So what's stuck in your head right now?

I have two songs stuck in my head, one is Hetalia's Marukaite Chikyuu (I'm not going to post a link to it - I'll save your poor brains), and the other is The Killers' Mr. Brightside. Don't ask my how I have both stuck in my head at the same time... I'm not really sure.

Woah, lots of Japanophiles (term not used offensively) here.

@Neuro: YES. HETALIA IS WIN, EPICEPICWIN. I LOOOOOVE ITALY. So adorable. /sidetracked. Let's all toast with our boots!

@NeverSayNever: What series is that from? I've never heard/ don't remember the title of the song....

@Leigh: The Beatles are awesome. 'Nuff Said.

@Chelsea9: I've never heard of either of those songs, but they sound interesting so I willlllll!

Well a few months ago in a topic about superheroes Evan said something that made me hunt down a recording of the old cartoon theme for the "Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman" and I haven't been able to shake that but when Leigh mentioned the Beatles and I have been in the Spirituality section - "Rocky Raccoon" came to mind.

So I'm easily suggestible when it comes to music.

Love ya,

Sally

Don't even mention that song - I was in Disney World a long time ago and a sudden down pour sent us racing for cover - the closest spot with enough room for us and all of my camera gear was the Small World ride - that song never stops!

It goes on and on, I would have stood in the rain if not for my cameras - where is the merciful release that comes after the waterboarding - there is none from the Small World.

I tried to think of Bach's "Come Sweet Death" but those horrible children sang on!

That was the worst month of my life and the storm only lasted 20 minutes!

I can hear it again - OMG! :o

Thanks, Lizzy

Love ya,

Sally

My dad and uncle got stuck on "It's a small world" for three hours - my cousins and I like to torture them by singing it to them when we all get together.... Ah, fun memories.

@Zajabr - That is an awesome song <3 That, and Nine and the Afternoon.

@Lizzy - Hey Jude is also an amazing song. I named my friend Jude just cause she reminded me of the song.

Michiyuki is Loveless' ending theme, right NeverSayNever? I think. Possibly.

Yep. It's from Loveless.

Do you like Loveless, Neuro?

It's commencement season here. By my calculations, I have heard "Pomp and Circumstance" on repeat for approximately 5.5-6 hours in the last week. The whole thing is only about 6 minutes long, so I heard that song 55-60 times between last Sunday and Wednesday.

...eesh.

"It's a Small World" is bad, but "Pomp and Circumstance" has got to be right up there.

Now just look what you've done - "Pomp and Circumstance" - did Elgar write anything else, was it as boring?

Almost 60 graduation ceremonies in the 'pit' graduating and for family members.

And the worst part is only the introduction is very good and it isn;t in the part that gets repeated - arrrggghhh!

I am so glad that I went to a private college - a UT graduation could last for days!

"Nimrod"! Elgar wrote "Nimrod"! It's a great piece. No brass parts though... :( This orchestra I was playing with once played it, so I heard it a lot while they were rehearsing it.

I have this nagging feeling I've played something else by him, but I can't remember.

There's a part of "Pomp and Circumstance" that always makes me feel like I'm in a film like, but I can't remember which part exactly, and I'm not going to go check 'cause that would require listening to it again.

Instanbul not Constantinople

It's such a ridiculous song. "If you have a date in Constantinople, she'd be waiting in Istanbul." But I love They Might Be Giants soooo much!

I once sang a piece of Elgar's called As Torrents in Summer, which I enjoyed very much. There seem to be a number of bad renditions of it on YouTube. I'll let you know if I find one I like, or if I locate the recording by the choir I was in.

I lived with a They Might Be Giants fanatic for a year. They certainly have recorded a great deal of music! That former roommate of mine made

using their song Dinner Bell, which was in my head for a week not so long ago.

Today the song in my head has been On the Verge by Terence Blanchard. Anyone who likes some good jazz trumpet (hint hint, Sally) would probably enjoy Mr. Blanchard's music.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

Congratulations Sam,   The common saying her once someone starts HRT is: “Enjoy the ride.”   Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.

While the Soviet Union did not end up being the source of all evil, I believe that history has shown that Joe McCarthy generally was right. There ARE all kinds of Marxists slithering around. And if that had been dealt with firmly 75 years ago (or more) the nation wouldn't be in the shape that it's in now.    And while I generally oppose the idea of intervening in foreign affairs, the world probably would have been better off if we had taken care of issues in Russia and defeated the Bolshevik Menace back in 1919. God bless the memory of Admiral Kolchak.   Getting back to project 2025, my belief is that Republican efforts are inappropriately focused on trans folks. A minority of a minority does not wreck a nation. But it is easier to focus on trans folks because they can look like they're doing something. They don't have to address the real problems, and really they don't want to address them because they would have to address themselves.  They would also need to admit that the 50 State version of the USA cannot be saved.
