Confidence...with A Capital C

Having lived a hetro lifestyle in my past life,

I was slow to make eye contact with men in my real life.

I found out early,if I didn't make eye contact with others in public,

I felt less stressful about(if)I passed.As my body started taking on

the attributes of a woman,I slowly gained in confidence in my abilty

to slide on by and be preceived as a woman in others eyes.

Yesterday,I for the first time,made hard eye contact with a man.

I had gone to the IceHouse,(convenience store),for a few items I

needed.The clerk was standoffish at the start of my transaction.

I was cool and kept a smile on my face,chatting with him,like any

woman would,who finds a man attractive.He went from being kinda

rude,to not being sure,to being friendly,thanking me for my business

and to please come back again.Looking me in the eyes,really checking

me out,smiling as he said it.Now that was a giant step forward for me.

And that is building my Confidence,with a captial C.(smile)
