Hello to everyone here at Laura's. Now where to start...huh.

Well I'm currently 16 biological male by the time of this post and trying to pinpoint my identity has a slightly feminine male or MTF transsexual.

I'm a bit of nerd, really enjoy learning about history and is currently trying to learn a second language through self-teaching software - I also enjoy watching anime/reading manga like so many on Laura's as it seems. :P

Uh...I don't really mind anyone using gender-specific pronouns or any for me currently, I suppose you can call me a he or she at will.

Hope to get to know people in this community and to come to a conclusion!

Sincerely, PowerToTheSocks.

P.S. I know, random username.

Well, Good morning, PTTS!

Good to have you here!

I hope that you can work on your gender identity problems and figure out just where you fit in...we all know what that's like!

So...Here...Have some nice hot coco and a plate of Sally's cookies and we'll get you settled in and comfortable...

Many of the others will by to say "Hi" in a bit.....OK?

Hi Power To The Socks,

Welcome to the Playground! This is the greatest place in the world! Take your time to look around, ask questions, and talk to people. By the way, I really enjoy your username :P

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME

And as you can see from my avatar some of us older love anime and manga!

So look around and see what a diverse group of people we are. It's g-rated (Laura says PG-13) and well moderated so you should be protected. And post some - and ask some questions - and be sure to look in the Teen Forum - there are a ton of good people in there - smart and willing to help you.

@Donna: I would love some coco, it's always nice to have mods be very responsive to the community they...moderate. I have lurked for some time and I find that you are very supportive and understanding to almost everyone - that being said I want to point out that I'm not sucking up. >.>

@Joe: Thanks! In all honestly I fail at coming up with usernames - I made up this on a whim.

@Leo: It is a great place! I'm feeling pretty well actually, what's going on in there in UK?

@Pól: I'm currently attempting to learn Japanese as the otaku that I am is wanting to but I hope to learn German, Chinese and a few others from my planned career path as a teacher. I'm not familiar with Irish names, I'm curious if your family is from Poland or Eastern Europe? The little ' seems rather common in names that originate from that area.

@Lizzy: Of course! I have been looking around and know I should not divulge too much information or pictures. There are some good people there too, I even found some advice that relates to my situation from here and quite a few other sites.

@Everyone before and after this post: So happy to join such a great, supportive, smart group of people!

I know nothing about Japanese, but cool! It looks hard to learn to me, but more power to you like.

Poland or Eastern Europe? No, I'm Irish, lol.

Pól anglicises to Paul, I believe. Lots of Irish names have fadas, like Seán or Róisín. Actually, if you leave the fada off the a in "Seán" it means "old." It's just part of the spelling.

'Sup, Nikk? I honestly didn't expect such early resonses with this username or even the topic...that's a good sign.

Of course you're into anime - James avatar and an open confession? C'mon. :P

Ah, sorry. I've haven't seen the fada (?) that often with Irish people I've known, pretty much seemed reserved for Eastern Europe. >.>

With Japanese, it is kind of hard with the speaking grammar with individuals or specific objects as well as the writings, even katakana is just freaky and hard to identify basic characters - kanji is hell - I'm only on the basics of Rosetta Stone too...going to be a long journey.

Hello Power To The Socks,

I am sorry that I am so late getting here - I maybe 57 but I live in the same town as my late 80s parents and today was endless doctor visits day and I got to do the driving!

I see that Donna Jean got you some refreshments, if you need anything baked (or half baked ;) ) just let me know, I'm the virtual baker here.

I see that you have met a lot of the friendly folks here and there will be more as the rotation of the Earth brings light to other countries - we are multi national here and our New Zwaland and Australians tend to populate what is late night for us.

Sit back and "Watch the Rest of the World go by", sorry, I'm a musician and everything is a song cue.

Love ya,

Sally (the Playground's version of the Keebler Elves)

Your username is the best thing in the history of things that has ever existed.

On that subject, welcome to Laura's!

I am a history nerd and major otaku (fan of anime and such) as well, so if you ever wanna chat about stuff like that, that's cool! >:D

You like to learn languages--I am learning Japanese, but when I get into collage I want to learn German as well. I learned the katakana and hirigana, but--kanji is EVIL FFFFFFFFF

I hope you make a lot of posts and get to know everyone, 'cause this is a great neighborhood around here! everyone is really nice and helpful, so if you have any questions at all feel free to ask anyone. You can also offer your own advice as well! >w0b

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

In this case the MAGA GOP transphobes Just my opinion of course

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.
