family and I already dont see them a lot, how would their parents react? what would they say to the kids? I know my aunt would not take it well due to political belief and warnings from cousins.

Maybe.  But they'd probably resent being required to do it.   IDK.  You have to show ID to register already.  And you have to be registered to vote.

Hah! Woke up the Red Scare!   I’ve never read Marx. I tend to believe in the inherent goodness in people. I let their words and deeds change that. Insisting people are immoral/less than/should not exist, stripping them (or keeping them from) human rights, is an a most basic example of true evil. What evils do LGBTQ+ people present simply existing? How does the Right justify their crusade against us? What justifies the manufactured fear and loathing they spout every day about us?

Congrats on the new addition @Ivy I have the opposite I have 4 grandson and a granddaughter. 3 of whom are visiting this weekend. I am feeling better. I think the biggest thing is that I got some much needed sleep.   Well gotta go and speed sometime with the grandsons.   Kymmie

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.
