SHAVING. YEY OR NEY.

  1. 1. Do you feel preassured to shave, as a female-bodied person? (or male bodies, I want yer insight too)

Well I'm living as a guy so I don't have to deal with social pressures to shave my legs and arms. Personally I don't shave anything but my face (I have very little facial hair so if I let it grow out I look like one of those freshman kids who walk around proudly displaying the three hairs on their chin. I don't look manly. I look like an idiot) but when I start T and grow chest hair I will wax it off because I think a hairy chest on a guy is kind of gross looking.

Funny, I get into this argument a lot.

I don't shave my legs, but I shave my armpits most of the time - more out of habit than anything else. But the legs, oh the legs. See, I usually wear jeans. It's just part of what I do usually, and then I wore long shorts, and everything kind of fell to nuts. My friend apparently has a leg fetish (or that's what she calls it), and I am not out enough to give more of a reason than it's a pain in my butt..... She has actually gone as far as tried to force me down and shave my legs (I politely declined and a few of my friends kicked in on my side, so my legs are still gloriously hairy).

Now I kind of just say "intercourse you" to the people who care and shrug it off. Noooooot worth the time it takes to shave, the ingrown hairs, the strips of skin that sometimes come off when shaving (admittedly my lack of focus had something to do with that), and my discomfort. I revel in shorts and people who care should keep it to themselves. It isn't their body - so why should I do what they say I should.

But Mike, if you try to conform to opinions and ideals, you're just going to be very very annoyed because there is no pleasing everyone. Do what you want as long as it's legal. :D

I shave my face and side burns really and only because Im not yet growing enough hair for it to look kool but I grow enough you can notice it xD.

I have hairy knuckles arms armpits legs everything and though I do rather a shaved look in places Im not going to bother until I settle down on T because other wise Im going to mess with my skin too much and turn into a giant zit on legs!

Something for the guys to remember as you start T the oils and hair in the skin changes rapidly mostly you want to just keep it clean and under control for awhile if you start shaving and waxing you could irritate your self and get zits and skin upsets.

And its summer time here I wear t shirts and shorts no one has looked at me different I dont feel Im different due to the hair it should be there and I dont really give it any more thought.

I've been on and off with shaving, shaved it all in HS because of the mom pressure, quit shaving my legs late in high school because i stopped caring, but kept shaving the underarms up until my sophomore year in college by choice. I had never tried having full on pit hair and it scared me because i thought it would lead to bad B/O and my dad's underarm hair has always freaked me out. Now I don't shave ANYTHING (except my head occasionally) and I love it - Apart from feeling more manly (even though my body hair is very faint and very fine), you don't have to deal with razor burn, you sweat less when you've got hair, and I've come to love my natural body odor (and other people don't seem to mind it neither + it's got pheromones). I still trim the nether regions though just to keep it neat.

In my whole 19 years of life i have never once shaved under my arms, the only thing i have once shaved other than face is my legs. And that was only once and kinda by accident actually....it was one of them wet shave things that women get and when i was little i was wondering what it was when i was in the path and i put it along my leg without realising what it was and then i later realised it'd shaved my leg hairs :P I occosinally shave my face....Because it makes me feel manly when i do.....I haven't shaved my face in a long time actually thinkin gabout it now..When i first started to shave my face i drilled it into myself that it'd help it grow more thicker and darrker a part of me knew this was only a myth but i drilled it into myself so much that that is what i needed to do anyways as obvioulsy it doesn't work like that i'm not feeling as desperate to shave anymore...But it does make me feel manly when i do ;)

Body hair.. on me errrrr no, not at all.. anywhere ever. Not because I feel pressured into shaving it off, just because I don't like it on me... but I like it on a man.. gives me something to get hold of.

When my mom would tell me to shave, I'd tell her that hair couldn't be evil because it was what grew there naturally. If God put the hair there, how can it be bad? That shut her up.

OWNED!!!!

I used to shave obsessively, my entire body, because I was denying my gender identity a little cuz I was in love with a straight boy.

Now I only shave occasionally, not at all in the winter, but in the summer when I knw I'm gonna be swimming or something I might shave a few days before, just so it's not as noticeable. But for swimming I have a surfshirt that covers my underarms and I might get trunks so I'd only have to shave my lower legs :)

I like what little body hair I have so I don't shave any of it. I'm not blond but I have very light brown hair so my leg hair is naturally thin and light in color. So it's not too noticeable anyway.

That sounds pretty accurate. I'm just glad I don't use Windows anymore, as I basically consider Windows itself a virus/malware. Backups can absolutely save you from some types of malware like ransomware. However it's ideal to just not get infected by having smart browsing habits. It's been said, and very accurately so, that the best antivirus is you - even the best antivirus isn't 100% accurate in detecting bad stuff, if you go out looking for that stuff or browse carelessly.   I guess if you don't care and/or don't have sensitive data on your PC, then that's fine I suppose. I personally care a lot - personal accounts, private messages, and even my very presence on this site aren't necessarily things I want to be public knowledge. 🤓🫠

Yes he is. Sorry it has taken so long. One sick kid and the other has needed my attention more than usually.

Sure is! Is he good with the kiddos?

Once again the Biden admin ignores Congress and issues a regulation that can be quickly changed. It would be much wiser if they worked a bill through Congress that became law.

I think that is the camera on the floor. Of course the kids aren't picking up after themselves oh well. He sure is big for only being 6 months old.

@Birdie @Adrianna Danielle    @Willow    Big news today. We're moving to WA. My wife is taking a job and I am most likely losing mine, so it's adventure time. I'm supposed to be a risk-seeker (Aries, ENTP, etc.) but this is hitting every klaxon and alarm in my brain, but it's going to make my wife and kids happy and it will be a place to make new friends as me without the 45 years of binary baggage. There are tech jobs all over Seattle, which we'll be near, and it's a decent State for trans rights (I don't know how it compares to MN, which is a refuge state). So wish us luck! This could be the best thing ever or rocky as hell, who knows!

I know the feeling. I had to replace the dishwasher, fridge, stove. The only other issues that could pop up is the washer and dryer and the microwave oh I forgot the toaster.

That's the hard part of online relationships, they really never get to see the whole you. You either have to create a persona that will carry the day until they get to see you for who you are, or be open and take the risk because it's really easy for them to disconnect because there is little to no bond.   You have to share pictures of your puppy! I am not a dog person, but I can appreciate them in jpg format! My kiddos would love to have a pet, but we're all allergic in some shape or form and my wife and I are like, "no." :D
    • Ashley0616
I'm sorry Birdie! I wished you could move to a non-stressful place.

I love shopping for cars with my imaginary budget lol. A mustang is always fun to drive! Every time I felt down or depressed I drove it and it made me happy!

      It absolutely does!

Well things have actually been really good lately. I got a dog last Friday. I forgot how expensive they are but they are worth it. Now if I can just get him potty trained that would be awesome! He only has one particular spot inside that he likes so I try to watch him carefully. He is part German Shepheard and part Lab. He is very low maintenance. The sad part is that he didn't know what to do with a treat nor did he knew how to play fetch instead my youngest was playing fetch. He is kind of getting used to toys somewhat. I'm no longer expecting a relationship because I tell them what is wrong with me because I don't want them to be surprised about anything and they always ghost me. Oh well.
