I can't vouch for how good this is going to be, but here goes.

Personally, I started with a therapist. You're only 14 though (oh good, high school. High schools have counselors), so my first avenue of attack would be the school counselor. They ought to be trained in what to do when a student comes to them for help.

Your mother is going to be tougher. I've personally experienced my egg donor denying my condition and calling all the professionals who've helped me along the way, "Liars and thieves after my money." You'd think if they were just after my money, there wouldn't be so many hoops to jump though, right?

You might be able to get your mother to agree to a gender therapist on the grounds of your "confusion." We both know you're probably not confused, but that's what she needs to hear. Once you have a gender therapist, you've got another ally. I'm not privy to how the legal side of things works in Ohio, especially for minors, but a good gender therapist ... or maybe even a bad one, I've only seen two. That's not a valid sample size ... Anyway, a gender therapist can help guide you through the system to get what you need.

On the plus side, once you've talked to your gender therapist he (or she, all of my therapists have been women but I prefer female doctors) can help talk with your parents. They might be more accepting of your situation after they hear it from somebody in a position of authority. Once you've talked to a gender therapist and maybe your school counselor (mine was rubbish, I hope yours is better), you might be able to get the help you need.

Worst case, you have to hold out until you're eighteen. I completely understand how much that sucks, but unless your mom's on-board, you're stuck until you're independent of her.

You will have to wait until you're eighteen for GCS though. You might also have to wait a bit for hormones. Assuming you get through the other hurdles ... ok, assuming you get past your mom ... your endocrinologist will have an opinion on what it's safe to give you and when.

We'll be expecting regular updates. ?

Hugs!
