Hi all hope you were doing well!

I have adopted as my theme the theme from Star Trek enterprise.(Sorry I don’t have a link). Whatever you may think of the series the theme is a good one. Hope you can find it and listen to it it has a lot of meaning.

Big hug to everyone!

Willa

So glad you asked...This song has been in my head all day.

One great thing about zeroing in on your true self...is letting go of everything you're not.

Today I made the calls I needed to make in the morning and have spent the rest of the day cuddling my Schnauzer, but the whole day I have been myself - so would almost be this:

But am closer to this:

So I recently decided to watch Frozen 2, and a few songs spoke to me to anybody going through a transformation. One in particular speaks to me today: Show Yourself.

Good Choice @QuestioningAmber one I found today that speaks to me is an old song I never thought of as trans ....

I looked in the mirror and didn't like who I saw but not I see the light

Patto-Jones-Wright

I looked into the mirror and it poisoned my mind twice
It left me both time crippled
And it tossed my fate like dice

I looked into the mirror and the devil smiled both times
My flesh was sold with no feelings
With no reason or rhyme

The smile on my face gave way to my feeling
But only time was there to tell
Somewhere in space my thoughts are still reeling
The miror looked through hell
And damned me where I fell

You mistreated the boxer
You held his spirit down
(Yes she did, yes she did, yes she did, yes she did)
You colored his reflection
'Cause you didn't like his sound

But now my head is clearing
And I'm startin' to see the light
(see the light, see the light, see the light, see the light)
Now I'm lookin' to the mirror
And I don't know if it's day or night

The smile on my face gave way to my feeling
But only time was there to tell
Somewhere in space my thoughts are still reeling
The miror looked through hell
And damned me where I fell

See the light, see the light, see the light, see the light...

MISPRINT above - I now see the light

I looked in the mirror and I didn't like the person I saw - but now - thank goodness - I am seeing the light and the light is helping me see the real me.................................

Wow, @Shay...Sledgehammer, Higher Love, That's All...you really know how to make an 80's girl feel at home! I may have been born in '81, but there's no doubt in my mind that "The Mirror" song from Spooky Tooth would've been a big deal for me had I been around in the 70's. Very impressive!

Everyone seems to to go straight to "Radar Love" when it comes to Golden Earring, but honestly, while I do like that song, for me, when I think Golden Earring, I think "Twilight Zone" (I'm hopelessly hooked!):

@QuestioningAmber I used to think I wasn't much of a Disney person (aside from Pooh Bear, of course!), but the Frozen and Ralph movies changed my mind. I may have a total crush on Ana ("Miss feisty-pants", hee hee!!!), but Elsa's wardrobe and crescendos in both movies have me absolutely swooning. And relating...

@Princess-audra wow, first I've come across Isabella Bennett..but...WOW!!!!

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?

Congrats to your family on the new addition!

Funny you think that I would be able to get through more than two sentences with how bad my stutter gets (joking, of course)   My topic would probably be mythology, random Japan factoids in my mind, or a favorite story   (Best option would be a fave story of mine including a lot of factoids on Japanese myths-)

Congratulations @ivy. Nothing beats a family growing two feet at a time!

I read each of your entries and learn so much. Thank you, especially, for the TransCentralPA info. I have been looking fora group and activities where I could express myself safely and with support. I missed this year's conference but next year might be possible and I am going to look at their other events, too.

I have read numerous accounts of trans folk no longer being welcome among evangelicals.   I am here for help and fellowship not to rebuke anyone.  I can take a pretty high degree of insult, etc., and you haven't insulted me, to my recollection anyway :) and I usually let it go.  But I thought I would let it all out there.   I am sure I disagree with you on numerous issues.  I appreciate other people's viewpoints, including those who radically disagree with me.  Intellectual challenge is good. One thing I appreciate about @MaeBe.

      Congrats!
