This is me.

And this is who I was born to be.

I am loving and kind.

Can't you accept that in your mind?

 

The World is a dangerous place

For trans people to show their face.

And all we're trying to do

is live out our truth.

 

Most people will never understand

What it's like to feel like a woman,

But be born as a "man"

 

We get degraded, disrespected and drowned

In this hateful world which brings us down.

I am just a person. One of many,

Who has to feel as they're carrying a burden.

 

It shouldn't be like that.

We should all just be loved.

Celebrated for who we are,

When we show the world, this is me!
