Good Morning!

A prefect day here.  Blue sky, low 70s and low humidity.  We will be spending the day at an art festival.  My wife is displaying her sewing.  Pillows, purses, shirts and blankets.

First DEP Estradiol IM yesterday.  Went surprisingly easy. I was surprised how easy the needle went in.  Pushing the oil out was the hardest part.  Slow and easy.

Yesterday was a good day although I did have one slip up.

well I need to get ready.

Have a great day.

@Willow I am also doing DEP and curious on what kind of frequency they set you up with? It is very stable and long-lasting, but for my purposes I need it once a week. I have seen other types of injectables being spread anywhere between 5 days and a month, but not seen any other information about DEP.

@TommieAnne I do all the normal routine stuff. I am constantly doing something around the house. I just can't convince myself to go out in public. The very thought makes me uncomfortable. It stinks. I used to at least fake my way through the day. I don't care to even try that any longer.

There is a PTSD treatment called "immersion therapy" where you go confront the things that set you off, if only for a minute, and keep doing it over time until you overcome the bad reaction. I'm not suggesting you undertake that therapy without a therapist's help, but you should probably not let yourself end up confined to your living quarters.

I feel for you, Dear. These are difficult times.

Big Hug,

TA

@Abi I get being down, I think I spent most of this past week. In talking with my therapist her advise has been still pushing through the discomfort and depression, and still try to do the things that might bring joy, in the hopes it will illicit some benefit. Could you talk to your therapist maybe about how to work on the anxiety and distress that you are feeling? I know my therapist keeps talking about DBT and distress tolerance skills.

Had a good day with a friend earlier and went to the Zoo for a bit. It was nice to be able to see them and see some of the animals, and just talk. It has been a rough week and the distraction seemed to be helpful with keeping my thoughts in check. Now it is resisting the urge of going back to bed and doing nothing...

@QuestioningAmber I am glad you spent times with a dear friend today. Beautiful day and good news in regard to having a LGBTQ+ friendly president.

Had some really strange dreams that left me feeling off when I woke up. Still managed to get dressed, put a face on and get some shopping done. Although it took forever to decide on an outfit. I have a thing about putting effort into my look when I go out shopping.

When I got home the garage door decided to fall apart. The whole door twisted and bent the tracks. I got to watch 3 of the guide wheels fall out simultaneously. Later I found out my wife ran into it...again. Only took an hour to fix it this time.

Also did some some yard work. We have a couple of big trees that thankfully decided to drop pretty much all of their leaves at once. I had to get the leaves to street for pickup. There were way too many for the leaf blower so I brought out the big guns. I have an old Honda 3-wheeler and a leaf sweeper I pull behind it. It makes short work of the leaves but I get a lot of looks by people driving by.

I'm pretty sure, actually definitely sure I have lost some muscle over the last year. My arms were so tired by the time I was done.

Liz, isn't that all girls do that? Had a strange evening, me and the wife watched the final episode of MASH, Goodbye, farewell, and Amen. Of course the water works came.  Even towards the beginning. I had tears but not about the show, it was about me and my problems. I guess girls can cry at the drop of a hat.

Embarrasingly, I still need to see that episode. I loved the earlier seasons especially, and the movie, but that series is one of...far too many things...I never got around to finishing. (Common theme with me...)

Video therapy starts tomorrow, and I'm not sure how to present myself.  Maybe this 'Cat in the Hat' inspired number from Goodwill Couture.

More coffee please...

Good morning everyone, the coffee is Hot, Black, and Strong.

Today marks my 64 trip around the Sun. Most of my life has been good and on a smooth path outside of my metaphorical closet. This past Spring I pushed the door open on that closet and my path has been extremely varied emotionally. Thank you to everyone here on the forums for your support and advice. My physical  fitness has not been this good in many years and I’m loving the results. Leggings have replaced the baggy warm ups, and I love it.

Yes. Yes we can.

Hang in there, darling.

I get pretty teary over lots of things.

Plus there's a lot going on in my life right now. Phew. I seem to live in "interesting times" - at least it's not boring.

Hugs,

TA

Leggings and an oversized teeshirt or sweatshirt is my favorite thing. Except in warmer weather, when it's bikini bottoms with oversized teeshirt.

That is such a cute outfit @Ann W!  The wall speaker behind you makes it appear that you're wearing a top hat.  Have a good appointment.

Going to be working on clearing out a new flower bed so we can plant next spring.  Plus since the weather is nice this weekend we are taking advantage and grilling out tonight.  @Ann W that outfit looks great on you, @Mmindy Happy Birthday!

@RunValRun  hi. I know little about dosing and frequency of this or other versions of E.

I am on a 2 week schedule.since I am only a couple of days into this I can’t say good bad or anything about it.  I don’t feel any different.  No mood change, at least not yet.

absolutely beautiful day.

My mom has been more accepting of me being trans lately and even promised i could get a binder if i pay with my own money. The preferred name is still an issue. So far my mom, close friends and brother know i identify as trans but no one else does. I recently told mr grandparents about my partner and explaines the perferred name as a nickname they prefer to have. Luckily everyone who knows is accepting but i feel like i still have so much progress to make. Started getting more uncomfortbale being reffered to as my deadname and she/her in public. My therapist is getting me a trans pin for my birthday next time I see her. I have hop but sometimes I feel like the goal is so far. HRT and top surgery are things i know i want but there has been warnings given to me about the problems that come with it from the ones that have accepted me and I trust most. Mainly from the adults in my life that know, also been getting nervous many people dont see me as a man but i also go to an all girl school. being consistenly reffered to as women has started to get to me and have had urge on several occasions to write perferred name on paper. i dont think pereffered name can go into school system due to being catholic school and for graduation diploma we have to contact the person in charge and ask. I just need some advice on what to do, I am thank ful for the advice everyone had given me, made me feel better about future and hope that I can transition but also worry about familial ties and affect. due to most f them being born in the 80's and 90's and not taking it well originally mostly based on my moms reaction. I love my family alot but how they might react is scaring me. my mom still donesnt want them to know. I know they love me but when I eventually come out and medically trasition in several years hopefully, what will happen? there are little kids in the family and I already dont see them a lot, how would their parents react? what would they say to the kids? I know my aunt would not take it well due to political belief and warnings from cousins.

Maybe.  But they'd probably resent being required to do it.   IDK.  You have to show ID to register already.  And you have to be registered to vote.

Hah! Woke up the Red Scare!   I’ve never read Marx. I tend to believe in the inherent goodness in people. I let their words and deeds change that. Insisting people are immoral/less than/should not exist, stripping them (or keeping them from) human rights, is an a most basic example of true evil. What evils do LGBTQ+ people present simply existing? How does the Right justify their crusade against us? What justifies the manufactured fear and loathing they spout every day about us?

Congrats on the new addition @Ivy I have the opposite I have 4 grandson and a granddaughter. 3 of whom are visiting this weekend. I am feeling better. I think the biggest thing is that I got some much needed sleep.   Well gotta go and speed sometime with the grandsons.   Kymmie

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.
