I am feeling

Better... idk why i been convincing myself that i am not trans for far to long. I guess it mainly do my family and friends thinking down on me. Most of them are Christian. (I don't hate Christians or anything, but most of my family and friends, trans as being bad and unnatural.) My dad wants me to have children, but i honestly don't think i could handle that. I feel as if i been in more distress then i am already in. Then again my dad thinks i have DID and am not trans. Which i don't. my psychologist can tell you. And he doesnt thing i have schizoafftive disorder. And thinkings my psychologist is just trying to me resent him. When i don't like him for what he done in the past to me with taking my money. 

 

My faincee is fine with me choosing what i want in life. I am so glad to have him. 

He will to let me deside things for myself. When i didn't have that choice as a kid. 

Anyway i just wanted to give you a quite update. I do feel better about myself.

I'm glad you are feeling better about yourself Branden, something we all have to deal with is family attitudes. We have to understand that in spite of it all they mean well even though they can't wrap their heads around the directions and choices we make in our own lives. As adults we always have the option to move on if they insist on making things toxic for us. My own counselor once said, "We can't choose our family, but we can choose our friends!" In some cases our friends eventually become our family and we go on with our lives.

Totally agree with @NB Adult here. Your found family is more important than your blood family. It's hard for people in certain religious communities to come around to accepting LGBTQ+ people as, well, people. There's a big difference in people who claim to be "Christian" for example and people who actually live their lives according to the teachings of Jesus. Especially in any church that pronounces it, "Jay-ZUS." I'm off topic, so before this turns into a rant...

 

I'm glad you feel better about yourself. Living authentically takes courage, but it also relieves a lot of stress. It sounds like your fiance is supportive, so that's good. I won't say you can live on love, but you can put up with a lot if there's someone who loves you with all their heart in your corner.

 

Besides, if you want kids later, there are a ton of kids out there who need to be adopted into a loving home. I think we put way too much emphasis on blood relations in this country. Be yourself. Be happy.

I agree with Jackie and NBAdult. I have a birth or biological family, these are the people I am biologically related to and then I have a family.  My family consists of biological relatives I am close with, friends of my parents who I grew up with calling them aunt or uncle, and my closest friends. My family has changed throughout the years as people became more or less important in my life. It always in a state of flux. I am not out to anyone other than my wife and doctors, but I hope as I do come out, my family will remain as is or even grow. Either way though, I will always have a family.
