I wrote down name ideas and combinations for a couple of years.  Dozens, maybe hundreds of them. Most of them had meanings and connections.  Some just sounded cool.

At one point I realized I would never decide. I made an appt at the courthouse to start the process.  My new legal name is simply the last one on my list the day I filled out the initial paperwork.  Madelyn is my middle name now. I'd been using Maddie as 1st name for a couple years, but too many people thought it was Matt when I told them.

Good day for me although I had to do a repo.Had a problem with one customer not paying me off on a tool cart he bought from me.Gave me the excuses and run around on it,said he had the money saved up to pay me.Didn't,stopped at the shop I go on Fridays he works at,took his tools out and I repoed it.His boss was on him to pay me too.After I left for the next place I stop at,he was fired.I put it up for sale and sold it on my next stop which is a transmission repair shop,the young lady that bought it had all the money to pay for it.This shop,they told me about a friend of his that was looking for a tool dealer to come to his place.Went there and this guy was happy to see me,runs a motorcycle repair shop doing small engine work as well.I have a wrench set and two impact socket sets which I ordered for him.Likes my service and how I treat him including my knowledge on the tools.

Had a good day today.  A new piece of equipment I installed the day before yesterday worked perfectly, much better than what it replaced. 

 

And then, this evening, I was explaining an important but obscure calculation in astrophotography to someone.  He replied,

"Kathy = Genius
Actually you are an awesome teacher!
Wish I had had an instructor with your ability to make things understandable when I was in College."

 

I always did love teaching, and that moment when I get through to a student and the lesson clicks in their head.  It made my day.

I had a good evening with my wife we didn’t go out to eat tonight we just got takeout because, every place was extremely crowded and no social distancing so we just got our food and ate at home. I did my makeup for the first time since this whole thing started so that was nice but I still need a lot of work lol. Getting ready for bed I have to work tomorrow.

Actually had a sit down meal yesterday. Went to the Dennys in Cheyenne.

 

Had a discussion with the wife last night. she started about you need to talk to your son. How she doesn't want to be between the two of us. She actually understood after I told her what he texted back.

Had a little cry as I went to bed. I hope things get better between me and my son.

 

Open today so off at 4. Forecast for mid 50s. Finally getting nice enough to do things outside.

Came out to my 11 year old daughter last night. Went incredibly well. She was excited to have two moms! I've been so lucky with my wife and daughter. I'm not "out" to anyone else yet..but I feel like the floodgates may have opened.

I had dinner at the folks last night. Then we got talking about my female feelings. My Step Dad is always quick with scripture verses and definitions. My mom is trying to understand but I can see she can’t. I told her that I won’t change my body but really can I promise that? I told her I need places to express my female personality. Right now I am Tessa at work but still people over the phone call me sir. I do correct them. I notice though that even when they think I’m a guy they still treat me softer like they would treat a woman. Do I come off even as a man with a woman’s personality over the phone? I’ve always been nervous with a caller if the man starts talking about football or sports. This is why as a kid I stayed out of those conversations and kept to myself. As I get older I see how much damage I have caused myself by holding back feelings. I read verses in the Bible that support and contradict how I feel. My mom just sent me a text about some research she did. Am I broken that I need to be fixed? Anyway feeling hurt from last night and confused. Today I see my children which will be the highlight of my day.

There are bright moments in teaching that stay with you forever. When the light comes on for a student it's just the best thing ever. Sadly those are often offset by hundreds of moments filled with people who don't want to be there and won't learn.

But that moment of understanding is pretty wonderful.

My state is opening up earlier than the governors original order.  I'm going to try to avoid the next wave of virus as people rush out and about again.

I think that's a good idea.  We now know how to live with "social distancing", and all those who have been clamoring to "get out" will be the first to get sick in next wave (hopefully not a tsumami).

Best to play it safe if its possible ...

Good morning everyone thanks for the compliments on the profile pic. I actually put a dress on last night even though we stayed in. We were just informed that we’re working till 4 instead of 2 today lol oh well.

I bought some new headphones and decided to take them for a spin. I plugged them into my phone and took a long walk playing my utube list. I danced while walking on a busy street. I didn’t care who was driving by I was in my own reality. I then walked over a bridge and watched cars on the interstate. I danced on the bridge. I have a lot of energy and I let it out. Felt good to feel the wind and just let myself go! Some people driving by smiled. I really needed that walk. I miss just seeing people. Some stores are opening but requiring masks. It just feels weird to have one. Today I was in my black cut up jeans, black Sullen t-shirt. I’ll give you a pic of this shirt. It’s awesome! Black leather zipper biker jacket. I’m a little tired now from all the dancing but it felt so good!

I couldn't agree more.  I need for this to be over so I can wrap up the few remaining things in Shawn's life and close that book forever.  Then I can focus on just being Shawna and we can get be together.

Beautiful day today. Trying to get yard work done. Mower died so I had to go get a new one. Thankful for the stimulus check right now, was able to get a nice Craftsman one.

Finally my day is done lol. I had 3 people comment on my hair today and not in good 

ways. One said I look like a pedophile. I admit my hair is a mess because I’m trying to grow it out and I wear a hard hat most of the day so by the end it’s a hot mess haha. I just wish people wouldn’t make comments about it I’m having enough problems trying to get the nerve to come out more. It just gets frustrating sorry about the rant.

Patti Ann, I will give you a ride at least some of the way.  Maybe all of us here could do a relay with you. Each person takes you to the next and so on. I'm sure Shawna would meet us halfway. or more. LOL
