Kids book recs?

I have a 3 year old and I'm looking for books to help her understand my trans-ness. I haven't told her yet but I'd like to order a few books to put down more of a foundation. Does anyone have any recommendations? The only one I can think of for her age is Jack, Not Jackie, which we got from the library once and she loved so I'm definitely getting that.

Actually there is quite a list coming these days.  I have been buying kids books even though my grand kids are in their teens.

 

RED A Crayon's Story ---  Not wholly Trans, but diversity awareness and discovery.

I am Jazz, --- By Jazz Jennings -her own story in pre teens

It's OK to Sparkle --- Avery Jackson (who was a cover child on National Geographic)

 

Those are the first three I can put my hands on, but over on Amazon, they have the "People who have bought these also bought___________. "

Oh thanks for the reminder! I almost never buy books on Amazon so it didn't occur to me that that feature could be helpful here. I wish I could find something about a parent transitioning.

If you're pressed for time, look specifically for "My New Daddy" by Lilly Mossiano, Spun Silver Productions. Ages 3-7.

Have you read that one? I'm always nervous about buying self-published books about sensitive topics since they don't necessarily go through any sort of screening/editing and I don't see any reviews on Amazon. The description for the "My Mommy is a Boy" one uses she/her pronouns until it gets to "she got surgery so she could be a boy" and I definitely don't want a book that misgenders the dad!
