Ah, it's never too cold to wear a skirt...well, maybe on a rare occasion it might be, but still, what's a little cold as compared to the need to show a little leg?  If it's really cold, then I'll opt for a pair of heavy tights under the skirt, but it's really never too cold to wear a skirt.  ?

I'm with you! I practically wear leggings under everything, so I'm rarely if ever cold during the winter. Or maybe that's the Minnesota girl in me talking?

Love,

It has to be above 60 for me to wear a skirt but then I tend to want mine to end at the knee. My legs are the one part that doesn’t cause dysphoria.

I love the feel of cold air while wearing a skirt.  I wore a cute skirt yesterday with a nice sweater around the house and had to go outside a few times to feel the rush of air.

Morning, it is 5 am and I have not slept in 2 days now. hm.

My goodness, in the lighter months, I’ll awake around 5 or 6am, but since Christmas, it’s been around 8am when I wake. This morning however, it was almost 9am when I surfaced from under the duvets!

Good Morning

Ah the topics of the day, wearing a skirt and stimulus checks.  I guess we all have Schumer to ridicule for the lower payment amount.  Frankly I am just really tired of all the finger pointing.

So, Liz, your first skirt. Congratulations! Guess you didn't didn't want to jump straight into the dress just yet.  Probably for the best.  Funny thing, I don't have any skirts.  Skorts and dresses but no skirts.  I ordered one right before the pandemic it looked cute.  unfortunately it ran small and I couldn't wear it.  But I couldn't return it either.  Annoying.  So someone at a thrift store got a brand new skirt.  My wife drew the line at swimsuit.  maybe line is too light, impenetrable wall would be better.

I guess I am further ahead clothing wise but behind on other aspects.  We all go at our own pace.  And chose our end points.  I for one have no intention of getting GCS,  At my age I say whats the point.  I may not like what I have but I've lived with it this long I can die with it too.

Rained most all day yesterday, sunny today, rain tomorrow.  Unfortunately, I want to leave to go home tomorrow.  If I am willing to wait until closer to noon it should be ok.  but that also means not getting home until 10Pm.

I am anxious to get home, I have a lot to do before I have surgery on the 14th.  After that I won't be able to drive or walk for about 6 weeks.  I am having bone spurs and arthritis removed from my right great toe then pins and a plate put in.  Had it done to my left foot last year and now its time for the right.  So, I'll be on a scooter for a while.

Have a great day.

I was for sure thinking about wearing leggings with it. It's definitely not a winter skirt. I think it will look pretty cute with my boots, just trying to figure out what top(s) to wear with it. I have a cropped hoodie that might work. This might also be a good thing to talk to my wife about eve though she said she didn't want to know but I know she will be upset if I don't tell her. My wife has some really weird psychology going on.

In addition to the name change fiasco the question about if we can legally stay married once my stuff says female. Funny, I checked into this over a year ago. She's just now thinking about it. Our state says we can stay married but I will not be able to ever marry a woman again. I can only marry a guy? Eww, guess that's what civil unions are for.

Oh sure, with leggings. It occurs to me now that I need a pair of black leggings to go with my blue skirt. The other pairs I've got are too bright.

"Are we still married?" was one of the questions my wife asked me too. I looked at her goggle eyed for a minute and said, "Well, gay marriage is legal so..."

Hugs!

I never would have thought about legal aspects of marriage.  Did not even cross my mind that the state would have a say in our marriage after 20 years.  As for only being able to marry a guy...wth kind of law is that.  Illinois allows same sex marriages but not for transgender?? Do they think gender is linked to sexuality?  And even then why would we be limited to only an opposite gender marriage?

Guess I have a lot to learn about being trans.

It is but I think the question was based more on if our marriage would be annulled by the state and we would have to get re-married. Her biggest fear is anything that might cause her to lose her medical insurance, her meds are over 2k a day. Heart meds are ridiculously expensive.

Good morning everyone!

I ground some organic fresh beans, brewed them in my French Press and now I’m on sip number one of coffee! That sentence makes me sound like a *wellness white woman*.

I think today will be a lazy day with my cats since it’s so snowy out.

Sometimes it’s hard to let myself be restful. I’ll feel this unending guilt about all the things that need to get done. But for today I’m telling myself it’s okay to be a couch potato.

Nah, if you were a *wellness white woman* it would be herbal tea... like... I'm... drinking... What have I become?!?

I agree.  I have some leggings for when it is cold - one fleece lined pair.  I also made a petticoat/half slip out of some sweatshirt-type material that someone gifted me.  I just layer up.

But I do prefer longer skirts (I am 70) and of course this is the south.

Good morning everyone, the coffee was HOT, black, and strong Folgers Dark Roast. My wake up call 08:00 was from the Indiana Department of Health (INDH) wanting to do a phone survey. I'm cool with weekday 08:00 calls. BUT ON THE WEEKEND!? I may be a little harsh, and I'm not worried about my voice tone. I felt real sick and ran a fever on 12/05/2020, tested positive later that day at Fire Headquarters. Following department protocols I was tested by the medic on duty, in my car, and they followed INDH guidelines and reporting responsibilities. This triggered a daily cellphone text exchange tracking my condition and I was happy to comply. On 12/26/2020 I was 10 days without symptoms and opted out of the COVID contact tracing program. On 12/27/2020 I got an email wanting me to participate in INDH COVID surveys, I opted out. Then this morning the wake up call didn't go well. I started by thanking the person for their concern, their work with INDH, and that what I had to say wasn't personal or directed at them. I'M OVER IT! I DON'T HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS! I OPTED OUT VIA TEXT, EMAIL, A D NOW BY PHONE! SINCE YOU NEVER REPORT HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE SURVIVED COVID I'M DONE WITH YOU AND INDH! Leave me alone, you're becoming as bad as the car warranty people.  Good bye and good day.

On a brighter lighter note, the bird feeders are busy with all kinds of birds, and I'm much more relaxed after my INDH  venting.

Best wishes, and positive thoughts,

Well @Mmindy, it's well-known that the virus can cause long-lasting side-effects. They just don't talk about phone harassment being one of them.

Technically its same sex marriage.  Which is more apropos for us that are married as our spouses most likely do not identify as L or G.

Excellent point... though I'm working on her. ?

Just what we called it in the Midwest.

Good Afternoon

Neither my wife nor I have had cover or any symptoms.  But our healthcare provider calls each of us every two weeks to make sure we are taking our daily medications, if we are seeing our doctor(s) regularly and so on.  At least it isn't at 8:00am but they often call when we are getting supper ready or eating.  we aren't 4pm senior buffet and to bed by 7 people.  we eat watching the evening news between 6 and 7.

Actually, we have come to know their phone number and when it comes up on the caller ID we just ignore it.

Funny how my body reacts to hormones.  A couple days ago I was depressed, not unlike my wife was at times of the month.  I took my DEP shot and that went away.  Today my nipples are sore and I can't imagine what it would feel like if I got hit there.

today is my yourger granddaughters birthday.  I can't imagine she is 14! In one month, her sister will be 17.  SEVENTEEN! she was only born a couple years ago, wasn't she?  Oh my.

Beautiful day today.  Partly Sunny upper 50s 40 and rain likely tomorrow.  I still haven't decided whether it will be better to go home tomorrow or Monday, but if we wait until Monday there can't be any delays.  4 days in a row of doctors.

Well, guess I need to find something to eat.

Oh, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be allowed to remarry your wife or another woman just because you had a gender marker change.

Hugs

Congrats on the skirt @ElizabethStar!  I love skirts and this time of year I like a good maxi.  I've even worn nice knee length "professional" skirts to work with hose and knee high boots.  Never felt the cold but my walk from house-car-work is pretty short.  I'm sorry you're going through the dead name /name change challenge.  Is it $300 for a court order name change or all the changes?  My court order was $75 including a few extra copies.  My birth certificate (if it ever comes back) I think was another $75. Drivers license $30, but will also have to re-title cars so that will run more.

Speaking of which: I got my Drivers License in the mail today!!! I'm reasonably happy with the pic (who ever loves them?) considering the massive lip electrolysis the day before but seeing my name and gender marker made me so happy. I kinda think the state needs to put in the word "gender" instead of "sex"

Next up-Social Security Card and then passport (and all my various certification ID cards)

My wife wouldn't go for either. To her it M-F marriage, period.
