Exercise And Transition

Hey All,

That was a question that plauged me leading up to the actual transition.

Would i continue being atheletic?Would this help in the development of that body?

Almost five months later, and i am here to tell you......YES.

The way i have responded to HRT,say's that my reasoning was sound.

First it helps to slim the waist.

It also helps keep my chest firm but not muscular.

Thighs and calves have rounded out,not muscle bound any longer.

Plus my bottom is tight and round, very girlish appearing.

And my arms are very slim without being waifishly thin.

And how did i accomplish this?

Why Mountain Biking,that's how.

Because the tires are stouter,I can and do go over curbs, both directions,at and from.

Go off road whenever i please,And climb big steep hills too.

All together, creating the beginings of a well proportioned female body.

Plus it has helped with bust development, more muscle to move= more mass...Truth.

Eat healthy, exercise regularly....and you may be very pleased that you did.

I AM.

Hugs To All My Sisters,

Angie.

Well, for years now the thing that kept me running was an insane desire to perfect and become stronger in the Martial Arts. My main styles typically center around Shaolin Kung Fu and Ninjutsu, those styles have helped me at least control myself enough to go through every day. Since I started taking my hormones ( I'm self medicated as much as others on this site seem to condemn it ) I've personally felt considerably better and more comfortable.

I can't expect anyone, especially normal people to be able to keep up with the type of training I've been doing. As I do everything, I just jumped in one day and said "I'm going to learn this", my mother was convinced I was going to die. She said as much as she hated watching me ( Because when I first started, very simple things like a corkscrew spin-jump or a Wushu spin were difficult and I'd often times end up going up, up, up into the air only to come down. AND HARD. ) The back yard actually still has indentations where my body slammed into the dry ground so hard that it dented it in my shape.

When I started weapons training, I didn't start with training weapons; oh no. You see, in my opinion it's everything or nothing for all things. That includes weapons.. And I believe that if I train with a training sword, what have I prepared myself to wield? A training sword.. Eeexactly.

So I started right from the beginning training with LIVE weapons and believe me, I regretted my mistakes that I made and those mistakes ( As often as I was actually spurting blood from boning up a tiny little move that landed the blade of a sword in my leg, side, or arm ) and learned that perfection was the only thing that was going to keep me alright. So I focused more and more and today I can wield a live sword sharpened to razor perfection without the slightest worry of myself. I come inches of my own flesh without even caring because I no longer make mistakes.

In my experience my personal training regiment has also slimmed my body down from a stocky huge "Oh my god it's a brick wall" build to the more lithe build of an agile fighter. My hips ( even though I just started hormones and it has nothing to do with the hormones themselves ) actually rounded out a bit on their own from all the training I've been doing. Particularly emphasis on my legs with styles like Resshuken which has toned them up very nicely.

I would definitely agree, exercise is a must. But.. I'm guessing most people shouldn't ( or are probably too squeamish about pain ) to try my regiment. Heh.. I tend not to really care about pain, personally. It just excites me more and makes me train harder.

Mountain biking sound like a great idea! I'd better pump the tires up first lol ..it's been a while. :)

I do heaps of walking regularly as I don't have a car, I get around on 'Foot Falcon' lol

Not only is it good excercise, fuel prices are not an issue. ;)

Cycling ,mountainn climbing and lots of sit ups or crunches as they are now called. Only 5'6'' and 140 so looking girlish is easy enough if you stay in shape. When I'm not crossing I get to wear lycra and jerseys made of some modern material that feels femine and sexy. Plus I get to shave my legs and son't have to out myself to people I don't trust. Believe me there are a lot of them racists, sexists and homophobes.

Plus I don't eat anything after dinner, no matter how hungry I get. I figure this is America, I can go to bed hungry and wake up in the a.m. and eat to my heart's content.

So even though I am 60 plus I still look good in girlie clothes and cycling gear..

Just a short note from an old timer who ain't givin in to "the ages" without "raging against the storm." MIa

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Isaac Asimov, Albert Einstein and Robert Kennedy, in that order.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!
