Surgery went well - breast augmentation went fine. Ended up not needing to place a catheter nor any vaginal packing. I’ll start dilating tomorrow to see how things go.

Got back to the hotel about 4CST. So far I haven’t needed any pain medications. But I may take one before bed. I just got up and walked around. The nausea is something fierce though. Have not see. My breast yet, but I’ll see them for sure Thursdayo next week. Until then, I’m just laying around in my compression socks and night gowns!

Plan is for me to have the augmentation and revision done simultaneously.

Hi @Kylie, Congratulations on getting through that. Wish mine was done simultaneously. What a times saver among other things. That’s amazing that you got to skip the catheter altogether. I hated that part. Hope your pain management is going well too with no complications.

Great update! I am so happy for you!!😁

So far my pain has been minimal. I’m just honestly sore. Hopefully I don’t have any issues this time! Can not wait to see my new boobs Thursday.

Curious @Kylie…Did they give you a combination of nerve blocks and the epidural or just the nerve blocks?

They put me under general anesthesia for the procedure. @Susan R

Yes, of course, I assumed that but are you numb in certain areas of the revision area and could you walk after leaving the recovery room?

Link to comment

I had some pain I. Recovery, they gave me some pain medication and I felt good enough to walk. I feel okay overall. I start dilating today, so we shall see how it goes! I’ve taken 3 oxycodone the last 8 hours. Primarily just soreness in my chest and vaginal area where they did some reconstruction.

Im just trying to be super careful! But I am surprised how well I feel given all that they did.

I feel like once you make it through GCS I felt my pain tolerance is so much higher. I can stand a lot now.

I don't know, my GCS pain wasn't really that bad. I didn't MOVE real fast, but the time I broke my short ribs hurt WAY worse.

I didn't have much pain for my revision either. May you continue to have minimal pain with maximum results.

Hugs!

2 Days Post op Breast Augmentation and GCS Revision

I will say this has been a lot easier to recover from than I imagined. My chest is super tight and I’m just uncomfortable, but I wouldn’t call it pain. It is just annoying. So, I will say the augmentation has been super easy to recover from.

The GCS revision surgery has not been bad. I started back dilating yesterday. It is much more manageable now, I think I just have some swelling so it feels awkward to dilate. Guess I’m back to dilating twice a day for a few months so I can keep things right hopefully.

All in all, this has been much easier than expected! But definitely don’t see myself doing anything for another week or so.

Yeah, the dilation right after surgery was weird for me too. It's challenging and a little scary thinking, "OK, what am I sticking this into?" I think it makes it a little harder to relax as well.

@Jackie C. Right! I’m like am I tearing it all up or what. Then seeing blood after not seeing it for a year just stresses me out. But I think dilating easier now. Going to be exhausting to go back to 2-3 times a day. Time flies though!!

Fantastic! Getting back into the routine helps. Of course my dumb butt started with, "OK, sure, but can we go bigger?" and now I'm dilating with the orange one. I identify as lesbian. Gay AF, but my stupid dysphoria keeps saying, "No! We have to be able to be penetrated by a telephone pole!"

Do not envy you the 2-3 times a day. Though you'll be down to every other day again before you know it.

Hugs!

Today is the day I go for my post op appointment for the big boob reveal! I’ve had the ace bandages on for a week, so I’m ready for it to come off. After the reveal, I’ll shower then head to airport to head home after my 8 day stay here in Texas.

I will say, the breast augmentation really didn’t cause any pain, just more of a sore feeling. My revision has been a lot more sore than anything. I’m just glad to be dilating normally again. I’m going to work hard and hope this new post op plan prevents any scarring.

Finally arrived back home safe!

Love my new boobs for sure!

After my appointment with my Surgeon…somehow additional surgical discussion come up, so now I have a consult in June for some small facial surgery and body contouring procedures. So here is to the next adventure!

But overall, extremely pleased with my augmentation outcome..and this revision surgery seems to have helped tremendously with my scar tissue!

Update!

Breast augmentation healing has went wonderful. I was so surprised how painless the augmentation actually was. I love the results. I have not been measured yet for a bra as I’m following surgeon instructions and wearing a sports bra for a bit. But plan to go get fitted next week. I’m went from wearing a Medium sports bra prior to a 3X now. So I’m guessing I’m a DD.

My 2nd GCS revision has been life changing. Dilation has been a breeze. I went from only being able to use an extra small dilator to using the green soul source dilator.  It looks as if I’ll start using the orange one next week.

This all goes to say that it gets better! Two years of struggle with scar contractures and two revisions later it has improved!

Nice! The orange one is kind of a bugger, but it feels good just to be able to do it. I mean I'll never NEED it but...

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?
    • RaineOnYourParade
Congrats to your family on the new addition!

Funny you think that I would be able to get through more than two sentences with how bad my stutter gets (joking, of course)   My topic would probably be mythology, random Japan factoids in my mind, or a favorite story   (Best option would be a fave story of mine including a lot of factoids on Japanese myths-)
