Not a bad day today. Only problem is a continuing problem with the HVAC system in my delivery truck. It is stuck on hot. So I am roasting, with the heat on and upper 60s don't mix well.

Monday, I get to go to Cheyenne. for the possibility of being a juror for the US district court.  Maybe I should make sure I wear my best dress. LOL. The message said to be prepared for a stay the whole week if selected.  Don't know anything more.

Good morning, everyone!! I actually almost it to 5AM sleeping this morning!! I've caught up on my morning routine, though - dogs walked and fed, first cup of coffee down the hatch and now ready to tackle the local newspaper. Hopefully, we'll see the end of this deluge of rain we've had these past few days.

You're HVAC issue, @KymmieL, reminds me of the old '72 VW I had at one point. Bugs were infamous for the cable that controlled the heater snapping. Of course, mine did in summer so I opened the windows, closed the floor vent and sweated a lot!! I didn't have the VW long enough to try to fix it.

Have a beautiful day, everyone!! Be safe and look for the goodness in this day.

I woke up at 4:30 and never went back to sleep. I'm finally admitting defeat LOL and drinking coffee. I think I have a light day planned. I'll catch up around the house.

@Dillon You're not defeated - just making a strategic retrograde under the old Cold War military doctrine of The Active Defense. 🙂

Good morning

I have to work a 10 hour day today.  Yipes!  I sure hope the found me some help cause a good portion I’m going to be alone.  The fired the person that was supposed to be with me most of that schedule.

@KymmieL I’m surprised you haven’t fixed the run away heater yourself.  I’m sure O'Reily’s must carry parts that would fix it.  Any chance it was sabotaged?

the water in our community pool is not warm enough for me, but people do use the pool.  It’s a beautiful place and makes relaxing after a day nice.  Besides, we picked this particular unit for its proximity to the pool.  Walk out the back door and you are there.

I need to start getting ready.

Yeah, I could if they would let me. They'd rather pay to have it done vs having me doing it. It takes time out of me either putting away freight or making deliveries. It is scheduled to go in the shop this Monday. This problem has been there for quite a while. So, I don't think so.

Coffee is nice a warming. Not that it is cold. Official temp 34. Forecast for 63. So, today should be nice again. Loving this warmer weather. No word on my intake but there is still today and tomorrow.

Everyone have a good day.

Hugs to all.

That's-a not so bad, for these middling months, anywhere. 63F = 17C which is what we got today.

You're heading for summer, I'm heading for winter. See you on the other side! :D

Good morning everyone :coffee:

There is nothing that gets to me more than doing an expense report for my business. I'm a nuts & bolts, weld shop person. Not a spreadsheet person. I'm to old to use the latest 'just take a picture of it' apps. I physically lay out each receipt in chronological order by date and project build. Each project build get an ID number, and then is grouped by project. I only built two props last month so that was easy. Then I only had 3 monthly bills that hit my credit card. Then calculating my business miles on the truck. This is the easiest month to expense I can remember. Maybe the Semi in semiretired is finally catching up.

I also can't believe no one has said: "May the 4th be with you".

Hugs,

Hi

Good shift today.  Got everything done and the end of day completed.  I closed at 8pm.  I guess until we get staffing issues fixed I’ll be handling the Thursday night early close.  I’m actually only scheduled to work 40 hours next week!  I don’t know what I’ll do with myself only working 5 days.

weather permitting maybe we can go to the beach or sit by the pool.

so as I understand it, they checked the security tape and found that the person that was just fired had stolen money. We came in early this morning and wanted to repay some of the missing money and come back to work when his shift was scheduled.  Instead, they intend to press charges.  True or not I don’t know and I don’t know that I want to know.

I'm kinda excited for tomorrow....road trip!  Our sheriff's office bought some kind of military surplus vehicle, and we have to haul it.  Its big, so we've got an oversized load escort....and we're borrowing a couple of patrol cars.  GF drives the truck, and my husband and sister are driving the cars (they are reserve deputies.). I get to handle navigation and communications.

I'm finally not in as much ankle pain, and I'm happy to be useful for something.  😁

Good morning everyone,

I've got the dentist this morning, just the hygienist, so nothing major. I'm very glad it's Friday though. Has felt like a very tiring week.

@Willow the beach sounds wonderful 😊

Good morning, everyone! Already working on my second cup of coffee - awake early today and I'm waiting for the caffeine to kick in.

Another day of working on small projects - and I always find time to read. No big plans for the weekend - hopefully the weather will let me do some outside work.

Be safe and find the goodness in this day!!

Good morning all, it's evening here and I just had to tell y'all that I had the bestest day!

As you might know I've been growing my hair for a long time now and I'm loving it but the frizzy bits near my temples look horrible. I went to a walk-up hairdresser store today to get something done about it and I just happened to get a lovely lady who made my day. I learnt so much! Frizziness is controlled by product, not cutting, so I'm now sorted there. So we had a great conversation about growing it all out, layering etc. and I got a light trim to help grow my layers out. The best part about the whole experience is that she lurrrrves what I'm doing! She is passionate about long hair and couldn't have been more complimentary about mine, it's volume and texture and color etc. We really hit it off and although it's the kind of store that doesn't take appointments, I know her roster now and I will make sure I rock up and wait for her next time I go there.

For the rest of the day I have been glowing, feeling a great deal of affirmation about my path ahead, even if this lovely person I met today doesn't know about my inner woman. I'm sooo happy!

Yes @rachel w, I feel special! You summed it up perfectly!

I'm also very sorry for your loss. I can only try to imagine how difficult it must be for you. :(

Aren't those small victories and affirmations so heartwarming @Mirrabooka?  Keep that smile going!!!

I am so sorry about your loss @rachel w, and understand the turmoil and angst that having to present in our male form more than we want.

Have you looked around for LGBTQ+ or Trans-specific support groups in your area? I know they can be hard to find here in parts of the northeast - nothing within several hours drive where I am. But, perhaps you're more fortunate and there's a group within reasonable distance. That would be a way to find like-minded people and support. In any case, I wish you peace and happiness.

Learning about hair care, is a major event for those of us who had crewcuts since we were born. My hair is now down between my shoulder blades, it was curly when I was young, now it's wavy at best. Your new hair stylist will figure you out in no time, they see people from all walks of life and can spot personality signal quickly.

Hugs for you Rachel, as you hold your wife's memories in your heart. There isn't a time limit on grief. I hope that you will eventually focus on the good times and memories you had with her. I don't know sparse your community is up in norther Maine, but there has to be a #LGBTQIA group up there somewhere. It may be a bit of a drive. Feeling alone, can happen when you're in crowded room, or workplace. If you don't have a companion to share things with. I pray that things open up for you soon.

Good morning everyone,:coffee:

I went to bed early last night, with the help of Tylenol PM, and Melatonin, and had the most wonderful dreams. What a stress reliever that was. Suzie and I had some fairly frank conversations on where we wanted to be financially, and my transition. We're in a good place right now, and I'm happy.

Hugs,

Hehehe. I hope so. ;) I told her about some banter I received at work, where someone suggested that I get my hair dyed purple like a lot of other 60-something Grannies. We both smiled at that!

I just love it that she loved my hair!

Got to go to the tag office today.

I got a letter from the DMV that said my insurance was canceled and I hadn't turned in my tag as required.  I'm thinking what the heck?

It was late in the day, but I went over to my agent's office to find out what was going on.  I've been with them for years, and always pay the bill when they send it (twice a year).  Turned out that it was cancelled because I hadn't payed the bill.  I said I hadn't gotten the bill.  She checked, and for some reason they had sent it to an old address.

The company won't issue me a new policy, since I hadn't payed them.  In the past they had sent the bill to where I am now -- I don't get that part at all.

She set up a new policy with a different company (which was actually cheeper).

But now I need to go to the tag office, and pay a fine because I didn't turn in the tag when the insurance lapsed.  (because they sent the bill to the wrong place)

It kinda torqued me off.  But at least I won't have to go to jail.  Sheesh.

It took me less than 6 months, in how my body quickly responded to hormone therapy, I was once a 40 jeans size, and now I'm comfortably wearing 12 to 14 sizes. Estrogen can speed things up and can slow things down in order to make adjustments. Seeing a treating doctor is very important to monitor the hormone levels to avoid possible side effects later on in life.

I actually have Yoga as part of my exercise routine at the moment.  Since I'm still in the first month (of three, arbitrarily chosen by me) I've only got it slated for weekends, Sat/Sun.  I am finding out though if I get a little in during my morning wake up that when I get to my cardio in the evening, my joints don't ache as much. Right now the routine is: Weekly - Minimum of 3 days of cardio Weekly - Minimum 1 day of Yoga Monthly - Single endurance jog, preferably on Sunday I want my big thighs and butt to kinda hang around, so I am going to work some cycling into the mix after the third month. So far though, with the help of the Yoga stretches, Down 14lbs in a month. Next week is month 2.  ;_;  Going to put the tredmill on a slight incline to see if I'm ready for it.  If ya don't hear from me, the tredmill ate me. Oh!  I use a product called Yoga Stack 52, so I can Yoga at home.  It's just a deck of cards with the poses, difficulty, areas they stretch, and a nifty QR code you can scan to see a demonstration.

I often see people on the political Right claiming that all the wealthy elites are funding the "Radical Left".  But what I see seems to be the opposite.  There seems to be no lack of "big money" funding the Right.  The so called "Radical Left" is completely disorganized.  The "liberal media" (controlled by the wealthy) seems to be committed to presenting "both sides" of everything (including trans issues) whereas the Right makes no such pretense.   It should be noted, that in 1930's Germany the wealthy industrialists had no problem supporting the party (that can't be mentioned here). I have seen very few on the Left (out side of a few on the fringe) supporting an authoritarian regime.  Whereas plenty on the Right seem fine with it - down to many local MAGA folks.  Most of the GOP doesn't seem willing to even commit to accepting an election that they don't win.  Both Gore and Clinton accepted their loss despite having actually won the popular vote.  (it's that pesky electoral college thing)   Some on the Right claim to be oppressed by not being allowed to oppress certain minorities.  And Rightwing authoritarianism is now considered "Patriotism."  Go figure.

Technically, it's before noon ;)   Uneventful day so far. I have my personal devices limited to 15 mins of screen time a day because I had a C lol, only problem really is the fact I do a lot of my social interaction online because most of my friends are in another state... been a little lonely, I guess? Plus I do a lot of reading and such online, and use my phone for references to draw, so there's a lot I don't have access to. So, just an annoyance now.   Anyways, fixed the C, hopefully I'll have normal things again soon ^-^   My mom's been having me take this herb pill in the mornings that is supposed to help with anxiety/ADHD-type symptoms, but I still have been having about the same amount of trouble focusing and sensory issues, so I guess it's not working haha

Claire shares the same first letter as my male name.  I tend to prefer shorter names to long ones, and this one seemed feminine to me without going overboard. I was inspired by Claire Danes, Claire Underwood, and Claire Dunphy (upon whom I always had an enormous crush ).  Plus, it just felt right. I don't know if Claire will be my final legal name, but it's stuck longer than the others I've tried on.

I'm the same (estradiol, no blockers) and for me, after 4 years, T levels naturally *decreased*. I'm at E&T levels of a postmenopausal woman.   Astrid
