Neopronouns...

Recommended Posts

Hi so I made an account on here when I first came out as trans but didn't really care to continuously check this forum. I'm bigger on discords than I am forums (I think I'm on the discord too).

So I know that MOGAI-type genders are controversial but I identify as digigender. My gender is actually the .csv filetype (really, more generally, a database, as I find solace in collecting and indexing data, and find extreme peace in processing data, all the way down to my core--I really resonate with data structures). I've decided to use my own set of pronouns, file/file/files/files/fileself (File is a database. Data collection means a lot to file. It is files wishes to be seen as a data structure. One of files interest is programming. File has taken it up to fileself to learn as much about programming as file possibly could).

For others that use their own made up pronoun set, how do you get others to start using it? I'm really scared to tell people to use these pronouns else nobody would take me seriously.

I'm sorry Tetris I understand enjoying computers and programming and even being able to be more of yourself online than in real life, but I do not understand, your gender is comma separated values?  What are MOGAI-type genders? Genuinely curious as I have never heard of them.

Yes, I identify very strongly with databases. The concept of them, particularly the plaintext .csv database. So I don't necessarily identify as like... a literal table, ya know. More like the *concept* of a database. What a database stands for, what it's used in, the structure of the database. All of these... resonate with me in a way I can't describe. When I see a well formatted data file, in a way I can't help but to see myself in it. It's really hard to describe. I wish I could.

MOGAI (I forget what it stands for) genders are the spectrum of genders that are the ones 4-chan typically tries to troll. The ones that people say are "made up" and are "Tumblr genders."

For example if you search digigender on Deviant Art, you'll get a flag and a description as part of a network of other MOGAI genders. Digigender is best described to be a digital gender, one where your identity resonates deeply (or you are kin with) something digital like a file format (in my case, a .csv), email, software, or anything else digital-related.

Okay, I can sort of see what you are trying to say but would have to look into it more to understand more. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. ? I don't want to hijack the thread, so I hope you find the answers you are looking for regarding pronouns.

I'd be happy to explain more later. I just need to sleep now. Forgot that I had classes today and stayed up programming a Discord bot lmao

Well yeah, it's mostly out of familiarity. It's more the "database" I identify with as opposed to the CSV directly. I am yet to learn JSON or SQL but I intend to. But part of why I really like CSV is *because* it's so simple. It's data in its rawest form. Its most abstract, baseline form. It'd be difficult to express data any simpler than that. I could represent all this data graphically, couldn't I? And yes, while linear regression machine learning models *are* attractive in their own sense, they lack the poetry that a simple CSV holds. Through all that simplistic data being displayed comes a hidden pattern. The numbers hold the answers to questions we didn't even know we had. While JSON and SQL are objectively better data structures, there's simply something about how raw CSVs are that I love. All it is is just strings and numbers separated by commas. That's all it is on the surface... but the hidden, underlying structure behind those strings and numbers is what makes me swoon. So beautiful, and I feel it to my core. All databases really capture my attention, but it's the simplicity of CSV that really makes me love it.

It's hard to explain why I consider myself a database. On one hand, it's a kin thing. I'm very, very kin with numbers, data, and data structures in a way I'm really incapable of putting into words. On the other hand, we're all data structures, in a way. We're all a database of the sum total of things we've learned in life. In many ways, the way I organize my mental structures are closer to a tree rather than a CSV (as is with most people), but I find if I mentally store parameter-based data in a mental csv, I'm able to remember things FAR better. More accurately, in a mental struct.

I'm well aware of how neural networks work lmao I know how to program NNs. I was more talking in a philosophical sense.

Nah I didn't take it the wrong way. I was just clarifying I meant what I said in a philosophical sense and not in a literal sense hehe

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷
