Hi all. I am new here. I am Mel, early 30's from East England. I am male to female trans, pre hormones, but doing some stuff to feminise myself (hair growth, electrolysis etc). I am out to some people, but not living as Mel yet. I am currently really questioning whether I am trully trans or not, or whether I am just confused, and/or its a weird sexualised internal brain association :( - I am one confused individual. Got a few different trans friends, but worried about fully opening up and talking about deeply personal stuff.

Anyway, here to talk, seek advice (especially about MtF trans teenage years, puberty and sexualised behaviour).

Greetings Melissa!  It is certainly common to question what is happening and what's it all about.  You're in the right place to open up and talk.  As you've no doubt read, if you question your gender you are somewhere on the transgender spectrum.  Cis-gender folks never ask these questions.

I understand the GIC process can be quite long to get into.  But sign up now if you haven't so to get on the list.  As to your questions about puberty, starting HRT will throw your mind and body into the puberty stage.  It can be a fun time yet scary too. (mostly fun!)  I think the general consensus is the sexualized behaviours and fantasies will melt away as this new "life" becomes normalized.  Living as you wish will no longer be taboo.

Anyway, please join in the conversation!

Cheers, Jani

Welcome to Trans Pulse, Melissa.  Yes,confusion and doubt are common at the beginning of this journey, but you seem to be doing all the right things.  I know its a long wait, but please be patient and you'll get to where you need to be.  In the meantime, look around the forums, ask questions and participate to the extent you are comfortable.

HUGS

Hi Mel, welcome ?

As people have said, please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions or are unsure of process here in the Uk. There is information online from the NHS and others and people with experience here.

Welcome Mel.

I was much older when i reached out for help in self understanding.  We can help each other.  Have you looked for the help of a therapist.  It certainly helped me.

Hugs,

Charlize

Welcome! You found a great place to talk, seek advice and much much more! Talking and seeking advice from here, a gender therapist, and my doctor has really helped me more that I can really express. A gender therapist and anyone qualified to talk to can really help. LGBTQ groups/ organizations can help too.

In your Journey, you might have some ups and downs, just like the rest of us, so try not to be discouraged during the difficult times. Enjoy the baby steps, each and every one of them. Follow your heart, you have these feelings and thoughts for a reason, let them flow. Just cause you might not understand them, doesn’t mean it’s not real, it’s all a learning process. I wish I could have been able to work through my journey at a younger age, but very happy that I am doing it now. Better late than never. Others might tell you how you you should think, or what to do, only you truly know, and can make your own decisions.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
