Missing something

So a bit of back story for those who don’t know.  I had foolishly self medicated hrt on and off for about 2 years.  More off then on but I did experience changes.  First Let me say I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing this without a doctors supervision.  It was extremely dangerous and even life threatening so just don’t do it.
However during that time one change was breast tenderness.  Really sore and the nipples felt itchy and like ants were crawling around just under the skin.  This basically meant I was experiencing development like cis girls going through puberty.

Ok fast forward to now.  I am on doctor supervised hrt full time.  I am waiting on this soreness to happen again but it does not seem to be cooperating.  I certainly did not experience full breast growth back then.   I know breast development can take a couple years of hrt too.
Will I get to the soreness stage again or will I just have slow development from here on out.?

Yes you are correct that it takes time.  You will probably get sore at some point.  With me it would come and go.   You and I are different.  If took some time for me and I am not a busty type.  I got what I got.  Remember that puberty is a multiple year process and you cannot speed it up.  Nor can you predict the results.  There are plenty of women with less than full chests, just as there are many that are busting out of their brassieres.  As we know there are medical procedures to fix both issues, if that's whats needed!

Give it time!

The answer is most likely YES, you will get one or the other.  The nipple soreness the first time could have been from allergy sources to the phytoestrogens, and the plants they came from.  Every person is so different that it will be impossible to tell what will happen, and things can act differently throughout our transitions.  I have had many adventures over my time that left me shaking my head about them as to how I survived.

Everything is getting sore on my chest!   I can’t believe I missed this.  It kinda hurts....   lol

Funny how much i "enjoyed" that hurt.  No....i'm not a masochist.  I was so happy to know a change was taking place.  I still feel an ache from time to time and perhaps i'm still growing.

Hugs,

Maybe mind over matter.

I too had taken the stealth way self medicating. DO NOT  DO IT. I think it may have caused or at least contributed to my blood clots. Still haven't told my Dr's. So it is my own fault that I goofed up my chance on prescribed HRT.  I am not sure if it caused my slight boobs or not. Maybe it was older age.  Maybe if I come clean with my Dr. She may be able to start me on a supervised prescribed HRT.

Oh yes I do this a lot!  LOL

Couple over thinking with being overly impatient.  I am a mess at times.

This was the advice I had gotten here on this forum when I had admitted to you all about self medicating, way before I first went to see my therapist.  It was among the first things I told him. He recommended me to a few doctors and wrote a recommendation to start HRT asap.  The doctors asked about my history and I told them the whole sorted mess about on and off for a few years.  Things progressed nicely for me after that.

DO NOT keep things from your doctors is my advice.

I will do that with my therapist on my next visit. May also message my GYN too.or see if I can get in for a quick discussion.  She is the one managing my transition meds.
