Trans and Gnc artists

Hi Friends,

 

Just wondering who has suggestions for Trans artists. I saw a similar post but it was archived. Right now I am addicted to June Jones, and her band Two Steps on the Water. I relate so much to her lyrics about mental illness and just being trans in general. Also wanna shamelessly plug Duah Saleh, Hand Habits, and Elz. Who should i give a listen? My apartment needs a good cleaning and Im gunna kick out the jams.

A long time Trans artist that I know of is Jennifer Jane Leitham who is a Bass Viol player who has been with actual name bands.  She had written a book about her musical career titled I Stand Corrected.

One of my faves is the punk band Against Me! with the trans lead Laura Jane Grace. The Cliks, with trans front man Lucas Silveira. Shea Diamond. Skylar Kergil. There's more, I'll add them later. Time to make something to eat.

Thanks for the suggestions : ) I will check them out. Jennifer Jane Leitham sounds interesting, I studied double bass in college. I should get cooking too....

Some more: Ah-Mer-Ah-Su, a fun electric poppy artist; Ryan Cassata for some youthful punky and upbeat vibes; Anohni has won some awards, but not my sound; no idea how I missed Kim Petras the first time round.

Shea Daimond, she is just powerful!

 

Syklar Kergil, "Tell me a story"  is in my opinion a contender for the transmasc anthem and if my memory serves correctly a single word change and it would work for transfemme as well.
