Hello I'm 22, genetically male, but now secretly identify as Androgyne. I have cross dressed privately for a while not but have come to the conclusion that I prefer to be androgynous. I feel I'd be more comfortable. I have a long way to go and many question but found this place and it looks like an awesome place to be involved with! :)

I'm a bit confused now, but I hope that time here will make me understand a bit more and make some new friends.

Cheers,

Sonitne

Well, do come in!

Hi I'm Sally, 57 MTF early in a very slow transition, I lke to offer our new members refreshments - usually hot coco and my double chocolate chip cookies for the girls and pizza or cheesburgers for the boys - but we don't force anyone to adhere to that.

Just like in life gender isn't either or, it is a sliding scale with a place on it for everyone - so help yourself to what ever you would like - I'm in a cheeseburger mood myself - it is nearly luch time, but don't think I won't finish it off with a cookie or two.

The point is we are non judgmental around here, you can go all over the playground and post where ever you like - we are all here to help each other.

Now just sit her in the members lounge and people will come to say hi (as soon as the smell the food - that's the new member signal) :D

Love ya,

Sally

Hi and welcome Sonitne

What a lovely name. Hope you enjoy the forum as much as we all do

heh the name is actually just an anagram of another on line handle I use. To be honest I don't know how you would pronounce it.

WOW - look at the welcome!

Let me add WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!

I feel your confusion... and let me just say, don't worry about labels. You are just fine however you are. I am seriously senior like a few of us and I struggled for YEARS with my identity. I found out it is called gender dysphoria (Wikipedia that!). And there are a lot of us.

A gender specialist type therapist will help you beyond you wildest imagination! Oh yes...

There lies the key....

But look around and see what you see, ask questions, post answers. We value your opinions!

wow, thanks for the welcoming embrace, all :)

I'll look into a gender therapist when things calm down a bit here and I have a stable job situation.

I decided to join now because my gf was out of town and I went and dressed up in her clothes again. I told her about it once, that we could incorporate it into sex as it is a bit of a fetish as well for me. Gender role-play that is. But now I'm getting to the point where I want to change my appearance on a semi-permanent basis. I shaved off my beard and have cut my hair more androgynous like. My gf has said she likes me with the beard but I think I'm going to just explain I like it better. Something I'm not sure is true, I look better with the goatee in guy mode but as you would expect it does not fit well in girl mode. If only they could develop a retractable beard :P

Not sure what exactly to do.

Hello Sonitne, and welcome to Laura's!!!

I can tell you not only are you welcome, but I am very sure you will find the support and answers to your questions that you need...I've only been here for around 3 weeks (roughly), and from the gitgo I have found Laura's to be a most wonderful and very genuine place to be...you have probably been on other forums as I have, and I suspect that you have already found Laura's to be supportive, loving, embracing, and superior (I'm a little biased I think :) ) to anything else online...

Again, welcome, and I look forward very much to being your sister.

Love,

Meredith
