Did some furniture shopping yesterday. Originally just going to shop for a new mattress for our youngest. We wound up getting a new mattress for ourselves and the whole bed for our youngest.

Finally got all the stuff for the fuel system on the wagon. Still waiting on the intake. Going to check the status today. Right now the plan is to just get it up and running. Intake, new distributor, coil, and ignition control will be added later.

Today, need to pick up the motorcycle jack from storage. Then the hopefully finish the rear air ride that I have started 4-5 years ago. Finally having my own garage is so nice.

Looks like a great day to day. official temp is 34. looking at a high of 68. Loving the nice weather. However, this is the start of May. We've had some of our biggest blizzards in May.

Hugs, to all

Hi everyone

sounds like a pretty good day around the table.  Lots of cups and pots of coffee being consumed.  I’m on cup number 2 myself.  @Dillon I recently tossed some coffee that had aged beyond its prime.  I tried drinking it out of desperation one day but yuck!

@Ivy who ever heard of going to the DMV and getting out so quickly these days.  Such an amazing feat!

@KymmieL what is it what makes your intake manifold so unique that you are waiting so long to get one?  Obviously, we are talking pre 1994 when you say about distributer and all that.  But I find it odd that you can’t find an available used manifold unless you are switching to a blown intake or three duces or dual 4 barrels. Then there are also the custom adapters to match the brand and model of carburetors.

Nice having a day off.  I slept in.  I can sit around checking in on everything and just having a relaxing morning.

have a great Tuesday and don’t forget to stick up on cerveza 🍺 Saturday is coming!

Hah! I got halfway through my cup this morning and dumped it. Tomorrow morning will have to be tea.

My daughter is working at Starbucks these days.  She brings home a fair amount of coffee that is past their "sell-by" or what ever they call it.  It still meets my standards.

But then, I'm not a coffee snob by any stretch.  I like good coffee, but it has to be pretty bad before I won't drink it.  I'll heat up cold coffee in the microwave and be happy with it.  When I was still working, I learned which convenience stores had undrinkable coffee and avoided them at break time.

am more particular about my beer though.

Inverted day for me with busy morning. So I'm finally getting to my coffee in the middle of the afternoon. A few household duties (change light bulbs etc.), got a swim in and then got my racing back ready for the summer. Basically  a little cleaning, charging the front and back lights, changing the trainer tie to a road tier and then making it went back together right. The coffee tastes good.

@IvyI had a daughter who was dating a gut that worked as a Starbucks mgr. They got  at least a pound of beans every week and soon they were giving us the surplus. Had free coffee for 18 months but now we are very accustomed the taste.

This is good to know. I guess opening it is what speeds up the process of going stale.

I'm a bit late with the good morning today.

Has been a good day. Day off work for May day, visited family and I now have my new car!

As far as clothes finds, I found some nice chino culottes the other day. They are very wide so look like a skirt, but with all the benefits of a trouser. Will definitely be worn soon with the warmer weather (just about).

Nice. I'm a fan of Ford. I own a 2009 Taurus X. It has been extremely reliable

Today has been a good day. As I suspected, my partner was too squeamish to touch the sheep brain, so I still had work to do there. The dissection is finished and I just need to finish up the notes. My quick modification to my pants lasted until about 15 minutes ago and a book that I've been very excited about is coming out tomorrow. Overall, a good day, and it's only about 7.

I have tried to handle things at lowest level possible but now my soon to be ex wife is going to lawyer up. We have only been married since Valentines Day. Just when you think you can trust someone. I knew her back in high school. She was never this way. It makes me wonder was she just using me?

Over caffeinated already - trying to wade through the gender support locally. The gender clinic is seeing people from august 2021 and the non-for-profit support doesn't answer their phone line (staffed by volunteers) so I guess everything is underfunded. More money being spent on pronoun protocols than personal contact staff.

Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe try just writing something like "Redacted" in that space instead?

@WillowThe intake is a single plane. For the small block Buick 350 motor. From back when each manufacturer had their own small and big blocks. (All but Pontiac ) Only one company manufacturers these intakes, TA Performance. How ever good news they said they had recently got them back in stock so I should be getting mine shipped this week.

I am mostly a Ford girl. with few exceptions, I love Buick muscle cars. Everything I own is a Ford but the wagons. A Buick and a Volkswagon.

Found out that the air shocks I purchased to do the rear air ride on the bike have been used and were trashed. I have to order a new set today at work.

Hugs, everyone.

Good morning, everyone!! Raining again today - no real change in the weather pattern until the weekend. I need some sun!!!

Just a quick walk for the dogs, fed them and made coffee. First cup is finished and I'm ready for another.

Another day of indoor projects for me, and I'll work on the book I just started, too.

I love hearing about your auto/bike projects @KymmieL- oh for the days when you didn't have to be an IT Tech and Master Electrician to work on cars.

Be safe and look for the good in this day.

Book release today, from an author constantly praised as "J.K. Rowling but a good person". The book itself should be filled with greek mythology and representation. (my tone here is much more relaxed compared to my head right now.) If you're wondering what I'm talking about, It's The Sun and the Star By Rick Riordan.

Good morning, today this thread is brought to you by what ever coffee my wife mixed up. Folgers and 8 o'clock I think. LOL.

As long as it isn't that fancy coffee all is good.

@April Marie I know what you are talking about. I look under the hood of my 2020 Ford Ranger and think I know their is an engine some where in there.

Back to the grind today. I hope they fixed my delivery truck. The HVAC system would not adjust the temperature. it was stuck on full hot. Not even nice when you have to drive with the window down when it is 27 out. Let alone the 68 forecast for today. Still walking on egg shells at work. But I still have a job.

Have a great day.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with resources. I went through that for about a year here in New York, and it's frustrating and I found it a little isolating too. I just wanted to express my support for how difficult this can be. I hope something will work out for you.

I slept late, which is wonderful because it helps with the fibro. Some days I'm in the mood for tea, and it works out well that this is one of those days since I'm out of coffee. I ordered a new bag and hope it will be here today. The issue I was worried about at the lgbt center last week was just a misunderstanding at my end. I'm relieved about that.

My neighbor is stopping by this afternoon, and I have therapy over the phone in the evening. Otherwise, I'm catching up on some things at home. That's most of my plan for the week, catching up. I'm cleaning out old paperwork, looking for the extra toothbrushes (I might just have to buy more), lots of little random things.

Everyone have a peaceful day.

Trying out a new wig. Got my reading glasses on. I've also got dark roots now - first time in years.

Thea, your post made me think of a comic named Chloe Petts whom I saw recently on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix. She is a cisgender masculine lesbian. She is brilliant and so funny. I was intrigued by her identification - specifically masculine, not butch. And it seems to me there is a difference.

Today I had a dr appt. When I checked in, I was asked my surname, which I gave. Apparently there were two patients with appointments at that time with that same surname. The receptionist asked, "Are you (my legal name which is feminine) or Paul?" I got such a kick out of it not being assumed I had the feminine name.

That must have felt affirming, albeit perhaps weirdly so. However, I'd construe that more broadly (no pun intended) as sexism rather than misogyny where the latter would imply contempt. Also, incidentally, I've heard chivalry referred to as "benevolent sexism".

My boss is in a panic. His business is a couple straws away from breaking a camel in half. He's just handling the stress very poorly.   My dad, though. He's handling things pretty well, as long as I continue to don't get massively offended by being called: son, boy, etc. His eldest is leaving the State and looks so different than he's been used to over the years. I haven't told him I'm on HRT, but to be fair the changes haven't been massive. I've always had boobs, more so after COVID weight gain and made more obvious with its loss, but now I'm not hiding them--and obviously wearing a bra. The estrogen has done some work, but nothing major (sadly). I think the biggest HRT changes have been my skin and a mild amount of fat redistribution.   Today I'm wearing my cheater, I almost have cleavage! :D I need to get another t-shirt bra to keep a good rotation. I only have two, one push-up, and the rest are unlined (great for Summer, but not great for my Summer wardrobe ).

I eat a ketogenic diet and have had no problems. I don't know about your case but I suspect it is the estrogen. Research the types of ways to take estrogen. Pay close attention to the bloodwork results. If they are not satisfactory, bring it up with your doctor. I take injectables, which are fully covered by insurance. It may not be the route for you, but something to consider. I emphasize to do your research and good luck. You can solve this. Be persistent.    Jennifer

I'm in a magenta blouse under a baby blue buttoned cardigan - still a little cool here in the northeast today - with dark blue jeans. Oh, and my favorite flame colored copper feather earrings.

White crop top and capri jeans ;) Finaly tricked the face id on my phone, "that's not you" lol.

This is my opinion, so take it for that. Fatigue is based more on what you eat. Eat a more healthy diet, and stay away from ultra-processed foods and that should help. Think of eating the way we did a couple hundred years ago before the industrial revolution. It's just a thought.   Jennifer

I like the fact that you found support and have close members of your life. That is very important. No matter where you are on your journey, you have to have the support. Or you drift, and you question yourself.    Looking forward to your progress,   Jennifer

The source of estrogen can matter. I started HRT at age 50. My avatar was the result. I started on pills, and moved to estradiol valerate injectables. However, there was a shortage, and I had to use a compounding pharmacy. The estradiol would evaporate in the vial, and couldn't get 5 doses out of it. I eventually move to the patch.    Over time I realized the patch wasn't working properly. And, the last time I visited my doctor he told me my estrogen levels were low. He asked me if I wanted to change to estradiol valerate. I jumped for joy. So I started my script for estradiol valerate. My prescription was ready, but I didn't receive my script for needles for a couple of weeks. So I bought my own (legal). I started with intramuscular injections. This requires a longer needle, and the estrogen is released into the muscles. It has a powerful effect right away but isn't stable. So by the time I took my next injection 2 weeks later, the estradiol in my bloodstream was almost gone. When I finally received my script for my needles, the needle was shorter. So the injection was subcutaneous. What is different with this type of injection as that the estrogen released is more even over 2 weeks (before the next injection). Interesting the syringe/needles my doctor prescribed are so much higher in quality. I am going to follow his path. My breasts are now perky again. And I will let my doctor guide me.    I wish you success on your journey. Let us know how things are proceeding. I am happy for you.   Jennifer
