Any thoughts on 'Female Erasure'?

I started to read it with my mind set on masochistic mode and the forewords were totally transphobic and filed with lies. 

 

The first chapter was actually really intriguing with that research of prehistoric matriarchat and it real role of build up of the society.

 

Now I am reading the second chapter and it's kind of intense and I am waiting for the 'rabbit/transphobia/ to jump out of the hat'. 

 

Have any of you read the book and your thoughts about it?

I kind of agree with @MaryMary here. I looked at the book on Amazon. I read a bunch of reviews. I don't hate myself that much anymore. That's probably a good thing.

If it becomes unbearable it's sure that I might not continue reading it. As I said for now the forewords from Ruth Barrett and Germaine Greer (we know who the second one is for sure) are the transphobic part, but I am at the beigining. 

 

So I prepared the antidotes, as well: Julia Serano's classic "Whipping Girl" and my own counter-points review at Medium.

Okay! 

At this point it's (the book) really down to this: 

- I hate myself for being a woman or else because I am oppressed, but I love my vagina, no matter how much of a tool for oppression is, but I hate being a woman.;
- We need to erase gender and go back to be simple mammals with genitals, which means females will still be at the bottom;
- I am obsessed with my genitals and others, as well;
- I hate men, men have their experience; It doesn't matter that some trans women fake man experience to survive (like me) 
- We love our fake womyn only spaces, created, approved and sponsored by the sexists that oppress us;
- Let's blame everything on the trans women because they are "men" in our perception and we are dumb enough to want to limit everything to bio sex; 

and more and more and more... absurd after absurd after absurd...

I stuck on Gallus Mag and her "erasure of women" part of the pie... Sheila Jeffreys is the next one... But I really need a long rest!

Thank you Jackie, but at some point it really becomes a pain- in - you - know - where. But it's the same  hatered and lies again and againq so you kind of get used, immune to that poison.

Actually, we can naever be "fully" used to that poison. It will always do some damage...
