When can I post my Christmas Greetings?

As the title says, when do you think it's time for me to post a Christmas Greeting to you all?

Technically Advent starts on Sun 29th November so I would personally say any time from then is fair game.

Oh, people and their rules.?

I used to be one of those who said no xmas stuff before such and such date. But then, the question crossed my mind, "what harm does it really do me when I see someone decorate earlier than I do? If it makes them happy, why should I want to take that away from them?" I threw my rules out the window.

My neighbors put up their lights and yard decorations last Sunday, and a place a short distance from me was over-lit even before then.  It is up a hill from me and if it weren't in one of the canyons behind a ridge from me I could see it from here.  The only reason I haven't put mine us is because I have my Thanksgiving Day yard decoration on my front porch.

Neighbors a few houses up the road have had lights up for several weeks.  Since the leaves have fallen I can see several other houses on the lake have them too.  Whatever floats their boat!!

 

I still have my Autumn wreath on the front door.  I'll change it in December.

While no outside decorations for me yet (not feeling like climbing on the ladder), but Xmas tree is up - I get to enjoy the light show from it every evening now ?

We don't really indulge in Christmas decorations, but my neighbors put theirs out last weekend. I'm not sure if they're plugged in yet. I don't remember shining reindeer this morning while I was one my way out, but I might have overlooked it.

Since the earliest date Thanksgiving can be is the 22nd I'm saying that any time after that date is fair

I am with DeeDee here as it has a religious background although it has been well twisted toward commerce over the years. I told mum I would be putting her decorations up the first week in December, as usual, and ours will be similar. I do see quite a few about already though.

I don't put my (physical) Christmas decorations up any more, too many losses at this time of year, but I'm quite partial to some digital ones, so look out for them coming in due course. The local butchers in town have theirs up already and the town has the street displays up and lit now too. Don't worry, I won't inflict them too soon on you.
