So to keep it somewhat short. A lovely young , well younger then me, lady sent me a message early this AM.  She asked me if I knew Jeff. Who is my brother so I say I do and ask her who she was?  I have never met her but she knew me through my brothers.  So she introduces herself and we chat for like two hours. Just sharing things but nothing to deep.  We grew up in the same town and she apparently knows both my brothers and my sister.  A ton of the same people so I felt comfortable sharing.
So she then asks me what my story is she would love to know.  I assume about me being trans.  So I said what the heck and shared.  She asks me a ton of good questions as was in general very kind and very interested in it all.
So it’s getting on in the morning and we both had stuff to do so she asks me if it would be ok to get a friend request from her.  Yes I’m ok with that.  She then asks me out on a date.
?????
Of course it is delayed until the virus lets us all out again but I accepted.  ?
I admit I find her very attractive.  She had mentioned how young I look and how very pretty she though I was.  She couldn’t believe it was really me.
I said it really was and then we had to go.

Wow is all I can say.  Ive said I’m not ready to date now and that’s true.  But this virus could delay that for quite some time so I thought why not.  By then my divorce will be final so I’m free game.  Lol

What a nice, refreshing story!  Too bad about having to wait out the virus, but I hope you have a good time when you eventually get together.

Hate to thrown water on the fire but it sounds fishy how she came to know you and then asking for your "story".  Weird to me.  A flag would have gone up.

Hey ShawnaLeigh,  This sounds interesting and who knows what possibilities it may present down the road.  I’d be a little cautious though, as Jani mentioned but there’s no reason you can’t get to know her a little (virtually) during this pandemic.  I would be a little concerned about giving her any personal information before checking her out a bit more.  Have you crosschecked some of the information she provided you with your brothers?  Look for discrepancies or vague details. You’re a big girl so I’m sure you know all this. I’m just always over-cautious and it’s done pretty well for me over the years.  Not having a Facebook or Twitter acct. has probably saved me a lot of trouble over the years.

My Best,

I certainly put folks to the question Right up front now.  I just don’t friend them. I was satisfied how she knew me through my brothers.  I was fairly stuck up in high school bring a popular jock type  so I never knew half the people tho knew me. Sad but true.  I admit it.
I have run across so many people from high school Over the years and  I have no idea who they are.  My company director is one of these people.  Lol

oh he knew exactly who I was when I came into interview.  Lol

Thank you for your suspicion though.  It’s healthy for us to have them.

Th  as no you Susan.  Yes I did. First thing I did was check with my brothers.  They confirmed who she was and one brother got a tad jealous over her being interested in me. Lol

Apparently he tried to date her once upon a time.  But she Wouldn’t give him the time of day.
Dhe never came off as to nksey nor just fired question after question.  She talked about herself d as Nd her grand kids a lot.  Cute little buggers.
it was a pleasant talk AAC Nd fun to get to know her as it is now.  I did not expect her to ask me out though.  I never see these things coming.  Though I’m my defense I did not get the benefit  of eye and body language either. Just texting.

Omg I hate autocorrect!?

Oooh, I thought you were just practicing typing with your elbows, hon..lol ? I put your post through google translate and it came back with an error “can not distinguish language” so I gave up...<kidding>

Seriously though...sounds like she is the real deal but might be just a little curious..maybe she had a crush on you back then while dating your brother.  This girl you’re texting with could become a potential friend...who knows...maybe more.  I would also be cautious about getting too deep while your still living with your wife.  That stuff never goes over well with spouses....even if you‘ve become roommates, so to speak.

Certainly!  I am not ready to date nor able to currently.  As exciting as these occurrences have been this past week I simply can not pursue any of them right now.  I’m in a failing and slowly fading marriage but I still love her.  Which obviously makes thing hard for me.  I do not want anything like this to hurt her even though others say its her own fault for not wanting me anymore.  i don’t see things like that.  It not fair to think that way.  Jmo

That goes double from me.

My roommate complains bitterly if guys call me, stating she doesn't like when men are hitting on/flirting with me. Which is really frustrating, because I rarely get any attention from anyone, and guys paying any attention to me really picques my curiousity.

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3

That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Congratulations! and Happy Trans Birthday @LittleSam! That is such a BIG milestone.  I can still remember walking out of my clinic with my first HRT presciption.  I was on Cloud-9.  Wishing you all the best in the start of your new Journey!

maebe thank you I try to be. I thank God for blessings, try to share them, beg forgiveness for my shortcomings n vow to try to do better...2 priests have said no, God doesn't condemn you just for being trans...but apparently evangelicals do   I shall vtry dear thank you

Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

and just fi sweeten it..I'm catholic n he hasn't been for years..he's evangelical..whatever that is

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.

Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable

As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
