Bohemian Rhapsody - the movie

My love suggested we go and see it, it was a dark  rainy day, so I agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by the acting and screen play, it rose above my expectations.

I laughed, I even cried, the movie took me back to those times, it was a worthwhile throwback, and I learned some things about the band not previously realized. For the movie, 1 and half thumbs up, entertaining.

Of course the subject of AIDS was brought up in the movie, a reminder of how humanity dealt with such things 35 + years ago.

No matter what they might say, I think Freddie and Queen totally rocks.

I love the band, the movie was pretty great too. I cried at the end, well I also cried at the end of A Star is Born too.

I do think there's a more gritty and dark film out there waiting to be made about Freddy's live. I think they made a very good movie for the angle they choosed.

Yes I agree.  I haven't seen it but all the reviews I've read or heard allude to this; that it's a happy film rather than completely true to form.  In a way that's fine for a mainstream movie as many people probably wouldn't want to know all that really went on, and it wouldn't be as profitable.

I cried during the "Star is Born" when Jackson's dog lies down in front of the closed garage after he hung himself. To make it worse, the dog in the move is Bradley Cooper's real dog! Pull on the heart strings.

Bohemian Rhapsody was transformational for me. I never knew the story about Freddie and Mary Ashton and the scene where he tells Mary he is gay only to find out she new already hit me hard and helped me come out to my family.

Wow ...
